Well he stopped responding to my email request for shipping info for the parts I paid for. If I do not hear from him tomorrow, I will file with paypal to get my cash back.
I've talked to fetish about this. I haven't recieved any response to my phone calls or emails sent (as directed in the voicemail) Gonna take a swing by tommorow guys.

Some Chaps Are Muppets; Many Even Rotters....read into that whatever you like. Nick
Nick, I am still trying to figure this one out... maybe he is a rotten muppet? Help me out on dechipering
I will come out and say what I think. He is a thief! I only wish I had seen this thread before I bought stuff from him. I find it very strange that he would not answer any of Jennifer's questions, and was hard for her to find, but right in the midst of all of that, he was emailing me back and forth. And then right after he got my money, he can not be contacted or will not return any emails.
I truly hope that I am wrong, and he has a good reason for disappearing... maybe he lost his computer or something....
I feel really stupid for giving him the car and all kinds of parts. The thing was fine, was gonna use it to give to a member who wanted to put in a clutch in my '88 GT for me. This blows. I hate feeling like an idiot for doing something nice...

Please..don't feel an idiot. You are far from it. I might still be wrong, but this seems to have been pretty well planned from the start. He has always had something come up, which forestalled anybody actually visiting or seeing the car.If this is true, I hope he rots in hell.If it isn't, well who can be blamed for thinking this way? It stinks. Nick

Is that his old address, Joe? He says he has moved to his new house now... Nick

If this does turn out to be a deliberate attempt to commit a fraud, I can only say that it leaves a very bitter taste in many mouths. Not only that, it will probably tend to make any further efforts to help out needy people, who have suffered bad luck through this sort of event (the Hurricane), be regarded with scepticism by those who would wish to help.I still cling to a hope that there is a reasonable explanation for the way things have gone. It is now merely a glimmering flicker of light. If you are reading this, FocusRush, at least try to explain what is happening.Now. If you can't handle it, for whatever reason, allow somebody else to complete the neccessary work. You have already been offered help by at least one Member here, and yet seem to have thrown it back in his face. Nick

No, not yet anyways.
Next month, I'll be on the east coast for a day. Maybe an hour or so from the address provided by RandomTask. I'll mapquest that address, and pay Mr. Hocus-Pocus-Focus a visit.
I sent this guy $600 worth of parts for good cause. Not for his personal gain!
As far as I can tell, Doug, he has moved from that property already. You will have to trace him to the new one, I guess..He says it isn't far away, but this might just be to cover his tracks..I hope he surfaces with a good explanation first.....By his own admission, he has received over $2000 in parts..now two GT windows...but they are no good for a notchie, so maybe we should check eBay...

Craig, If you're reading this topic, PM me your address. I'll send a pair of GT windows directly to you.
Oh, Mr FocusRush, if you're reading this.........see you soon!
Doug if you are coming to Daytona this year lets just go ahead and wait until then, maybe he will come up with them and if not we can figure something out by show time...
Thanks, Craig

Well I did a little research today, and it appears that he is still in the Navy. I have not heard from him yet, and have emailed him nearly daily after he took my money. He could be busy with Navy business (I am not sure yet), but that does not excuse him from not letting folks know.
Can all that sent him goods and or money please send me an email with details. If you have email or PM traffic from him confirming reciept of property, that will be a bonus.
For those that do not know, I am an Air Force First Sergeant, and from time to time, I have to investigate stuff similar to this as a part of the job; and in some instances I assist with the disposition of such cases.
There are no guarantees that folks will be paid if owed, but rest assured if he is stealing, and using the Hurricaine to commit fraud to his own gain, it can not be a good thing for him.
I know how to find a military person... I know the language, and military law well enough to "talk the talk, and walk the walk."
I have to raise the BS flag. I have been in the Navy for 23 years and have not had a problem getting to my email. Heck even while in the gulf I still got my email. Sounds like he is just avoiding everyone.

Well, I gave him the car. I had a personal value of 500 bucks on it, but I only wrote $50 on the title so he didn't have to pay much tax on it, and never actually took any money at all for it. I figured it was going to a good cause. Wish it had. Better yet, wish I had given it to DelawareFiero to do my clutch in my '88...
Also gave him brand new Pionner 4x10 and Rockford Fosgate 3.5" speakers to throw in it. Gave him a complete ground effects kit (minus the fascias), all new engine mounts for the 4-cyl in case he decided to keep that engine in the car, new battery, etc.

i am not out any parts or money but i just find it to be a coincedence that his first post is about scammers....could it all have been a ploy to b!tch about the scammers to try to get on everyones good side all in order to set up this big scam in the first place
what better way to scam people then to make them think that you HATE scammers. whether this deal is going to be legit or not i will NEVER do any sort of business with this guy or even have a kinda word to say about him.
i don't care if i get a negative from this from him or anyone else. .

Cliff Notes Version of the PM I got from Random Task:
He went to the house and after knocking for a minute or two, Focus answered the door.
Without going into a whole lot of detail, Random now has the quarter windows and will ship them to the rightful owner.
Focus claimed to be waiting on his bank to confirm reciept of the paypal transaction that I sent him 2 weeks ago...I wonder why he never told me that in the numerous emails that I sent asking for shipping status.
He claims that his mom is the only one with a computer that is on the internet, and he is not allowed to use it. (that would explain why no one has heard from him)
Random is going back this weekend to help finish the car... come rain or shine.
I left a few details out, because I think it is up to Random to disclose them if he wants. Random, thanks for the leg work, and if I need anything in regards to help with shipping, I will let you know. I already paid him for shipping, but if it comes do it, and you are willing to ship on his behalf, I will glady paypal you money to do it.
Thanks so much for grabbing those sail panels. Let me know how much the postage is and I'll gladly reimburse you the money. I'll pm you Craigs address now. (I kept enough money in the raffle account to pay for sail panels if need be, I had a bad feeling about it) As soon as you give me your paypal address, and I see it, first thing I'll do is send you the money.
Okay, so raffle stuff. I paid for Miss Tress's seat covers. Mr Mike shipped them out on Friday (I had the pleasure of talking to him on the phone, what a great guy!) They should have gotten to her yesterday. So that parts over and done with. As soon as I find out how much to send to Joe for shipping, Garrett and Anthony, the rest of the money will go out to you guys. BTW nice 85 Anthony!! Congrats!!
Then I'll finally be able to stop worrying about this. Thank god and I want to thank everyone that trusted me with the money. It could have easily turned out ugly like this. To the vendors whom donated so much to this, I'm truly sorry I couldn't do anything about this. I sincerely feel bad and I hope that Joe can get everything straightened out.
Thanks all,
Dar

i can conferm the internet thing.. i helped him out setting up a forum for both his fiero and focus sections of his website, he ususly was on the net most the day but when he moved he is on maybe once a month, he dosnt have the net and his mother wont let him use it much (hardley @ all).... he is a really good guy with a good heart...life happens, people have plans that sometimes dosnt allways get though, i know he was in the wrong for not sending them asap...he should have, but like i said sometimes you cant allways do what you really want to do and you have to make sacrafices (even if it hurts others) to try and make things right, he will get this project done and he will come though, its been a tuff year....he will come though hes not that kind of person to just bail out and dash with the money (or donations)...
