FM86gt - Hi Dave - I'm just glad to hear you can get it fixed cheep. Most Fiero people are more than willing to go the extra mile for others.
OK you guys... the club name I thought rang a bell is " New Horizons" ....But after seeing "Liberity Fiero" I must say this, in my opinion, is an excellent choise. Its combines the area we live in and the freedoms we have in a proud way. Somethin' about that word I guess....so I go with "Liberity Fiero Club". Thanks FINALLYMINE So as suggested by waggintails, take all the names and we all vote on it. Hay waggintails...your gonna love this one....wanna be the club secratery ? you can handle things like the above, and any other so called paperwork. Is there paperwork in car clubs?I don't know.Whatever. Ed....beware...I'll be callin you on this "club" stuff . : )

yeah there is paperwork... depends on how far you go as to how much... membership apps, fees, newsletters, events, some go as far as discounts in certain places. that's all about petitioning, etc, etc... it can get crazy. i used to belong to a f-body club years ago and took care of all the paperwork and organization of members. long story but to make it shorter, it wasn't all bad and we had cool prizes during meets. who knows... if i come down there and get a job where you work i might just have to start you off... lol

Redline Fiero Club G- Force Cutting Edge Open Road 5 Alarm Fast Lane The Rattilers Plastic Fantastic Jersey’s Open Road Fiero Org (JORFO) Born Again Easy Pass True North Garden State Fieros Liberty Fiero Club New Horizons
I vote for Redline, or True North. I’m just not big on state related names. Post your vote, I’ll keep a record and post the results.
As for secretary and other positions, let’s meet again and make a plan in February. We can all participate in some way and make this club happen.
Ed is a bit under the weather right now so he’ll probably be back in a couple days.

I don't know guys, 'Liberty' doesn't do much for me...maybe if we were an International Airport or a club from Philadelphia, but we're driving the only American made mid-engine car ever built...AMERICAN MID-ENGINE FIERO CLUB of NJ . We're in the 3rd State to ratify the constitution so we could be THIRD STATE FIERO CLUB,nj or for that matter why not ALTERED STATE FIERO CLUB of NJ. Fiero means "proud" or 'fierce' in Italian so if we wanted to stay with the continental spirit that got the car built in the first place we could try IMMAGINE FEROCE FIEROS OF NJ (meaning fierce image) or maybe AUTOMOBILE FIERA FIEROS OF NJ(Proud Automobile). Since all of our cars are on thier second or third times around we could use REPRISE FIEROS OF NJ as in a passage of music that is repeated.
I also try to think about logo's, emblems for letterhead or jackets that would be special. We could go with Lady Liberty or...for American Mid-Engine we could have a top down look at a Fiero with an oversized engine with all chrome and headers and the Fiero intake. Third State could use a silhouette of the state (boring). Altered State might use a Fiero going into warp like on Star Trek. The Italian names should have stately Fiero emblems and Reprise might be 3 Fieros overlayed on each other each with a different representative body style. Personally, I like American Mid-Engine or Altered State. What can I say, I was at Woodstock!

i live near woodstock no problem with people who were there... i think they were trying to stay away from the "NJ" part but you do have some good ideas. Proud Pegasus Fiero Club is another one. maybe with something like this... with the NJ state outline as a tatoo on the wing. not coming out too great with the blue background... i'll fix that later too. (i'll revise it later when i have time to photochop what i have in mind)

Wow, I just caught up on this thread. There are some really excellent names being suggested here, but I'd like to throw in just one more if I may. Bruce Springstein has a song about New Jersey called Born to Run. "Born to Run Fieros"
Just my 2cents

I think that Pegasus with the NJ tattoo is a really awesome idea.

For discussion... Liberty Fieros isn't my favorite name(but it isn't bad), and you can't tattoo feathers
More importantly, when thinking of a logo, you need to consider what you're going to do with it. Since it's a car club, you're going to want to have banners, signs, vinyl decals, maybe bumper stickers, newsletters and possibly some letterhead, envelopes, etc. While full(4) color is very nice, it's expensive and what you'd have to use to accurately reproduce that pegasus there. I offer(many don't) what I call "greyscale printing" for most items, which isn't that pricey compared with 4 color. It's still more expensive than black & white but would work for that logo though.
Food for thought.

With any of these we could make cars for the logo in grayscale ? Maybe with Pegasus you could have a fiero with a pegasus in it. LOL !!! I think that could look cool somehow.

I think we need to get back on track here with popular vote. I'm also lookin' forward to an even larger turmout for our next meeting. So I guess this club is good to go.

you should never rush perfection. to get a great name people should take thier time. rule of thumb is "the faster it's built, the faster it crashes" so... give it a little time for the name. as for my new vote... (i know i'm in ny and i don't count but eh.) The Garden State Fiero Club as for a logo... shoot some ideas my way and i'll see what i can do. i'm not going to use the above pegasus because he is right about the colors. maybe F-I-E-R-O would let us use his new pegasus on top of a side profiled fiero. or his pegasus on the rear bumpers of an 84 and a 88gt back bumper to back bumper.

Seems we should plan our 2nd meeting now for a better chance at having a full compliment of Fieros on hand. Considering our initial plan to meet in a month, February 17th is the 1 month aniversary. I plotted the approximate distances to and from each of our 8 locations including Pleasant Valley. Hillsborough, Neshanic, Stirling, Spotswood and Princeton are an average of between 38 and 40 miles from the other locations. Garfield averages 50 mi., Howell 60 mi. and Pleasant Valley 105 mi. I know Mike's not actually in Princeton and I had to use Neshanic Station instead of Neshanic but I figured it was close enough. I think it would be fun, at least intially, to meet at different places with the intent of finding a place that's comfortable for regular meetings. After all, it's not much fun owning a Fiero if you don't drive it. In Stirling there's a small rustic restaurant/bar called the Stirling Hotel. It's a little more expensive than a diner but I think I could get us our own small room at 1:30 or 2:00 on a Saturday. They also have a picnic area on the property that they occasionally use for car shows. We want to hold a vote on the name thing at that time if a concensus hasn't been reached by then. Obviously we need to meet each other and check out the cars, plan the location and date of the next meeting and kick around some ideas for events/trips. You could even bring your valentine if you want. I'll put together directions because mapquest doesn't know about some closed roads. Okay? Ed
