Cyan is the color that emanates from a calm sea, not far offshore, on a clear day, as the blue of the sky is reflected in salt water awash over yellow sand. You can see it for yourself in postcards mailed from coastal resorts like Mar-A-Lago.

As you scroll backwards through this online conversation, look for cyan as a unifying theme that connects one message to another, transporting meaning across inter-message boundaries and trans-messaging borders.

You may be surprised by how much has been recorded online about cyan.

It's also one of the "primary" colors for the Color Graphics Array/Adapter, also known as CGA.

And one of the first Color Graphics Adapter cards for the IBM/PC:

The lower the resolution, the larger the color pallet. But the industry came to a basic standard that they considered for 4-colors.

Option 1:
- Reg
- Yellow
- Green
- Black

Option 2:
- Cyan
- Magenta
- White
- Black

Anyone here in their 40s or older, who's ever played a game, will remember the old CGA games... such as Ace of Aces by Accolade:

or even "Test Drive":

Personally though... I'm far more nostalgic for games like Starflight in Hercules Monochrome (I prefer either Amber or Green):

I now return you to your normal political bickering, after this errant nerd-fest that absolutely no one will bother to read.

"Why Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Legal Strategy Has A Very 'Extortiony' Feel To It"

quote
The New York Times reports Donald Trump asked his team to strike a deal with the government to essentially trade White House documents stored at Mar-a-Lago for files on the FBI investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia in 2016. It’s a move MSNBC Contributor Joyce Vance says feels "very extortiony.” Joyce along with New York Times Congressional Reporter Luke Broadwater joined American Voices with Alicia Menendez to discuss the latest developments in the Mar-a-Lago investigation.

I was originally going to comment: "So What?", but I don't think anyone but rinselberg would have gotten it. It would have just sounded rude to anyone who wasn't a long time jazz fan.
"Kind of Blue" was the title of a pivotal Miles Davis album, the first track of which was "So What". That was the song that helped me to understand and appreciate modal jazz.

I still don't get the "yellow sand" in Florida, though.

Ah, "Kind of Blue". Good one. I actually had not made that connection with Miles Davis.

I just copied the opening sentence from that article in Cabinet Magazine (how many people can say that they keep up with Cabinet Magazine?) that had "yellow sand" and then I added "Mar-A-Lago" to it at the very end. So I wouldn't say that this Lyn Hejinian was talking specifically about Florida, or anywhere on Florida's coast.

I've not been making rounds of the world's beaches, not even by looking at photos online. I don't know about "yellow sand." Maybe this Lyn Hejinian was just "reaching".

Florida boys, tell us what color the beaches are.

"THE TIME IS NOW"

The Time Is Now (picking up on that other forum thread) for the U.S. Department of Justice to go to a federal court and file a criminal indictment of Donald J. Trump over the Mar-A-Lago documents case. If not literally "now", then shortly after the midterm elections on November 8. This is the thinking of this trio of talking heads on MSNBC TV, which starts at the beginning of this YouTube video and takes up the first 18 minutes.
https://youtu.be/V9oDR6Axivs

That YouTube video may be removed, but this one, from the MSNBC YouTube channel, is not going to be removed. It's the first 8 minutes.

That strikes me as a rhetorical question. Another way of saying that "I" ("olejoedad") do not care about or have any interest in MSNBC and what it says or reports.

But what if it were not a rhetorical question?

Just three months ago, during July, the MSNBC television network was patronized on a daily basis by an average of 1.3 million viewers during the primetime hours of 8 to 11pm.

That is just about 26% of the number of illegal aliens that have crossed the border since Ol' Joe ascended to the throne. Why is 1,300,000 a lot of people and 5,000,000 people insignificant? No, this is not a rhetorical question and yes, it is relevant.

"Fact check: National Archives debunks Trump’s false claim about [George H. W.] Bush documents"
Daniel Dale for CNN; October 11, 2022.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/10...e-clinton/index.html

Just published today.

