HT Motorsports is the company formerly known as Held Motorsports. The owner, Lee Waldmiller, is a returning vendor for the Coast Run. The new site looks very cool!

I've just been reminded that I have to be in San Jose at 9AM Sunday morning next weekend, which presents me with an obvious problem. I can either not go to San Simeon, or drive home after dinner saturday, and I just found this all out so I haven't decided yet.
Dale, did you give the caterers a final count yet?
Well my plan is to drive home after Dinner so you can team up with me if you make it down for dinner

I sure hate that you had to waste your 100th post on that! :P
But since you did... Thank you, honey! It feels like I am getting younger instead of older, thanks to you. Not to many women would let a guy do some silly car run every year on his birthday. I got me a good one!

I finally got the 'participant packet' ready to go today. This includes itinerary, maps, menus, pictures, etc. All we need to get through the weekend successfully! I normally put a bunch of these together and hand them out on Friday night but I figured I'd let people have a little time to peruse the information and ask questions if needed.
The graphics are in color but you can swith it to greyscale when you print to save ink. I'll still print a few of these and print out for people who may show up that are not on the forum. Try to bring this with you and you will be able to follow the odometer along the route. (Disclaimer: The odometer readings are what I got from Microsoft Streets & Trips. It was different than what we got this year in the Reatta on the test run. Your readings may vary but at least it gives you an idea.)
I responded in the other thread too, but I'll say it here as well... I would think that maybe some of the guys up in the area might be able to point you in the right direction or otherwise I think you are going to have trouble finding someone to do it in 4 days. Most shops book a lot farther out than that. I know that Spddy, in Walnut Creek, is already booking into next year.
The best scenario would be that some of our Fiero buddies who has experience with this would be able to help you mount them and then you could take the car someone to be finished and sprayed. Maybe the local guys will come up with something in the morning.

I concur. 4 days is not nearly enough time for a project like side scoops, not to do it right. Hang onto them, do them right over the winter, and have it all pretty and ready for the Rally in May.
Ive decided to put my brake on hold because that can be fixed in an hour for 60 bucks. im going to take a trip to maaco in the morning and see what can be done. Again, thanks for the advice, and I hope on saturday youll see my car looking something like this.

Considering how important brakes are, especially on a road that runs along a cliff, I would make sure you get that done ASAP and not let cosmetic stuff trump that. I'm sure you know that, I just felt better having said it.

lol i know i know, but then again have been racing up highway 9 and skyline for months with this rattling brake so it can hold off a day if required. I mean, i may just drop off my scoops and come back another day in the week for the install so i may still have the brake fixed tomorrow who knows

The brakes on the Reatta rattle like crazy. It had me worried to death until I got on a Reatta forum and found that all Reatta brakes just rattle and the owners accept it. They are not much into modifying those cars. I finally did find a couple of people that had done a brake upgrade so I will do that later to get rid of the rattle.
On another note, Reattas have some funky German mechanical anti-lock brake system. Unlike most cars that give you a little warning if the brakes go out, the Reatta can just go from 100% brakes to nothing without warning! The power brakes are mechanically boosted instead of vacuum boosted and if it goes out, it is just gone. At least on normal cars you still have brakes that just require you to push harder. I spent the day with Rickady not long ago and let him figure them out because it is too complicated for me!

All of these people and company are donating their wares to help raise money for charity and also to help promote the Fiero and the Coast Run. I appreciate each one of them and hope that when the time comes that you need to order something, you will remember these people who helped out. Thanks.
Kooljess and a couple of his buddies are coming up that way. They are heading from Marina Del Rey up 101 to 1 and then on in to San Simeon. Not sure what their timetable is but it should be easy for you to catch on when they come through.

I'm happy to report that the starter on Gecko's 3.4 GT was sucessfully replaced and the car is back on the road, so he will be able to make the run. That makes 3 bright yellow GTs now. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Well, the Solstice guys warmed up our road for us this past weekend. They only went as far as Big Sur though. There is one guy who didn't have his Solstice on time to bring it on this trip so if he gets it this week he is coming with us.
More Fiero vendors are coming through with last minute donations! Make sure and take a look at the list above and support these vendors! It has been a tough year for a lot of vendors, with lots of charities asking for donations. These guys have continued to step up and we need to support them as much as we can.

Tick tock tick tock, round went the clock, eager eyes a looking, minds ideas cooking, what will we do,with all the cars blue,or the funny fellow, with his car colored yellow.Out on the run,all so much fun, round all the bends, talk with all our friends,we'll go really fast,Will enjoy while it lasts, such a special place, wind on our face, the joys we will reach, coast run on the beach,It's late we won't tire, sitting around the fire, you know how it goes, will get sand in our toes, what a time we will make, excited about the risks we will take, don't miss the turn,or it Will be crash and burn, cause it's a long way down, down down down to the ground, I can't hardly wait, like a fish looking at bait,,just a few more days ,till we act out our craze.

Don't forget your important Coast Run - related advice pokey: If you're gonna go driving on the coast, eat something first, cause the only thing worse than driving off a cliff is starving to death at the bottom.

PLAY HARD-DIE FAST And folks always remember to eat before driving on the coast. If you fly off the cliff and no one finds you the only thing worse than knowing you are going to bleed to death alone is to do it hungry.

You know, I'm getting old. I don't know if my old heart could take that much exceitement!

Not this year, I won't have anyone to play with. I had my fun last time, think I set a record too. I'll still be up towards the front of the pack, but no stupid stuff.
Well after having just paid off the engine swap, the distributor replaced, and just recently the starter replaced, I think I will be having fun while not going crazy. Now if I had the alignment and the brakes done...........well then
<----will probably be a funny looking guy in a yellow fiero.
