yup. I just reserved my room for saturday night. see y'all there!
We've got 12 sign-ups so far on the website. We're showing 15 on the page here. Who hasn't signed up. I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to get with Manesh at the hotel to see how many people had actually called for reservations yet. I am very happy with all of the people signing up early though. It is a refreshing change from earlier years and makes it much easier for me to make plans. If folks wait till the last minute it is very possible that we won't have enough goodie bags, raffle prizes, food, etc. So if you haven't signed up yet and plan to come, please go ahead and send us a form. It don't cost anything and it really helps out. Thanks.
Still open to those vendors who frequent the forum but haven't stepped up yet as well. We've got about 7 weeks. Plenty of time to get your stuff in for the charity raffle.
Hay Mark, I am sure there will be lots of good pictures. I plan to take at least one (possibly two) digital movie camera and a couple of digital still cameras and get footage. If I get enough good stuff I may do a DVD.

Let me know when you get your shirt! The great thing about this company is that they ship within 48 hours of your order being placed and they have a 30 day warranty so you can send the shirt back if it is somehow messed up. Their shipping is kinda slow (4-5 days) but still not bad. You get your items quick!

Today I was planning on just going to the beach and looking around, maybe walking around on the beach in Carmel.
But yeah, I forgot that I like to drive my car.
I just did the northern half of the run. From Marina to Lucia and back. Stopped at the same Vista Point that we met the cop at last year, and sat in the stream with the chairs, as well as a few random pullouts to check out the ocean. MAN it's beautiful! Unfortunately it was really foggy, so I had to slow down for most of the trip. Lots of large vehicles going slowly. Hopefully that won't be the case on our weekend.
And might I say, YAY FOR TWISTIES!
I went from a nice walk on the beach to a 120 mile round trip spur of the moment drive. Man I love doing that.

John, depending on what time you made your reservation with the hotel, that makes you number 16. I only have a bout 10 hotel registrations on my list so I am missing a few. Actually I only have 13 signups at all so there are a couple of people coming that I am not aware of yet. I'll have to get a list from Manesh soon and compare to my own.
I really appreciate everyone not waiting till the last minute this year. It really makes it easier on me trying to get stuff planned.
Hopefully we can double this number before time for the Run!
1. Jess (kooljess) and Patti 2. Rick and Jen (Rickady88GT) 3. Roy and Sandy (Silvermist) 4. Kit (Kitskaboodle) 5. John and Mary (fierobear and Mrs. Bear) 6. Jeannie and Jerry (gldkarma) 7. Reservations are made; I'm even going to bring a Fiero this year...

Will do! I'd like to get one w/my car on it, but don't have a digital camera that works, don't have a writable disk drive, and am generally extremely behind the times on all this stuff and how it works, so probably can't get you what you need. Maybe we can get some nice pictures on the drive.

Sure we can! I'll be bringing several digital cameras and just make sure we get together for a good hi-res picture. I'll be leaving the store active for quite a while after the Run so people can get shirts with their own cars if they want. I can also do shirts with a design of the car without the Coast Run logo, like I did for Rickady88GT.

Is anyone bringing their kids to the Coast Run? If so, our 25 year old daughter is coming and bringing our eight year old daughter so we told her she might be able to make a little pocket money offering babysitting services during the actual Run. It might be helpful for some people that have kids... Remember kids eat free at the dinner on Saturday night!
Yeah, yeah.. I know a Fiero is a two-seater but some people might be bringing more than one car! haha

Hey, that's really nice, Dale! I'd love a short sleeve t-shirt and a long-sleeve one with the Fiero logo in black and my gold car on the front! Thanks!

Yeah Jess, just send me a high res. Try to get an angle that I can work with and an idea of what you would like to have around it. If you want something similar to Rick's I can just change the Fiero logo to red and put your screen name on it. Otherwise, tell me what you would like. 200 dpi is best if you have it.
Unfortunately, that particular shirt is not available with red trim but you can pick any shirt, or any item for that matter. There is a baseball jersey that has a red collar and red three-quarter sleeves. One one of Rick's I put the picture on the front and his screen name across the shoulders on the back like a jersey. I can pretty much do whatever you want.
Once again I am awed with the response from vendors that we are getting for items for the charity auction at the Coast Run. These companies every year offer their support of not only the Coast Run and the Fiero hobby, but also for finding a cure for childhood cancer.
I will keep a running list of vendors below and I hope that everyone will continue to support these vendors as they continue to support us. And I challenge more Fiero vendors to step up and help out. So far, non-Fiero vendors are far outdoing Fiero vendors. Maybe it is because of other fundraisers that are going on. All in all, we are still getting some great prizes in and will hopefully raise a little money to help St. Judes. We have some other charity things going on as well, as those of you who have registered already know!
I just got my first Coast Run T-shirt in today. I was very pleased with the quality of both the shirt and the print. But you gotta figure that a company that offers a 30 day money back guarantee is going to do good work.

Here is an update of registrations that I have at this moment. This is from the information that was entered onto the registration form. If something has changed please let me know.
So far, we have 25 people registered and 14 cars. According to the hotel there are more rooms than that registered so we are missing some people. Maybe we are drawing some new blood to the addiction!

Jess, I tried having them made and sent to me last year and it was a nightmare. That is why I set the store up so each person can place their own order and the shirts will be delivered directly to the buyer. The only way I need to do anything special is if you want your car on the shirt. If not, just go to http://www.fiero-performance.com and click the merchandise link and start shopping. It is all automatic and your item(s) will be shipped automatically within two days of your order being placed.
As I mentioned earlier, I am bringing a couple of hi-res digital cameras this year and I will take photos for anyone who is interested in getting a shirt or something. Last year we tried to do it while we were all in line. I think this year I will just let people find me and we will take them at our leisure. I will keep this store open long enough that anyone who wants to order anything will be able to.

That's the place alright--College Place, WA! We'll be in Idaho for Thanksgiving, but I'm sure there'll be a Christmas party and hope you'll be back by then! I guess we'll decide where and when by the November mtg. Take care, man, and again, good luck!

I just got off the phone with the restaurant that catered the Saturday night dinner last year. They have raised their price from last year as most everyone has. For the exact same dinner we had last year for $16.50, the price is now $20.00 even. This is a full meal with dessert, but drinks are not included.
The meal was good last year and there was plenty of food and even leftovers. Does the $20 price put dinner out of range for some folks? If so, I will shop for something more budget-minded. I knew the weekend can get kind of expensive with all of the gas, food, and hotel but I want to make this so the most people can participate.
Thought?
