According to the 10 day forecast next Saturday is supposed to be sunny and clear, hope it stays that way.

Also anyone is welcome to join us, living in NJ is not a requirement.

You can bring your Valentine too. Fiero815 is bringing his Valentine.

I'm not sure if I can make this one. If I do it will definitely be without my Fiero, too much salt on the road since the last snowfall.

Unless we have a major storm that isn't good to drive in, let's try and get together. Even if we have to come in non-fiero cars.
It would be fun for everyone to meet, we could pick a name for the club, and get things rolling for when springtime comes which is right around the corner.

Sometimes they build up the storm and then nothing happens. I'm optimistic.

They do that building up the storm thing in Jersey quite a lot.

I still have chains from when I drove thru Donners Pass with my fiero in a huge snow storm on one of my cross country trips. I always have a lot of faith in my car. (not so much in myself but definitely in my car) lol.

Okay so we have snow and ice and fierce wind. By saturday it will be a memory.

Saturday's forecast predicts cold and clear. Soooo looking forward to our meeting on saturday.

We need to decide on a name for the club. I've kept a list of the names suggested so far. Is the following a good idea?

I can post the list, those of you who cannot make it on saturday can post their favorite name. those of us who do meet on Saturday will write our favorite name at the meeting.

we can take the absentee ballots and combine them with the ballots of those who are present. We can see the majority vote and that will be the name.

Of course we will post the results here for those who cannot attend.

whaddaya think about this?

Okay folks if this is okay with everyone let's pick a name for the club tommorrow at lunch and get the ball rolling. So far I have kept a list of all the names everyone has suggested. It's quite a list, so maybe we can choose a name from this list. For those of you who cannot attend tommorrow, vote today, and we'll include your vote tommorrow. Deadline for any new suggestions for a name is 9 P.M. tonight. I will add any new suggestions to the list. I will check for votes before we meet for lunch tommorrow so try to get your vote in by tommorrow morning before 12 noon if you cannot attend. Lunch is set for 1 P.M. they are reserving room for us from 12:30 on. www.TheStirllingHotel.com gives directions and phone number.

Is this okay with everyone?

Here is the current list:

Redline Fiero Club
G- Force
Cutting Edge
Open Road
5 Alarm
Fast Lane
The Rattlers
Plastic Fantastic
Jersey’s Open Road Fiero Org (JORFO)
Born Again
Easy Pass
True North
Parkway Fiero Club
Garden State Fieros
Liberty Fiero Club
New Horizons
American Mid- Engine Fiero Club of NJ .
Third State Fiero Club
Altered States Fiero Club.
Immagine Feroce Fieros of NJ(meaning fierce image)
Automobile Fiera Fieros of NJ(Proud Automobile).
Reprise Fieros of NJ
Born to Run Fiero Club
Pegasus

Saturday's weather says 33 degrees, no snow until late at night maybe.

I'm not sure this list is accurate but here's who's coming :

Fiero815
Winkie
WagginTails
Fierofrenzy
DandRauto ?
Gecko
Finally_Mine_86_GT ?
Joe Torma & girlfriend
Dennis LaGrua ?
New gt ?

Please correct if needed.

If your fiero can't make it come with another car, or bus, or plane, bike, roller blades, whatever gets you there.

Ok, I planned on coming but now have to work to make up for the lost day this week (Storm). Sorry

My vote is: Liberty Fiero Club

others would be:
Parkway Fiero Club
Garden State Fieros

You may want to make a short list first of two or three, otherwise one name might win with just 2 votes if evryone votes for their own suggestion.

Have fun. Some where down the road i would be willing to help out for club work. Sorry I didn't make the first or second meetings.

For those that are coming, the parking is around behind the hotel. Take the road next to the RR tracks to get to the parking.

I finally got to read this post and sorry to say I will be at the Meadowlands Home Show all day on Saturday and won't be able to attend. I was a member of the TSFC before it folded about 7 years ago. That club had about 300 members and produced an outstanding club magazine. Hank the VP owned a printing company and the club magazine was a publication that brought in members from all over the area and some far from this area. The club would all get together for dinner at a local BBQ restaurant in No NJ every few months and then go to pres Joe Wymans house nearby to talk Fieros, shoot the breeze and see his projects
TSFC folded because the VP with the printing company lost interest and the magazine disappeared. Joe eventually retired to raise a family as hasn't been seen since.. The club disbanded because it relied on too few to do too much and when the key few left there was no more club. The Sourthern NJ boys had a club named PennJersey and they too folded. Lastly there was Jersey Shore Fieros that really never got off the ground.
IMO, the only way a NJ Fiero club can survive is if you keep it informal and don't rely on too few to assume all the workload. Officers and a board are great but a floating list of volunteers who could host this and that every once in a while might be best way to get a Fiero club started and to maintain it. We have 1000's of Fiero owners here in the Garden State; we should be able to attract at least 100 participants.

I am a bit tired, didn't sleep much again last night.

Just wanted to let everyone know the ride home was fine.

I am going to post later about the problem I had. It seems to be ok now, but I am still curious why it happened in the first place.

It was nice meeting everyone this afternoon.

We took a vote for a club name and also included those of you who submitted your votes here.

sooooooooo, the new name is ........................... drum roll................

It was unanimous for Immagine Feroce Fieros of NJ

Just kidding !

It was very close, Garden State Fireos was selected. Liberty ran close behind and Parkway fieros came in 3rd place.

Didn't get on in time to vote but Garden State Fieros is as good a name as any. The name won't determine the success but rather the folks in it will.
I like the idea of meeting for lunches every now and then and perhaps some members having a home with a bit of property can entertain a tech session.
Not to far from here in Somerville NJ there is a huge cruise night every Friday evening from Memorial Day through labor day. Sometimes 300-400 cars show up at this event held on main street in Somerville. We could show up at one of the public parking lots and have our own mini meet for central Jersey folks and move the meetings around the state for Fiero folks in different regions. We could also ask for a Fiero section and show up on Pontiac Day at Englishtowns Raceway Park. Lots of possibilites exist.

Great ideas Dennis. The next meeting is slated for your neck of the woods. Joe Torma is organizing it. Go to the website posted above to check out the goings on from today's meeting. Send Ryan an email to get set up for posting to the message board. Didn't know Somerville had cruise nights. That could be fun. Ed

ED..."Mr. President, sir.... Great meeting, even though small turnout. I'm sure they'll get larger as things get nicer outside. Your suggestion of each member taking charge as the meeting place changes to their area is a good idea.
WINKIE ( Winkie? : ) - ) The site didn't work through my messed up computer, but keep workin' on it... thank you.
WAGGINTAILS - Very funny - but don't let to much of our crazyness rub off on you. We need somebody with some marbles here when concerns arise. I got a real nice picture of your family, send me your address and I'll mail it to you. Can't find my Carlicle letter, so I can't give you a date at this time...sorry, I'll try to find it.
DENNIS - I brought up this same "Pontiac Weekend" idea at our meeting. If we're all for this, I live minutes away from the track and can make all the calls and arangements.
BMWGURU - Do I see louvers on the GT in the backround? If so, can I trouble you to please post a close-up picture on this post? Thanks in advance.
THE REST OF YOU GUYS.....Make it a point to make next months meeting if at all possible.
