MB Crux wheels 17x7 in Gunmetal (actually matches the gray on the bottom of the car very close) 225/45/17 front and 235/45/17 rears Stock suspension Painted the calipers red since they are now very visible. Used duplicolor brush on ceramic caliper paint. 4 light coats seemed to be perfect
Front 18x8 35mm offset rear 18x9.5 with a 45mm offset,
They look good, but I'm not wild about them, they'll probably get swapped within the next year.

MB Wheels, model 'SevenX", 17 x 7, 42mm offset, with 205 45 17 Sumitumos. Added aluminum hubcentric rings. This model wheel is discontinued, only reason I have them is the PO had stored them when he traded in his Kia 3 years ago, and just got around to putting them on CL last week. The closest current model is the MB Weapons, currently avail thru Tire warehouse. I want meatier tires on them, but that can wait - these tires only have 3000 miles on them. Such a deal at $275.00!
Recognize these?

Well after a week of searching the dead internet I would like to ask a question about wheels sizes for am 84-87 Fiero.
I'm in the market for new wheels. Currently I am running 4x 17x7 35mm offset wheels all round. My goal is to have 17x7 up front and 18x8.5 rear.
The rears are no issue as I am confident 40mm offset (can't run a (35mm+19mm) 54mm offset) will work fine on my 85 GT I am more concerned about the fronts.
Through my search I have seen several people posting that their 48mm offset front wheels work fine. However every single person I've seen mention this has an 88 which apparently has greater clearance up front. I've seen the wheel chart and the red line and am confused how to know if it may contact the lower control arm or not. With the 17x7 35mm right now there is plenty of clearance.
I realize the stock rim is 14x6 so with one extra inch the offset would need to be increased by 13mm (half of an inch). As the 17x7 wheels seem to fit great I would like to bring the wheels closer to where they should be. 35+13 = 48mm.
Has anyone put 17x7 48mm offset wheels on the front of their 84-87 Fiero and were they any issues?

Thank you. Matthew
I have 16x7 +48mm offset wheels on the front of my 1985 Fiero, and everything is fine.
With the car on jackstands, the wheels at full droop, and the steering wheel turned, the one of the brake hoses rubbed slightly. I bent the brake hose to upper A-arm bracket slightly to avoid this rubbing.
Also note that I have LeBaron brake rotors which space out the wheels some.
People mostly talk about high-offset front wheels on 1988 Fieros, but 84-87 Fieros have a high scrub radius, so high-offset front wheels help to reduce scrub radius and hence steering kickback over bumps.
The chart doesn’t say anything about control arm clearance on the front of a Fiero. Control arm clearance is a little bit too much "3D" to be representable on a chart like that.

Appreciate the feedback! I also have aftermarket brakes and the .312" thickness will help. I also want to reduce the scrub radius and glad to hear someone else running 48s.
