Would love to take the ride, but I am scheduled to be racing at Buttonwillow that weekend. For those of you that are heading back south, on Sunday, the 13th, Buttonwillow Raceway Park is right off I-5 at Lerdo Highway, about 10 miles south of Highway 46 which comes inland from Paso Robles. Wouldn't mind seeing some of your cars there, particularly if I am able to have the 4.9 race car ready to run that weekend.

Wow.. Lots of growth here since I have been gone! Maybe if I go on another road trip for a couple more weeks we can double this number! I'm glad to see all the old familiar faces and the new ones as well...
Just a reminder - You don't have to have a running Fiero for this Coast Run! We have always had a couple of vehicles that were being driven by Fiero owners whose cars were 'under development'. As mentioned earlier, Rie and I will be in our front-engined Fiero this year and enjoying all the trunk space! Don't let not having a Fiero stop anyone from coming and enjoying this Run! It is always a good time and there are always lots of friendships made and rekindled there. (BTW- If anyone who is not bringing a Fiero wants to bring a wad of cash over instead, I'll bring the T-top over and let you take it home with you!)

Do you have a flyer we can print out like last year? We have a couple car things we are going to and it would be nice to have a flyer to give anyone interested.

My two week trip got me behind a little bit, Rick, but I am home now and will get it done ASAP! I had e-mailed Reality about helping me with one of his magic images for the T-shirt/flyer. Never heard back from him so I guess I will do one myself. I'll get one done in the next couple of days. I have the design all done except for adding the car.

We will be in Vegas on vacaton for my b-day the week before, so who knows.. We may stay an extra week!
Hey Chet.. Good to hear ya (does this place count) again!? I was thinking about it since Jess & I were chatting awhile ago, and I believe that you and I met over at Bully Bully's house years ago before he passed away!
Anywayz, If we are back, and I can take this event date off to, we will be there!

When most people don't even know what a Fiero is, let alone just where the motor is, you seem to somehow fit right in. You see the looks people give to that car with the PIAA light conversion, the 2" drop springs, big scoops on the hood, and the 19" tires that are bigger than the car itself, and get a kick out of their reactions. You get all warm and gooshy inside by knowing you help out children in need by putting smiles on their faces, whenever you drive by with that car on the trailer all lit up with neon. A car that isn't made anymore, is kept alive by being the prize posession of most of their owners who spend 5 times more than what they paid for them to gain a few more horsepower, and loose a couple seconds off their 1/4 mile, and spend many of nights sleeping "in the dog house" because of it. You help them save their paychecks on tow bills by being the "Fieros West & WCF Support Vehicle". So crack open a drink, Fiero Tower Guy, and know that the Fiero community appreciates your participation & support. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be able to show Corvettes and Porches just how Mean the "M" in 2M6 can get!

This logo shown here is reduced to be shown on the forum. I have the full 't-shirt' sized one here on my computer. I am working on setting up the T-shirts now. I am doing it differently this year and people will be able to order their own shirts in advance of the Run and have them to wear there if you want! Plus, there will be lots of different styles available to. If you want your car on a shirt this year, let me know and I can do that too. I think I gave you the disk with the hi-res version of your car on it. If so, you'll need to send me the graphic if you want one.
The pdf flyer is set up for a .5 inch margin all the way around an 8.5x11 page. I printed it out here and it worked fine. And yes, I will have all of the needed info on the website by the end of the weekend. My suggestion would be for anyone who is giving these out, if you feel comfortable doing it, put your phone number on there for people to call in your area. If not, the website will suffice.
Rick, give me a call and let me know when you want to see the Reatta!

While I was setting everything up, I ended up making another shirt design too. Any opinions on which one is better? I'll probably offer both of them anyway so it don't really matter.. As last year, if someone can supply me with a good high res photo of their car I can have it put on any of the items we'll have available...
anyone near manteca willing to help me out? ive ran into a problem with my fiero and i need to pull the motor and i wanna get it all done before the cost run so i can go!!!! so if anyones near the area (stockton, modesto, tracy area) willing to help out here in a few weeks call me @ 209-271-1460 or email me @ importcowboys@msn.com or HI-TECH@comcast.net....i can hook ya up with some cheep cb parts...i'm currently in the desighn stage of a 3' wilson adapter plate for a permenet mount that will have a good ground and get the lowest posable SWR

