Started this thread a long time ago...and finally settled on some a few months ago...but hadn't posted pics yet. Here they are. These are 18" wheels I bought on eBay for $450 shipped, brand new. They'll really look great once the paint is done!

My latest rim purchase for my 87GT.

17x7 Fronts 42mm Offset
18x8 Rears 25mm Offset

I assume they'll poke out a little bit in the rear. I don't really mind at all... .

I'll be sure to take pictures of these... and perhaps the 'others' when everything comes in.

Sorry, I did not see your question earlier. The rear wheels are 20 X 12 and the front are 19 X 9. I will have to look up the offset and backspacing info when I get a chance.
I am glad you like the car!

Those are nice Madcurl...... So when are you going to get them?

------------------------------ THINGS THAT PONDER YOU ----------------------------

1. I know your money is burning a hole in your pocket.
2. Late nights unable to sleep because your thinking of this rim.
3. Where to get 1000 or so for each
4. You know they will look good and fit perfect.
5. You "think" you might be car king again with this mod.
6. If you are married, this might be the end

Just playin...... YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT THOUGH

COME TO THINK OF IT THEY LOOK LIKE MINE?

The Iforged rim is aircraft aluminum (same as any other high end wheel company) but the center pieace is dipped or coated in the material you're now viewing. Look to see a company redipping center aluminum pieces; just like in the pic. There's another way to skin a cat, right?

I'm sure any 3 piece wheel can be disassembled, dipped, sprayed, powder-coat, or anodized and then assembled.

They look like carbon fiber though. With a pattern. How do they do that?

For now, I'm guessing they don't want to reveil they're secrets, but underneath it is 6061-T6 aluminum.

Thats how it is on the 87s. Its already lowered it just isn't settled in that pic. I took that pic right after I got it back on the ground. Once my 3800sc swap is done it will be getting paint and some new glass and tinting.

Yeah I knew that earlier years were like that, but I saw 88 calipers. I guess you somehow found a way to adapt them.

Ordered them today with my Bushbucks, pix next week sometime. There is a repaint to gunmetal in my future, these are toward that end.

What kind/size of wheels are on the Indy in your sig? I like them. Got a larger pic? Are you replacing them?
