Jeez am I meeting 2 V8's in Aptos? Ill try to keep up lol.
P.S. AMAZING discorvery made today. My roomate had his Acura towed today and the truck driver new my Fiero! He said he saved it from the scrap heap, got it running, and sold it to the guy who owned it before me who overhauled the entire car.

Nah, no ulcers for me! I'll just see you guys when the rest of us get there! haha
I've been known to drive a little fast from time to time myself. The only thing that got to me a little last year was the passing on the double yellow lines on the hills. I admit that I got a little tense at that point.
Since we are bringing the Reatta this year, we won't be going as fast. It has a 3800 in it and has more HP than a stock Fiero, but it don't have the torque of a stock Fiero. And it dang sure don't handle like my 88! It rides great (like a Buick) but was not intended for the curves. Of course, Lee Waldmiller is trying to come up with something for me to improve that.

See if an 88 Fiero suspension will bolt up?

One more time on the Updated Vendor List. If there are any vendors who have written in or sent items that I have left off the list accidently, please let me know. Thanks.
Oh its not fair, you say? But we both have 3.4 liters!
Hahah! Just messin'. Should be a good time ;-)
BTW what tires are you running? I'm probably getting some 15x7s this week and I'd like to know what sizes to consider for the rear.
Heh heh, you're just lucky I'm still saving a few more pennies to finish off my mods. It would be a closer match then! I'll still give a run for your money. Chris told me last year I did pretty damn good when he came after me with his 3.4 DOHC Turbo.
Honestly, I don't know what my rims are exactly, cause they came with the car. They're 15s, and I'm running 225s on the rear (and front actually) cause thats as wide as I could get on there. Also, I'm told that for the best handling on a Fiero, you should stagger the tires by about 20 or so. When I get new tires, I'm going to go 205 front and 225 rear.

You guys are going to give Dale ulcers. Maybe y'all could slow up a bit once in a while and let West,Tinay and I catch up.
Man I can't wait for the 8 o'clock in the morning safety meeting.
Let them? Like that'll be hard to do. West was on my outta no where last year, though I don't know what he'll be driving this year, I don't think his car is back together yet. Tinay only has a 2.8 in that lambo, but I've seen him take off like a bat out of hell with a 2.8, so he's not counted out either. Last year his wife wouldn't let him play.
And why are you bringing the Coupe? We busted butt to get the GT ready for WestFest and it almost was. Don't tell me you still haven't finished the last few things to get it on the road! Have fun at that safety meeting, it was a blast last time we had one!
PS: For the record, when I started that pass, it was a broken yellow line, and I could see 3 miles up the road, so I knew no one was coming over that hill.

225 it is. I'll leave my 195s up front for now so a 195/225 stagger should be good with my heavier motor in the back.

I don't know that it was you that I was talking about.. But it was on that little roller coaster section of road that is all double yellow lines and about 5 cars went whizzing past! It scared the crap out of me and Marie both! haha
I don't know that Chris is coming this year. I kept sending them hints to register and they never did. I even called a few days ago and talked to Tennessee and he said he didn't know. He said Chris had mentioned it a while back and that was the end of it. And they didn't respond to any of my donation letters either... Tennessee did say that Chris' car is still apart so they might just not come. That would be a shame. We gotta have the whole gang together!

Fierobear / east bay people......how about swinging over to San Jose to pick up a few north bay/south bay people? So far, Marty (Pepe Le Pu) Roy & Sandy (Silvermist) and John Sr. & John Jr. (Gecko) will be meeting me at the Chuck E. Cheese near the intersection of 101 & Tully around 12:00-12:30. Let me know if this is doable otherwise we will form our own caravan.
Thanks, Kit

Any of you Bay Area folks have a spare pair of 15x7 Fiero GT or Beretta rims sitting around? I already have tires. Just want to make sure I have a place to get these if I can't find any at the junkyard on Thursday. PM me. I'll be able to drop by Thursday afternoon to pay for and receive them.

It looks like about 30 minutes longer from San Jose to Paso Robles than it is from Bakersfield to Paso Robles. We're leaving Bakersfield at 1:00PM and stopping at the James Dean Memorial to pick up another part of our group. We should be at the Hwy 46 (Cambria/Hearst Castle) Exit around 3:30-3:45. If you guys can meet up with fierobear and the rest of his group we should have a nice little run into San Simeon. I'm not sure what time the bear's are leaving but if we can all get there pretty close to the same time it will be cool.
Our group as far as I know is: Songman & Rie daniel87fierogt & his Dad Rickady88GT & JenzGT2 mcaanda & wife Sniper & wife Gldkarma & Jerry

I've got plenty of them down here but it is a pretty far drive. I think I even have a few with really good tires on them.

I don't know if Chris is coming.I'll call him and find out. Tinay isn't bringing the lambo he is bringing the black coupe w/3.4 and i am not going to bring th eGT because I am not happy about the way it idles. I can't find a leak and yet it won't idle all the way down. Besides it is an auto with a stock 2.8. I can do that good with the four banger and a five speed. Plus I don't care about the coupe!!!
As far as for the record I have seen you on an outside blind curve one pound short of a slide into the ocean without room for correction and no time for redemption. Thats when the phrase "not enough time to hit the brakes and shLt is to long of a word" comes into play.

