Be glad to but we still need James involved with this transaction. He'll have to sign the title back over, etc. I also wont take any parts that anyone may have given to the cause so if those have been put on, they'll need to be removed.

This is still the last resort. Random - If you can get James on here for a few minutes to give his view of what should happene it would help I believe. Again, thanks for your help.

Just for the record. The local club, FOCOSEVA (www.vafieros.com) has volunteered to help, we donated time and parts. Communication on the project just ended, no communication no help. Several members discussed this today at our monthly meeting. We have not heard from this guy in over a month, he went to California on xmas leave and that was the last time we heard from him. No updates, nothing.

We discussed the status of the car and helping out, but figured that this whole thing just ended. I live less than 6 miles from the address that was posted for him a few pages back in this thread. I too can stop over and check it out. And I too am a military guy. 21 years Navy, so I can discuss this with him on that level, or his division Chief if needed. Not to dime him out, just to get a read on his view of this kid.

I hope he wasn't hurt or injured either. Besides the personal tragedy it would make it difficult to get the car itself back into circulation. Seeing a local news story about a young Navy guy getting killed on his motorcycle, and reading the lead story on their 'Soundings' military paper about the number of crash-related deaths this last year made me wonder about this.

If someone finds information out on this please let us know - I know I personally gave my word to FieroStore that this was a legit project they should donate to and I'm definitely in the concerned category!

Maybe HI-TECH can let us know what is going on. He made mention of touching bases with him to get an update about two and a half weeks ago.

HI-TECH, anything at all?

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. NEARLY SEVEN MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS THIS GUY??????

What is wrong with this car, that requires so much work? Even at weekends, this could have been done and dusted in a month. Just look at what Toddster has done for Jeremy.
Yes, I said I was through with posting here...but this makes me mad.No respect for Jen, or the donators, or Ricr-Etr, or Joe, or the Forum.Ruins the chances of getting help for people who desperately need it in the future.JUST BAH!!

Can we get an update on this? If not, perhaps we need to get the items that have not been used and return them to the vendors that generously donated or put them on ebay for a charitable cause?

I have a gut feeling that we will not hear from FocusRush with that screen name again. He has shown that he can follow thru with much of anything. He is probably on the forum with a different screen name, and just waiting for this to die. Hi-Tech migh be able to get a little info since he was one of the only ones that had a direct line with Focus.

It is really sad that someone came on the forum with an idea for a very worthy cause, and pulled this stunt. The car should have been done long ago and in the driveway of one of the hurricaine victims.

I'm moving from VA to TN next week. Would love to come back and repo the car, except I probably don't have a leg to stand on legally except being really pissed off with the whole situation. Me and my family are headed towards a nice big new house with a huge garage. The '88 will be happy, but I should have held onto that damned '87 for my wife to tool around in/fix-up.

What a shame. I'd say a lot of other things but it would just look silly after the censor got hold of it.

Why is that, did you sign the car over to him? If the car is still in your name and he dosent have anything that says you gave it to him or its not in his name apply for a lost title and go get the car.

When he came and picked it up I did sign the back of the title and gave it to him, so it's his unfortunately. I told him I was giving him the car and all the parts with the promise he was going to provide it as relief to someone affected by Katrina, but it was simply a handshake promise, nothing in writing. And the thought crossed my mind to put something like that down somewhere, but he seemed like a very nice guy, he was in the military, had a military compadre with him when he picked it up. Between wanting to do a good thing for someone and not wanting to be a jerk I just said please promise me you'll do this in a timely fashion, he said no problem. I wrote that it cost him $50.00 on the title, but I told him I didn't require it, it was just to make it a 'sale', and he did not attempt to pay it.

It's sad. I overflow with trust in people. Time to reign it in a bit. Too bad. The worst part - I'm not rich, I don't have a lot of things, and everythign i do have is owned by me. This kid is just sitting back letting everyone take care of him, not worrying about anything in the world. We've all been there, but most of it get it out of our system early, and the military usually kicks it out iof the people who can't do it themselves.

I had the same notion about Hi-Tech, but I won't speculate. If he had multiple screen names or had come back as another, that just makes him an even bigger prick. There's nothing more noble than someone admitting they screwed up and at least make an attempt to make it right.

Down the road maybe someone will give me a deal on a notchie for my wife. I gave hers away thinking it was going to a better cause, but I look stupid now. Won't happen again.