I'm sure there are some people that live close that might be able to lend a hand. Seems like I remember a couple of guys rushing last year to get an engine in for the Run. As I recall, one of them made it all the way through the Run without blowing up. Just make sure you leave yourself enough time to thouroughly test the engine before taking off on the Run. Hwy 1 is not a good place to break down!
I think we may have to have some sort of hard luck award this year. We've had a couple of drama incidents during the past couple of years. Luckily no one has ever been hurt.
The registration form is up and running on the website! There are special benefits of registration this year that you won't want to miss! And after you register, don't tell anyone else the benefits or you only hurt your own chances!
When you register, please check all parts of the Run that you plan to participate in. DO NOT check that you will be attending the dinner Saturday night unless you understand that the catered dinner will be approximately $16 as it was last year and you plan to buy your ticket before dinner starts Saturday. I have to pay the caterers in advance and it is on a per person basis. For those of you bringing small children, don't worry. Children under 10 do not need to be registered and can eat free.
So far, we have 13 confirmed on this website. I haven't checked with the hotel yet to see how many registrations we actually have. I'll do that tomorrow.
Who is ready to add to the list?
1. Jess (kooljess) and Patti 2. Rick and Jen (Rickady88GT) 3. Roy and Sandy (Silvermist) 4. Kit (Kitskaboodle) 5. John and Mary (fierobear and Mrs. Bear) 6. Jeannie and Jerry (gldkarma) 7. Anyone coming from the L.A. area like Jess or Chet have an extra seat!? The woman and I are more than likely going to attend, but this time, I am thinking about riding the GSXR all the way up, and I know for a fact that the woman won't last that long on the back of a bike!
Plus, I figure this time, I'll even the standards a bit! The bike gets about 130 on a tank before my "Hey Stupid, You're Low On Gas" light starts blinking, telling me I'll be walking in about 50 miles. I figure that's a lot better than bringing the truck, filling up in L.A. at WCF, and driving all the way up there, and all the way back, plus down 10 miles to pick up Pokey's broke down ass, before filling up! ha ha! Love ya man!

Hey, Goober. I finally got an enclosed trailer. I might trailer down to San Simeon, in case anyone (not mentioning any names) breaks down (again).

Got about 6 registrations through the website so far. Thanks to those of you who have already signed up. I'm going to call the hotel today to see how we are doing on rooms. Working on the lunch up north and the catering in San Simeon. Got quite a few vendors pitching in for raffle items, hoping to hear from a few more that frequent this forum (hint hint! It's for charity!). All in all, it's coming together nicely. How many people are doing to be doing the last minute rush to get their car ready this year? I know we are, as usual!

That enclosed trailer is a great idea John..............every Fiero owner should own one of those. That should be a standard item when owning a Fiero.....LOL!!!
Methinks me going. If anything I'll just skedaddle on home at about 11pm saturday night, or crash at my friend [read: my sister's boyfriend] Alex's house in Cayucos. Doubt I'll actually *eat* at Bubba Gumps on Saturday. It's esssspensive for a college kid. Appetizer, entre and a soda at the one in SF was $30 including tip. So I'll eat at school and then meet y'all at Bubba's.
so. so far it's like this: I'll meet y'all at the top of yer run, mosey back on down the coast with ya... acting like a cute MINI and all, and hang out until the weeeee hours of the morning.
sounds good. Janell
ps. anyone know if Anthony is coming? I still owe him an avocado mask with cucumbers that go over the eyes... [inside thing]

Looks like Bubba Gump's is not gonna work again. I always think about it because I love the food there so much, but with parking and the food prices it would just not be feasible. We are looking at other options that should fit into that 'college girl' budget.
And there is still plenty of time for doubling up on rooms for anyone who might be coming alone. No sense in getting a room all by your lonesome unless you just really want the privacy. Still time, but don't wait till the last minute! We only have 25 rooms blocked and I know that over half of those are already gone.
I'm actually going into Monterey tomorrow on a *mandatory* field trip for one of my classes. I can check around for other restaurants, maybe grab some menus. But I don't want you to change your plans because of me. If you've already worked it out I can manage. I think it's all a part of that "growing up" thing I've been hearing about. But yeah, if you need a face for the people at the restaurant to associate the Fiero group with, I'm only about 15ish minutes from Monterey.

Well, no matter what, I'll cruise to Monterey/Carmel and have lunch with everyone again. My ability to attend the rest of the run is dependant entirely on my finding a new job to support such activities. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Best of luck, Scott! The Coast Run wouldn't be the same without you so I hope you can find something. And as I mentioned earlier, I am sure there is someone that is going alone that probably could split a room if that would help.
Looks like the restaurant for lunch may be Chicken Scratch Flats in Salinas. Looks like a good place with good prices. Rotisserie chicken, hamburgers, etc. Big parking deck next door so we can all park together. Not a whole lot farther than where we have gone in the past. Stimpy is going to go get a menu and send to me so I can get a better idea of menu items and prices.
Oh yeah, and everyone start stashing dollar bills away for the raffle! Some good prizes are coming in already.
