The light between the visors shines down on the unlighted power window switches on the console. Did Jerry find a way to turn it off? Some people who don't like it are putting tape over it or pulling the power wire off. It doesn't bother me. My Corvette had one too. All it does is light the console.
I'll be darned! Okay! It seems like if it was that efficient we would have been able to tell tho. I'll have to scope that out if we get one again! And I'll pass the info along! Inquiring minds want to know!
See you and everyone soon!

It is very subtle. They don't want it to interfere in driving. It took me forever to figure out where the light was coming from in my Corvette. It was up under the lip of the dashboard instead of stuck on the roof.

Just went down the 1 today. All the way from Monterey to San Luis Obispo.
Sadly, there's some serious roadwork going on, so it wasn't that great. and apparently not all MINI owners take advantage of what their cars are capable of.
:P but it was cool.
Here's to hoping the 1 will be pretty when we do it in Oct!

Yeah yeah yeah! Dude all I been doing is working!! If it isn't one thing it's another. Inside of the last thirty days I have done an entire bathroom rebuild the sixe of most bedrooms with Spa tub,Shower,Sauna, tile walls and floor that never seemed to end started and completed the first half of anoth bathroom also blew the motor one of my GTs then decided it was easier to replace the engine in the coupe than change the timimg gear but while I was in there replaced or fixed everything else also then with more of my spare time I had to rebuild the deisel injector system on my old truck I gave to my brother because he killed the pump with gas also rebuilding the monster starter motor because he killed that too trying to start the damn thing but let us not forget to mention the septic tank I rebuilt for my father on a weekend because the damned county won't let you use anything but a concrete tank these days and that cost 5 times more. This is what I have done with my spare time. The rest of the time I am finishing that damn house working 8 to 10 hours there then a minimum of 3 hours traffic every morning and night assuming the roads are not blocked by dead people or rubber neckers looking to get a glimpse of dead people. Now damn it I am supposed to be retired!!!
BTW since I'm done ranting and tired of typing I will actually answer your question.I am going to stuff that facia in the car Sat morn when I head to Hollister to take a couple of days off to put that motor you brought down in a GT.
Thanks I feel better now. Off to bed gotta be up before the sun in the morning my weekend starts now.

Ah, so THAT'S why you're coming down here on Saturday? You're gonna owe me, big time. Next project should be diagnosing the 3.4, or re-engining the yellow Formula.

Well, damm! A fly in the ointment for us--a wedding we need to go to has been moved from Nov. 4 to Oct. 28. It's going to be out in the valley somewhere I think, so that's the opposite direction and it will take the whole day! I'll find out more about it this afternoon since we were just called at 9:30 this morning about cake and ice cream for the 85-yr-old mother at 1:30 today! This is my adopted family down here in Cali (besides my Fiero family of course!) and not very big, so they miss us if we can't make it, but one of them is not very organized and does everything by the seat of her pants! (That's my friend and your neighbor, Pokey!!) I'll get back to you when I know more, but it doesn't look very good for us right now.

Hey, just explain to her that chances are they will just divorce anyway so why get married? Then have them come on the Coast run with you.

As usual, Pokey, you have the most probable answer, but not a solution I could get away with this time! The bride-to-be doesn't even drive! But she's a good mom and the marriage may work in this case, so you can't always have everything I guess. Therefore we are indeed expected to be at the east end of Peltier and Elliott Rds. in Acampo (near Clements, CA) at 1:00p on Saturday, Oct. 28.

I'll call Manesh tonight to cancel our Sat. night reso, so please you'all, call up and make yours and help fill in our group block of rooms! I'll send some raffle prizes and money for some tickets along with Mary or Deb.
Waaaaaaah!! See you all next year!

you guys are killing me. Northern cali is where i'm at, chico ca. The camel is barely central. We need a run up here. They have one runs for other cars all the time at fort brag. Please, please, please set one up closer to northern cali than 200+ miles away. You have to remember we own fieros. As awsome as they are we all won't be able to work our cars that hard. My poor buddy likes to go for long rides a few times in a row, and I don't want to push it. Is there anything in the books for us Northern californians. I know we usually don't get recognized up here
mraby--Welcome! Have you visited our Golden Gate Fieros website (http://.goldengatefieros.org/) and read and joined our Yahoo! group site (http://.autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/GoldenGateFieros/)? You're correct that we don't go north too often, but we'd love to meet up with you somewhere! Several years ago we took a drive to Quincy that was nice and there has been some talk of a north coast drive to Ft. Bragg, but we just need some more encouragement and organized information to get it together and schedule it I think. Maybe you could help us with some ideas.

Sorry Jeannie.. That story don't wash with me! Clements is only 4.5 hours from San Simeon... You can go to your wedding and still make the dinner and raffle Saturday night. Dinner is 7:30 and might be a little tight but you can make the raffle I know and then do the drive North with people on Sunday!
mraby... I was just in Chico! Thunderhill racing/driving school thing. was really fun.
you can always just hook up with us at the northern point... in Monterey. It's what I do! Drive back, do the raffle and dinner, and go back the next day.
It's great! Hope you'll rethink coming. Janell

We don't have anything planned for the north this year. In the past we have run the Feather River Canyon and stayed over night in Quincy. Then the next day did hwy. 49 through the gold country. We also do a run through the wine country once a year. Check Golden Gate Fieros website for events.
