BMWGURU - Do I see louvers on the GT in the backround? If so, can I trouble you to please post a close-up picture on this post? Thanks in advance.
The car is waiting for the appointment with the body shop for paint. It will be a bright BMW silver. It took me months to find these louvers. Here are the pics.

Garden State Fieros will hold their next meeting on June 16th. The meet will feature an early lunch and a country road tour to Dennis LaGrua's for a look at his progress on a 3800sc swap. Anyone interested in joining in, can get the details and leave a note at http://www.gardenstatefiero...c/4321349/262962.htm . The weather's good, so let's get those Fieros out on the road.

June 16th is fine and everyone is welcome to come by for a while to take a look at my projects and shoot the breeze. The only thing that we need to concern ourselves with is that my wifey works most weekend nights at the local hospital and will be sleeping in the house that day. As a result we will need to confine our chat and activites to my garage and on the grounds outdoors, so if you like to sit just bring a portable chair with you. My driveway can accomodate about 10 Fieros so we should have room for all . If it overflows my next door neighbor has room on her 11 acres that I'm sure we can park on. Look forward to meeting all of you fellow Fiero owners. I was a member of the original Tri-State Fiero Club which was began in 1997 and was disolved in 1999. During the two short years of it's existance TSFC had attracted over 200 members, had a great magazine and organized many nice events. The two guys that basically ran the club just lost interest and the club folded- a valuable lesson to be learned. IMO, if we want to establish longevity for a new Garden State Fiero club, it will need to be run on an informal basis by consensus. We can organzie get-togethers at cruise nights, Englishtown Raceway, ATCO, have group lunches, scenic cruises ( Northern and Southern NJ, Poconos, Delaware River area , Washingtons Crossing State Park, Highpoint etc) and whatever. If you have an idea and wish to participate, post your opinion for an event. If you get a response and we have interest, then we can just go ahead and schedule the event. Perhaps we can also start contributing info for the Garden Sate Fiero Club webpages that appear to be going up. I can write some technical articles if that is of interest.

bump. Seems like the Fieros in NJ are coming out of the woodwork. I spotted an Indy on Rt. 22 and And a White Nochie about a 1/2 mile from my house. We received an email from a guy in Northern NJ with an 87 GT and he seems very interested. We contacted the other two owners and we hope they will join. 88IronDuke also plans to make it to the June meeting.

I think we are going to meet at Applebees on the 16th as someone suggested. Which Applebees and what time? I was thinking something like 11:30 so we can beat the lunch rush. Are there any Applebees on 202? I am looking forward to this meeting. Looks like we are going to have a good turnout.

I am not really familiar with Middlesex County, but I googled restaurants in the E,N,S Brunswick area and found Applebee's in Milltown at 24 Ryders Ln, Milltown, NJ 08850 and Longhorn in North Brunswick in the same plaza we met at in April. Longhorn isn't really an early lunch place. I also saw a pancake place, but that might be crowded on Saturday. I am trying to triangulate between us a central meeting location to destination point. I am coming from Howell, at the junction of Rt 9 and Interstate 195 Mike is coming from Princeton. Ed, Cathy and Ryan are from Stirling. I am unsure of the starting location of everyone else at this time. Our end location will be Hillsborough The only requirement I need are a few gas stations enroute estimating my 6mpg around town. I was only suggesting thse towns as a meeting point. Feel free to suggest the town we can meet at. The less bumper to bumper traffic would be appreciated. Dave

Just pm the info. Like the starting time and exact location of the restaurant we're eating so I can mapquest the directions. I hate being lost. I may have to part from you guys a little early because I have a friend who is going through a nasty divorce and he needs me now more than ever. Sorry guys. Wish I could stay for the whole duration.

The 10 day forecast shows rain towards the end of next week but it looks good for Saturday so far. As we get closer, we will have a more certain forecast to go by. We have 1000's of Fireo owners in New Jersey and have had no state club since 1999- isn't that a shame? When we finally plan a direction for the club to move forward, let's also consider how we can build something that will last. Next year at Carlisle I would like to see a nice NJ contingent at joining the MAFOA. festivities. Maybe we can get a block of rooms at the same hotel and organize a group dinner nearby with MAFOA members. We have the resources, we have the Fieros, now all we need is the desire and an activities plan.

The luncheon at Applebees was very nice and it was great meeting with other Fiero owners. Afterward we went on a 1/2 hour cruise here around and up the mountain and stopped for chips and drinks. The last of the group just left my garage about 1/2 hour ago and it was a most enjoyable day talking projects , seeing Lou's magnificent 600+ HP creation ( he brought the dyno sheets) talking 3800 swaps with Paul, Ryan Ed and Cathy and just seeing everyones Fiero with their personal touches. There seemed to be enthusiam for future Fieros events at different locations around the state. NJ is only 118 miles long and most locations are within an easy drive. Pontiac Day at Englishtown Raceway is this fall and hopefully we can fit a few activities in this summer. If anyone wishes to join any of the events that develop please feel free to come on down.

This was a great day; lunch, the people, and the cars. The 600 HP supercharged 350 was the install to see. Excellent installation and appearance.
For me all the shop talk of projects and this and that was the best. Got lots of good tips.
Although My Fiero is all apart for a rebuild and a Fino kit. I enjoyed the drive thru the beautiful country area breaking my v8 Dakota pick-up in. All in all a good day
Thanks Dennis for your hospitality.