I might get –‘s for this but I don’t even care anymore this is my own personal opinion ..directed twords fierofetish

For one no I’m not him, only reason why I was backing him up is because he is a nice guy and I believed that he would come though on this, but he hasn’t now and I was wrong, I did get a hold of him but that was the last time i herd from him. I was in the bad for sticking up for him I’m sorry but it doesn’t give you the ****ing right to accuse me of being him and then calling me names, if your so ****ing upset about it why don’t you come over the big pond and get the POS yourself, you’re the only one I see who been really that ****ing irritated by it, go get it.
I personally don’t give a **** about this whole thing anymore. I have my own life to attend to rather than pleasing some old hag who have nothing better to do than sit in front of the computer and ***** . the only reason why I type like crap is because I don’t care about forums, I don’t need to be a grammar teacher to get a damn point across and I’m up usually late working on computers that I don’t even care to look over what I did, now if your that irritated buy it don’t read my posts. And as far as me being him ill even send you my number if you want, so we can discuss this further over the phone. Gocart Mozart knows I’m me, and I’m only 15-20 miles from pokeyfiero. Now if you want more proof just ask, I’m done with you have a good day.

You really are a piece of work, aren't you? Sit in front of the computer and b!tch, I guess you meant. That is a whole damn lot nicer than stealing in the name of charity. You are full of it.You see him apparently stealing, by deprivation, motor parts, and a complete car that were willingly, and generously, donated by Forum Members and Businesses, and then you choose to attack me?? Where is your condemnation of his actions, until now? Why get p+ssed with me, when I won't let some piece of crap steal from my friends? You want to phone me, go ahead. 0034685134463.I'm not wasting my money calling you.

me a piece of work? look @ yourself. making accusations that I’m him and then proceeding to call me names, he didn’t steel it, its sitting in his garage with all the parts that where donated either on it or sitting aside ready to be put on, and a forum member can confirm that, they went to his house and even helped him. now like i said your so worried about it go get it, i really don’t care about it its not my problem, i was only defending him because he is a nice guy and he try's his hardest, i was in contact with him all summer because i set up the new forums on both is fiero and focus websites and from my experience with him he is an honest guy and he is trying his hardest. this isn’t overhaulin or pimp my ride where cars are pumped out in a matter of weeks, only one guy doing this with whatever little time he has. the only reason i got pissed is because of what you said and are accusing me of being.i see you all the time when someone has a problem yoru quick to jump the ball and get on the bash buss Like i said go get the pos back and finish it yourself. I’m done with you

WHAT???? Post links please, to back up this statement. All I have ever done is try to help Folk.Back it up, or shut it up.Read the whole thread. Just remember one thing. You called me an old hag. I have been young, and now I am old. You are young, and you WILL become old. Just remember that, when you choose to insult somebody about their age.
I have never called you names.Show me where. I asked if there was a likelihood that you were FocusRush. I am not the only one to wonder. If you are not, as you state, then I will accept that statement. Not that you care, of course. But then, I do. And that is why I don't like what is happening.

Hmm..just checked my ratings..have you down for a plus...trying to work out why. It stays as it is.I can understand why you got p+ssed with me, and I never award plusses without good reason, so it stays. Sorry for the conjecture over your identity.
Nick

Let's please try to keep this in perspective. FocusRush came forward in September of last year with a good idea. He made several posts and got sponsors & forum members excited over an ambitious project. I don’t think that anybody ever expected him to produce this car in a matter of a few weeks but the problem is, it’s been 105 days and he hasn’t posted in this thread at all. I am sure he hasn’t fallen off the face of the earth. Even if he doesn’t have Internet right now, I am sure there is a computer available at the public library. I would understand this taking time. Heck, it took me two years to do a chassis-up restoration on my GT but, he can certainly post from time to time and tell us what is going on. It’s this silence that makes people suspicious. If he has lost interest, the vendors that donated items should be notified, other arrangements made or materials returned.

HI-TECH, perhaps you shouldn’t have spoken so strongly on his behalf. It would have been time better spent trying to persuade FocusRush to post for himself.

Hope we get an update soon,

Gordo

Hey Rice ~ Thanks for all of your help so far. Do you happen to know the number of the local police force there? I hate to get ugly but I can't answer to people who asked me for recommendations (which I gave) to donate parts to this since I don't know what is going on. I'd like to have them either get their stuff back or get this thing where it should be - in the hands of someone who will finish it Thanks!

Jen

Not a bad idea. There will be a hundred fiero owners in Carlisle this weekend for the show. We could have a "Hocus Pocus Run for Focus Cruise" to VA (or something like that).

Sorry - just now checked in. I'm in Nashville now, but I'd seriously consider getting back up there if it meant getting this situation straight.
