I agree, if he didn't have Pennock's to post on my friend Archie would probably lose lots of money making his latest obsession. I hope the new rating indicators show him how the members feel about his rants on other people's cars and choices. If he would just stick to posting about his car he would be easy to ignore.

Actually if you girls would quit bickering like children in a school yard, curley could put the time into put into getting his last 2 cars done. Then maybe, just maybe, both of you would figure out how to refrain from insulting each other & trying to get under each others' skin.
I like both of you guys a lot, & I know you have some history, but until you both learn to behave like adults, kindly, keep my name out of it.

Why does it matter? It's his own fault. There's no need to blame anyone else for the actions he took. Just because his ratings bar has lots of green on it, doesn't give him any more of a right to be an ass to people, because he knows it will be harder for him to be banned. And that last post just continues to show how much of a drama queen he was being. If he can't grow the hell up and be rational about disagreeing with what other people do to their cars, or that not everyone fawns all over his, then he needs a time out. Let him go sit in the corner for a while.

you all are breeding dislike for eachother by arguing... i didnt want this thread to get hijacked BY ANYONE... I wanted to stay out of it, but I guess not, I'm not taking sides and as far as this goes everyone arguing with madcurl is just as "immature" as he is... and vice versa... If no one reacts to whomever is trying to start stuff, he/she will either go away, or stop. It is a measure of patience... The thread was supposed to make fun of a rebuilt stock 2.8 making 270hp... nothing else.
And I'm so glad I dont have enough ratings to even have my bar be currently viewable... It means I've been keeping to my responsibilities here and not doing nearly enough on here for anyone to give a damn.
Im not mad at anyone here, just annoyed...
If someone wants to start a trash talking thread, we can all make fun of eachother in there or about me having an "epic" 140hp duke, or whatever the heck else anyone wants to make fun of... This thread has no real topic. It was LOL lambo kit with "270hp" out of built 2.8/3.4 and your first post was a link to the craigslist ad. Nothing more. You provided no additional context or anything warranting the guiding of any certain discussion. What you provided was a thread that was already off topic. As for the engine, I don't see that anyone asked the seller anything, in this thread. Your entire purpose for creating the thread, was to mock that one statement. Did you really expect to have more than people moaning about something else in the ad, or do anything other than make fun of the car or the ad? Presuming it is a "built" 2.8/3.1/3.4, perhaps it was built with the intention of adding a turbo later (hence the "turbo ready" in the ad), and the 270 hp was an estimate given by the builder for what it could do with the turbo. And that isn't an unreasonable estimate.
Sure, it's not the best worded ad, and everything may not be 100% accurate. But this forum isn't exactly the best place to argue about such things, given how many people on here misspell, use horrible grammar, and just plain BS. Added on top of the fact that most people are just very poor communicators, especially when they're impatient, doesn't make a great combination.
Unfortunately, some people have lost sight of what this forum, and Fiero clubs are about. At least that Lambo kit is a clean and drivable Fiero, unlike a large number of other Fieros in the world, and at least it's not a 2 ft cube or melted down and turned into fence posts. Regardless of the claims, or what peoples' personal opinions are on the body or color, or other decoration, it's still a living, breathing Fiero. If we crushed all the Fieros that one person or another doesn't like something about due to their own personal tastes, there wouldn't be any left.

observe I tried to let this thread slide away and not post, only to be contacted my various members because of the "hijacking" of my thread by madcurl, and that I should step in. I tried to bring this thread back to the point. and no stock rebuilt 2.8 gonna make 270 naturally aspirated. and the seller of that kit did a horrible job making sense of what he was saying. yes its a nice kit, yes its a fiero, no madcurl it isnt an abomination, its just not perfect... other than the poor sales pitch on the horsepower I see no big deal about it.