Sorry guys.. It is my fault Tinay isn't bringing the Lambo. There have been a lot of landslides over there his year and the road is VERY rough in places. After riding with him in that Lambo and seeing how much it scrubs, Hwy 1 is the last place he needs to take it. He could probably get through alright if he would drive slow enough to navigate the bumps but that is not likely to happen.
I've told the story before of the first time I went on the Run For The Hills. I was in my 88 T-top coupe. I had the only 4-cyl there. It was on curvy roads where handling was more important than torque and I did just fine. As a matter of fact, I stayed in front of a lot of GTs all day long. The only time they had anything for me was on one stretch on interstate.

Dale, I'm going up I-5 tomorrow to get home from Los Angeles. How much do you want for two fo 'em? I already bought the 225s so I'll take some with worn out tires or no tires at all if you have any.

That would be a shame. We gotta have the whole gang together!
I doubt if I'm considered part of the Whole Gang, but unfortunately the woman & I won't be able to make it! With my 2 promotions at work, and the holiday season getting so close (that's the SuperBowl Holiday Season), work is EXTREMELY bad (I'm booked out until the middle of Jan.), and having bad management to deal with doesn't help, so I'm going to have to pass guys!
NOTE: FOR THOSE OF YOU INTERESTED IN COMING, AND HAVEN'T BEEN TO WCF WITHIN THE LAST 6 MONTHS, WCF HAS MOVED. CHECK OUT EITHER THE THREAD MENTIONED, OR THE FIEROS WEST PAGE FOR THE NEW ADDRESS!
Anyone need any further info, you can PM me here, or email me at charles@westcoastfiero.com
Hope to see you all there!

You get all warm and gooshy inside by knowing you help out children in need by putting smiles on their faces, whenever you drive by with that car on the trailer all lit up with neon. A car that isn't made anymore, is kept alive by being the prize posession of most of their owners who spend 5 times more than what they paid for them to gain a few more horsepower, and loose a couple seconds off their 1/4 mile, and spend many of nights sleeping "in the dog house" because of it. You help them save their paychecks on tow bills by being the "Fieros West & WCF Support Vehicle". LOL. I don't remember that particular incident, you'll have to refresh my memory.
I know you don't care about the coupe, but the GT is the cruiser. I think you think its cursed or something, cause every time it hits Highway 1 it blows up. Can't say I blame you. The coupe hauls pretty good too. Funny how the car you put the least work and money into stands up the best. Tinay's bringing the black GT, huh? That should make it interesting, hes fast enough in a 2.8, much less a 3.4.
I feel the need to reaffirm my stand that we should draw the line at 'spirited' driving. I had fun last year, but that was more than enough. I'm all for driving fast, but we should keep it reasonable this time around, we don't have the greatest track record with people driving overly fast to date.

What time will you be coming through? You can come by and take a look to see what I have and if you like something we can work it out. I'm about 10 miles off of the 5. Let me know if you wanna come look and I'll PM you my cell number.
As far as the speedy driving... I'm not too worried about you guys. The first year of the Run, me and Evil88 drove like maniacs in our matching black 88 GT T-tops (mine had paint, his didn't). Last year we slowed it down but still kept a good pace I think. As far as I know we only had one mishap and he was at the rear of the pack and not driving as fast as the rest of us. Just lost him mind trying to show off in a curve apparently. The scary thing is that he could have just as easily gone off the cliff to his death as he went into that bank. I just don't want to see the Coast Run fade away because someone got killed. There is lots of traffic on the 1, plus it is in really bad shape to boot. Seems that the CHP is patroling heavily these days too. We'll all have fun. We'll drive fast enough... And we will all be safe and go home with memories of another great Coast Run! (Some great raffle prizes too!)

Well, as ya'll are so fond of saying...Im callin BS on you Scott ( FB86)- I screamed and covered my eyes as you crested the top of a DOUBLE YELLOW LINE hill....then pointed it out to Dale in my best screechey girl voice.....then swore I was gonna whoop up on you when you got back to the hotel....then the sea lions caught my attention and I thought...ouwww cooolll......hey, just as good.
This year however...I've brushed up on my Krav-maga and will be kicking the stuffins out of anyone who does an "apache fiero" this year..... Stand warned!!!!

It's true! She has! And I have the bruises to prove it! haha
As far as I know, the Apache has still not been repaired since the last Run and will not be making it on this one.

Yes Ma'am! Color me lucky last year, thank goodness for the Sea Lions! I have a big long rationalization about why I'm not as stupid as that made me appear, but I don't think it matters. Now I don't actually know what Krav-maga is, but judging by Dale's comment on it, I don't think I want to find out the hard way.

Cause I got a perfect track record. I never died not even once!
LOL, I meant we as in the group. We had the guy with the silver one at WestFest 04, the kid at the Coast Run last year, and you blew up cars at both of those. I'm just sayin...

Well, it is official... Curly is not going to make it to the Coast Run in the widebody. He just called me and he is still in Florida. He has been there since Monday, when he expected to pick up his car and head back, but the guys still don't have it done.
Looks like we'll have to have another Bakersfield gathering pretty soon for him to show it off...
On another note, there may be a chance to see one of Orville's creations at the Coast Run. He is not going to make the Run but he may try to make it over on Saturday morning before we head up the coast. He is a real early riser so I told him to come on over if he can! The Bakersfield gatherings are usually the only place to see his toys too.
Shucks! Curly should have just drove the Silver Chop. He is missing out.
Another Bakersfield meet would be very cool!
Oh, and what channel are we setting our walkie talkies too?
The silver chop has been taken apart for quite a while now. He was hoping to make it back but they just didn't get him out the door in time...
My radios are on channel 3, sub-channel 11. We cab start with that and if anyone has a reason to change to another channel we can handle that when we get over there.
