Just because you are a coward and think that hugs not guns will solve all the worlds problems, not everyone when faced in a situation where their life is in danger will willingly roll over and play dead. Other people like Zimmerman will do whatever is necessary to protect them and their families safety. While you are worrying about the social consequences and moral implications of defending yourself against the person attacking you and your family, others with more testicular fortitude will make a snap decision to end the threat using whatever means possible. It's sad to think that most leftists like yourself would let their family be raped, robbed - or worse - and be able to sleep soundly at night, justifying their inaction in that they can have a clean conscience knowing that they didn't respond to the situation with violence.

Make sure it's Arizona Iced Tea. newfie is picky about the details. You probably need to verify if it was the small or jumbo size Skittles, too.

The case hasn't started yet, to my knowledge. There's been no testimony, but there have been releases to the media of some of the evidence, such as the medical reports. Personally, I think there should be a gag order on the whole trial and once a jury's empaneled, they should be sequestered for the duration of the trial.

I think you might be surprised as you seem to assume so much about me yet have never met me and I'd be interested to see if you are as disrespectful in person as you are on here. There are plenty of "big men" on the internet.

This is quite the tangent but.....
Yeah same sort of deal I think with the term "Redneck", some embrace it others find it offensive. IMO it is similar to other terms that people use, it's more about context and who it may be coming from and how it is used.
My screen name does not say "Newfie" it's "newf", specifically as to not upset those that are sensitve to the former.
Also using the Urban Dictionary is probably not the best source for such info as I suspect YOU of all people would have noticed the use of "race" and "breed of people" incorrectly. It's not all wrong but it's not the best synopisis IMO.

Actually, the prosecutor should be dropping the charges. Theres more than enough evidence to claim reasonable doubt which is a not guilty verdict. Then get a good lawyer to sue the family for slander, Sharpton and Jackson as co defendants and the city for false arrest and imprisonment.

I really hope he does just that. Should call out Obama too.
I think if Zimmerman is cleared of any wrong doing, and despite the media's best efforts it is proven that Trayvon was nothing but a gang banging thug - Obama should be forced to eat his words. Republicans should remind voters how Obama said if he had a son - he would look like Trayvon. It would be a great chance to remind the public of the kind of people that Obama represents. Not only would it be a win for the Repubs, but also Blessed Trayvon's momma who could laugh her way to the bank with the royalties.

Trayvon is wearing white, which makes it look more pure and innocent, the police officer is overweight which they envision would suggest lazyness or corruption, and of course, the KKK hat to show that it's racist.
Yep, it looks like he had been toking, aside from drug users being paranoid, pot smokers are usually pretty mellow as compared to drinkers. All in all, being high (assuming he was still buzzing) will probably not stand up in court for being pursued and then later shot. I guess we'll see what the jury says. ORLANDO, Fla. — Medical examiners found evidence of marijuana in Trayvon Martin's system after he was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer, an autopsy report released Thursday shows.
The report was included in a large amount of evidence released by prosecutors that includes many new details about the case. The autopsy says the examiners found THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, when they tested Martin's blood and urine.
Also in the package is a photo of suspect George Zimmerman with a bloody nose taken the night of the fight. A paramedic report says Zimmerman had a 1-inch laceration on his head and forehead abrasion.
"Bleeding tenderness to his nose, and a small laceration to the back of his head. All injuries have minor bleeding," paramedic Michael Brandy wrote about Zimmerman's injuries in the report.
Zimmerman told a police officer that he did not have any other bruises or cuts but his back hurt, according to a police report.
Whether Zimmerman was injured in the Feb. 26 altercation with Martin has been a key question. Zimmerman has claimed self-defense and said he only fired because the unarmed teenager attacked him.
Zimmerman is awaiting trial on a second-degree murder charge. He has pleaded not guilty.
The photo and reports were among evidence released by prosecutors that also includes 911 calls, video and numerous other documents. The package was received by defense lawyers earlier this week and released to the media on Thursday.
The report by Sanford police officer Christopher Serino says Martin had $40.15, Skittles candy, a red lighter, headphones and a photo pin in his pocket. He had been shot once in the chest and had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Lab tests by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Orlando operations center concluded that residue tests on Martin's sweatshirt were "consistent with a contact shot" — that is, one in which the muzzle of the weapon is physically touching the victim.
But the autopsy report from the Volusia County (Fla.) Medical Examiner's office reached a different conclusion based on examination of the wound itself, saying, "This wound is consistent with a wound of entrance of intermediate range."
It's fascinating to watch this... if I were the prosecuting attorney.. I'd probably give some valiant speech and then rest my case - because I WOULDN'T HAVE ONE. Especially with this new evidence...

Urban Dictionary is one of the few places to go and get the "real" meaning of things people say. It's never going to be 100% accurate, but it did back up you.

Zimmerman did say he appeared to be on drugs or something. It helps support Zimmerman's assertion that Martin looked suspicious and wasn't just strolling home from a candy run. It could be Martin wasn't doing anything wrong, but if he was on drugs his actions may have looked odd to an observer. I don't see how it can help the prosecution.
The THC, accompanied by the fact he was suspended from school, and other things lends creedence to the fact he was up to no good. The Z man may have been on to something, and believed at the time his approach was right, but who could have anticipated what this kid would do. It appears pretty obvious that he was the aggressor (from a witness Martin was on top of him striking him MMA style). It's sad that he was shot and killed, but when you are brutally attacking someone they will defend themselves with any means necessary. I can't say I would do anything different, especially for a kid that is over six feet tall.
The THC only means he got stoned and for some people that can make very paranoid. Though I have never become aggressive or confrontational when smoking. So that could be why the kid thought he was in danger by the shooter.
But we really don’t know what happened and probably never will even after this goes to court.
If the kid attacked the shooter then I think the shooter had every right to use his gun. But if the shooter confronted the kid then it could go the other way. We need to hear the witnesses statements and some have not been told as of yet. I want to hear what the black kid who was walking the dog has to say. Supposedly he saw the whole thing.

Apparently, like id guessed the first day, there were video cameras present. They have released some of the videos to the public but they are way too dark and grainy to tell much from. Im sure these will be enhanced if it goes to court by either the defense or prosecution depending on who wants it to prove their side. One thing is the videos being so dark (as they are to me) do back up that the area is dark and not a brightly lit public sidewalk like some want you to believe. Even crap cameras do decent in light. I do not have nite vision or infared cameras and just the light from a few porchlights lite up most of a 50 yard area behind my house well enough you can make out faces and car types late at nite.
While you may not consider the presence of pot criminal, like said it does add to the other things, like burglary tools, stolen jewelry, expelled from school, etc that Martin was not the sweet innocent child his parents want you to believe. Every day that goes by just adds more to show he is a typical school age thug. I wonder if they have investigated any relationships with gangs or gang members he might have had. He had tatoos....any gang symbols. People that consider themselves gangbangers even in their own mind usually associate with like people.
No dogs in this fight, but what if Travon was defending himself from Zimmerman?

Regardless, it's a tragedy. I wasn't perfect at Trayvons age. He might have turned out to be a very good person or he might have turned out to be a thug. I too have sympathy for all involved.