A brief report that debunks the nonsense that Trump has been spewing about previous Presidents and how their presidential records and documents were handled after they left office. George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

FUCHSIA gets the nod instead of CYAN, if only for a change.

How much money has been sent to the Ukraine by this administration?

So much blame on someone that was only in office for 4 years and spent most of that time tied up defending himself for every move.
Look at the people that have been in one office or another for the past 40 years, have they made your life better?

So then, you see, the criminal acts are Russian Collusion, treasonous acts to be prosecuted after the nuke war, in the ashes of the Nation.
Fortunately, there is a remedy within the Constitution, to deter their ilk of the future.

According to CNN sources, the former President is weighing the idea of extending an olive branch to the Department of Justice in the matter of the presidential records and classified documents or documents with Classification markings.

On the table, reportedly, is Trump voluntarily allowing the FBI to conduct another search of his Mar-A-Lago residence to allow the DOJ to conclude that he is not withholding any more records or documents that are supposed to be in the custody of the National Archives and Records Administration.

That's hilarious.

Things that you can trust more than "CNN sources":

2. Breast milk from Bruce Jenner

3. That the stripper's name is actually "Lexus"

4. Email from a Nigerian prince who needs your help.

5. Internet ads from women that want to have sex with YOU tonight.

6. Condoms from the Dollar Store

7. A Star Wars Imperial Storm Trooper's aim.

8. An evening "news" broadcast from North Korea

9. Facebook's privacy settings

10. A used mattress offered for FREE on Craigslist

11. Anthony, "Carlos Danger", Weiner with a free internet data plan

12. The Boy that cried Wolf

13. Flint tap water

14. The government when it says a tax will be temporary

15. A panhandler wearing a Rolex

The center of any criminal case would most likely be the classified documents found by the FBI, some of which contained extremely sensitive government secrets, including about a foreign country’s nuclear capabilities. On Friday, The Post reported that some of the seized documents contained highly restricted information about Iran’s missile systems and about intelligence work aimed at China.

But Jim Walden, a former federal prosecutor, said the 13,000 unclassified documents also could be critical to prosecutors, because they could shed light on why and how the classified material was brought to Mar-a-Lago and who saw them once they left the White House.

The Justice Department “wouldn’t be pushing as hard” to appeal the appointment of a special master “if there weren’t some serious national security questions that remain unanswered,” Walden said. “Those [13,000] documents are very critical.”

"Trump Mar-a-Lago probe proceeds on two tracks: One public, one private"

Perry Stein and Devlin Barrett for the Washington Post; October 22, 2022.

James "Jim" Walden was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York from 1993 to 2002, before becoming a prominent white collar case trial lawyer in the private sector. His work is depicted on screen in the Oscar-winning documentary “Icarus,” Aaron Sorkin’s “Molly’s Game,” the National Geographic documentary series “Inside the American Mob,” and the Vanity Fair documentary “The Disco Inferno.”

When a Republican FBI, CIA, ATF, AND the rest of the alphabets take over, credibility and respect will be restored. The 1930's and 40's style German governance isn't working in America.

"You are a security risk!"

Paul Grist played the role of the gravel-voiced American CIA agent "Bill Filer" in the "Claws of Axos" episode of the "Dr Who" British television franchise. One of the fictional Bill Filer's more memorable utterances:

quote
YOU ARE A SECURITY RISK!

Was that a premonition written into the script, foretelling the rise of Donald J. Trump to the American presidency decades later, and the events that have been playing out in relation to the Mar-A-Lago "documents" case?

The Valiant Knight,
De Je' Trump, dons his armor to again joust with the dark and deranged zombies in the lists.
' You have defiled the Constitution, Biden_Joe, prepare to be defeated, zombie diddler. '
...
The crowd watched as the Golden Haired Champion stirred his charger, rearing and prancing toward the danger.
' They're not after me, they're after you, I'm just in the way ! '
