The first project I'm tackeling is the Side skirts. The car came with a decent set of GT side skirts and door trim, but it was never installed.
So far, I have the Drivers side rocker panel and the quarter panel piece on....
When I removed the original, there was a little rusing around the rivit holes, and some general scratches from trapped dirt and sand, so before intalling, I went over it with a wire wheel to strip it and then went over it with a few coats of some black semi-gloss. It then looked 100 times better then stock....
From there I sanded down the skirt and side trpim and rivited everything into place...
I'll post up photos when I find my USB cable... LOL

Okay, Today so far, I have managed (Betewwen all of my errands) to finish installing the side skirts, as well as:
1. Replacing 3rd brake light cover tan to grey 2. Replaced map light - tan to grey 3. Removed dented lower grills from decklid vents. 4. Cut my hands up pretty good from the metal shavings 5. Oh, and stripped and paited under the side skirts.....
I'm just taking a quick break to bandage up my hand. THen I'll be putting in what ever else I can.

I agree with aus 100%.. Do not give the car away to one person. So they have a Fiero now.. so what. Thats it, plus theothers who didn't get anything. Make a nice car, raffle it off.. Distribute cash or goods.. My .02

I went to the local junk yard and found 2 Fiero's. A white 85 and a Black 84. There were some good peices in the cars, but nothing really that I needed. If the interior peices in Hurricane were not in such good shape, I could have easily raped the cars for the insides. I did manage to pick up a Passengerside fender to replace the cracked one and a pair of great headlight doors. I think I might have to go back to pick up a few more peices that are in just great shape. Thanks to U-Wrench-It in Virginia BEach for giving a 25%discount on top of there already sale prices.
Just wanted to confirm to you that I sent Gordo's and my contribution of parts today as discussed in our PM's, Priority Mail. Hopefully you will receive on Thursday.
Posting here to bump the thread.

Also the Dorr panels from The Fiero Farm have come in and they look great! I already put in the Drivers door panel in and will be putting in the passengerside one soon.
Also, I nabbed the map pocket, shifter boot, and e-brake boot and will be sending it off to Poland as templates for some great custom leather!

You're welcome! Pretty small potatoes, but feel good about being able to contribute.
Thank you for taking on this massive project, Focus. A big thank you also going out to all of the vendors and other members of the Pennock's community who have come together in donation of parts and/or their time and resources to make your project a reality. Looking forward to seeing your progress as it all comes together.

I'm just wating on a few more interior parts, then I'm going to do the interior all at once. Then From there I'm going to focus on the exterior. Which will include the install of a facotry sunroof, fastback conversion and chin spoiler install. Oh, and don't forget, the cool paint job I have in mind. I'm not letting that secrete out till it's on the car. But, if you have suggestions on a paint scheme, I'm more than open to consider your ideas. But first things first. Interior, then I'll move on.
Still need the following parts for interior...
1. Center console shifter bezel - Just needs to be straight and not cracked. I will be painting it. 2. Center console surround (any color, It's gonna get dyed a diffrent color) 3. Shift Knob 4. Pair of dark grey arm rests. 5. GT Gauges and stereo/ac surround to match. 6. Grey or black steering wheel. 7. Stereo system (including rear speakers)
I got everything else new from vendors and Will be going in VERY soon.
Stay tuned for the progress!

What kind of shift knob do you need? It is a manual trans right? I have one. Grey. Not leather wrapped though. If you want it it's yours. Just give me an address to send it to.
