I know it is early but this is advance notice for everyone to start planning. I met with all the club Presidents and asked the opinion of lots of other people who were in attendance at WestFest today and we've decided that the official dates for the next Coast Run are October 27-29.
The start of the Run will be the Courtesy Inn of San Simeon as usual and the northern destination will be announced at a later time. Rooms are already blocked and we will have our usual $59/night rate. I made my reservations today!
The hotel toll-free number is 1-800-555-5773, The hotel website is http://www.courtesyinns.com/ You can either tell them you are with the FIERO group to get the rate, or ask for Manesh to be sure.
Rie and I are heading over on Wednesday to spend a few days and do a little scouting. We hope to make this the biggest and best Coast Run yet!

I'll be there! And this time in a Fiero not a Honda.
I know the feeling, Roy! The Miata didn't quite fill the bill last time. I don't know what I will be in but it will at least be partially Fiero this time.
Apparently I need to update the T-shirts and stuff too, huh? Yours is the first Coast Run shirt that has been ordered since the Run! I actualyl had forgotten about them and just left them on there...
Actually, Fiero-Performance.com is about to be revamped towards selling Aldino cars but the Coast Run will still be prevelent there.
I am thrilled to see people taking such an early interest in the Run! I'm looking forward to getting over there to the coast tomorrow and trying out some of the new food the area offers.

I'm going to plan on it tentatively, but I have to take a big 8 HR test sometime in October, so until I find out exactly when that is, I can't say for sure.
I'm gonna go check a website and see if they have the dates up yet.

Can we do a Holloween Costume contest also on your Coast Run? It is right near Holloween!!! It probably would be too hard just to dress up our Fieros in costume but we can outfit ourselves!!! Or we could all dress up in Ugly Shirts and give a prize for the ugliest Shirt! Everyone has one of those shirts that Aunt Agnes sent you that is hanging in the back of your closet, well you could finally wear it and make it worth something!! Whaddya think? Scary huh?
Looking forward to the Run!!

I would like to join in next year with my 355 Ferrari rebodied 86 N* powered if you allow rebodys. I want to put a license plate cover on it that says "My other car is a Fiero too!"

Yes, I think a Halloween theme is definitely the order of the day. Costumes would be cool. I am working on incorporating a Halloween theme into the logo and T-shirts. As far as ugly shirts, I think Pokey wins that every year! haha
Our days in San Simeon have been a success. I made arrangements with a guy last night to handle the dinner on Saturday night. He is going to bring out a big BBQ and cook on site. The menu will be Santa Maria TriTip, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, beans, potato salad, green salad, and dessert. For those that do not eat meat, a vegetarian plate will be available. Soft drinks are included and anything stronger you will have to bring yourself. The price is $18 per person. Kids under 10 half price. This is a much better place and food than last year and for a lot less money. He guarantees me that there will be plenty of food for everyone!
