An old Penn-Jersey club used to be around. They put out a real nice magazine. The active members seemed to have gotten out of Fieros. The last I knew Kieth still had his orange pumpkin and he was at MacGuire AFB.

Actually MAFOA covers NJ. We host many events throughout the year including Fieros at Carlisle. We requested the planning of some events in Jersey or close to Jersey and have had some offers but no official plans. Perhaps you can contact Club President Robb Leppo at amflyer (on PFF) or amflyer@att.net to set something up. MAFOA puts out 4 newsletters per year, has a website & forum (in the process of being updating) and has a long standing reputation as a great Fiero club.

Hey Bobbo! I dropped it in the mail earlier this week. Things were crazy over the holidays. Things are going well - Dad is busy with teaching and his new business. Hope to see you soon.
I am in Bergen County and would love a Jersey Club. I miss going to monthly meetings and have had to consider becoming an alcoholic so I can go to AA meetings.
Ok that was a joke.
But seriously I am all for this, and can drive to anywhere in NJ for meetings/events.

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul"

OldLar....I know all about the Fieropride site. I tried to join thru there, but it didn't go through my computer. So I'm resorting to good 'ol pencil and paper. Never let me down yet. Thanks anyway.
Jen(bo) Thanks, you're a doll .

FieroFinatic....OOPS, sorry man. Even though you're down in Delaware, You're more than welcome. Don't know how far you'd want to drive to meet up. I'm probably 2 hours north from you at 70 m.p.h.
This is how new clubs are born I guess. If I were you NJ and DE folks, I would be excited as heck to have a local club. There's no reason why you also couldn't particpate in MAFOA events and meetings. Some lone wolf tried to start a club in Jersey a few years ago, but it never got any traction. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/centraljers...
We here in the Southwest (Denver) don't have a larger sanctioning body to draw from. We're pretty much on our own, although we are becoming a rather sizeable club as of late.
Be sure to post a website if/when that is developed. I try to keep an accurate list of all active clubs in the U.S. and Canada.

908-647-4317 we're in Stirling, a tiny town, about 4 square miles or less, which most people never heard of. Towns surrounding us are Basking Ridge, Gillette, Berkeley Heights, just to give you a general idea.
We would like to attend MAFOA and probably will but being 3 hours away it would also be nice to have a group more local also.

The best idea might be to arrange a NJ chapter of MAFOA. They are already up and running , have a newsletter and could use the members. I'll be rejoining this week after a years absence (don't ask why) and have always found the group to be composed of good and decent people. Way back when I was a mamber of the local Tri-State Fiero club were often got together for dinners at a BBQ place and then gathered at the presidents home afterward for tech discussion and general chat. TSFC went down the tubes long ago but we did have some fun times. If we organize a local group we could always meet at the various cruise nights, in diner parkeing lots and perhaps all get together for dinner once in a while at a place in NJ. We live in Hillsborough but have a summer home in Cape May so we can meet almost anywhere. Of course there is also York and that is the showe in the Mid-Atlantic but thats only once a year.

Hey Dennis, here's a thought....I wonder if the Neshanic Station could handle a car show The Nesh Sta. fire company has that field they rent out(apparently-seems like medieval times shows up there every summer!). If we held a show on a Sunday, the flea market would be open(something else to do) and food and drink would be available. Hmmm....

considering all the towns mentioned here with Bergen County being the furthest North and Wrightstown being the furthest south, maybe New Brunswick or Somerset might be a good place sort of in the middle for all of us to meet? Maybe we could pick a sunday afternoon and meet at a diner there? what do you think?

Somerset sounds good to me - I live on the southern border (Somerset County, not the town of Somerset), right next to Middlesex and Mercer counties. There are a number of diners/restuarants along Route 206 between Belle Meade and Somerset Township.
Also, please consider Saturday afternoon.

I spoke to Bob this evening and we thought about meeting next weekend some time at the Seville Diner on 18 in East Brunswick. Keep and eye out here (probably toward the end of the week) for a definite day and time. Ed

looks like it's getting cold. Maybe we should wait until spring. Otherwise, we'd all be standing around our cars shivering and trying to find out who's engine puts off the most heat. Dave

No no no nooooooo. Waiting is bad. A good idea is to go somewhere to eat/socialize where we can still be warm, then afterwards go out and look at each others cars etc... besides it 45 out, you don't consider that cold do ya?

when I lived in Florida, I didn't wear shorts until it was over 100. I don't function very well below 50 degrees. Besides, my car won't be ready until March or April. Dave ps thanks for the radio trim. I'll be posting pics of my custom suede console this week.

GECKO - I'm with you. There hasn't been anything goin' Fiero-wise around here for long time. So I'm very eager to get together. Lets meet up next week. FIERO815 - Yes, the Seville Diner on Rt. 18, East Brunswick, would be a good place to gather. Its a nice, clean diner mid-way between most of you. PORKCHOP85 - Come on man, I'm sure you could handle the cold for a while. Most of the time we should be in the diner anyway. ( even though I know we'll be outside checkin' out each others cars) If you get cold, just get a hot tea or something. I want you there. .......as a matter of fact, I want a minimum of 5 Fieros there.Surely we can get 5 Fieros there, can't we? PORKCHOP85 - this means we'll want (need) you there too. Can you make it? FIERO815 - Hay man, you started this tread anyway : ) See what you did, you got me all fired up. So lets make this a challange and see to it 5 Fieros meet at the Seville diner next weekend. Any one else in the area...lets flex some Fiero musle here...anyone who can make it....FIEROS AT SEVILLE, next week ! I'm more than sure it will be worth your while. Bob ( FIEROFRENZY)

fierofrenzy- It was good to talk to you. I too am excited about this.
Seville Diner is fine with me.
Hey BMW Guru has a wife to keep him warm...so that excuse is no longer acceptable lol. Now you have more then one car correct? Ok so that gets rid of that excuse. You should come along even if you show up fiero-less wearing a big heavy coat.

What do you think of Saturday @ noon or 1pm? Maybe that would work for NEWGT since he seems to prefer Sat. PM. I don't know how anyone living in NJ can complain about this winter. I've been lying on my concrete garage floor all week and it's not bothering me ....much. Ed

The Seville is about 30-40 minutes from my home. Next Saturday afternoon is OK with me, but only if the weathers OK and no salt on the roads. My Fiero is not a daily driver, it's a three year + restoration project that stays in my garage when not being driven. But don't let that stop the rest of you from getting together if the weather is not an issue for you, I can always try for another date.
By the way does anyone know whether the Seville is on the side of route 18 headed toward or away from Route 1? Its been a long time since I've been in East Brunswick.

My mapping program shows it on the southbound side of 18, just a few blocks before reaching Main Street.
