Quite true, the Words Southwest Missouri, and Hooker never go well together, you would think, that with all of them giving it away, that the hookers would have to be pretty darn good to make it. Well... It's a screwed up world. [shakes head]

im kinda surprised he hasnt posted yet... did you give him that $20 hooker already?
I dont know what to say. My friends are leaving my side, everyone wants my **** for nothing and i have a headache i have been trying to shake for the last 4 days. I guess people's true colors come out when something is happening. I guess you really have to hit bottom to see how far the top is. Needless to say. Im at the bottom. Now its time to start climbing up to the top.

Kris, someday you'll look back on this and... . . ya know what? Just don't look back.
nono, its fine that he looks back, but just to the part where he moved and started fresh.. just so he will always remember there are good people out there...and possibly pay it forward oneday?
EDIT I was going to say he could stay in OKC with me for a night if he was trashed from the bus ride. I am not sure how that would work exactly though on the bus fares. If it is Friday on the time in OKC, I will leave work a bit early and hangout for a bit if you would like. If you want to crash a night that is fine too. Pound a few beers get you some decent food and a proper OKC hooker. Maybe take a cruise in the Fiero. Let me know... Also maybe say if I need to skip work kind of early to meet up.

Kris---DO NOT send PK your number -- he'll only send you endless photos of his collection of non running fieros : -) On a serious note --- just look forward - every mile you put behind you gets you closer to personal peace and the chance to make the world your own.

You have one advantage. You are young. You haven't had the time or the money to accumulate a vast wealth of material things. Granted you worked and earned what you have, but getting free of your situation is priceless. You can get more stuff, and better stuff. Just make sure you get real friends next time, and a better situation. You are being offered a reprieve that will extend and improve your life.... and a kickass story to tell your next, much better friends. They are better than a lot of stuff.

OK city is on Saturday, for about half an hour. Stopping the bus schedule is not an option, it would be cost prohibitive.
It would also possibly ruin other "plans" down the line.
With all that is going on in our world and country, this is truly a GREAT thing that Brad (twofatguys) and Rachel (his wife and better half) are doing. They are no better off than the rest of us or maybe worse and they are opening their home to , for the most part, a stranger. This is the greatest act of kindness that I have ever seen and I would expect nothing less from the both of them. Brad would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Rachel would make him put it back on, because, well ewe!....lol. In all seriousness this is what we need to witness right now. An act of kindness. I have been brads friend for more than 5 years and I would have to say that I am proud of him and proud to be his friend. I know this may be cheesy but I dont care. I want him to know that I am behind him and will help in any way that I can. Dustin
I'm here at Brads to help him get his spare room fixed up and furnished for when Kris gets in. I'll get some pictures up after I've got it cleaned out.
I think me and Brad's wife are going to hit up some stores to try to find some furniture tomorrow while Brad is at work but I dunno, we'll see

Brad
I can do Saturday no problem. Also that bus stop is in a shitty area, probably wouldn't hurt for someone to be there too. If you want me to meet up send me a PM. We can grab you something to eat too and maybe hangout while you wait.

Don't forget to look at Craigslist! There is always something to find on there for free it seems. I don't live in a populated area so I always have to drive like an hour to get something, but I have found several free nice things that people just don't wanna throw away. I usually see some decent furniture on there (and some really nasty ones too). Just a thought. I'll send money tomorrow twofatguys, I get paid today

great way to show that there are still decent people out there big thanks to brad and good luck antuzzi things always could be worse and its the good people like this that make it all bearable
OK so Kris will be getting on the bus today at 5:30pm Pacific time, 7:30pm Central. Lets keep him in our thoughts as he starts this step of his journey.
In case anyone needs to get ahold of me, my number is (480) 442-2328, That's (480) 442-2FAT for the mnemonic people. If tyour number is unrecognized it has you leave your name, and asks me if I want to talk to you. So be patient. I am also at work right now with good cell signal, and at home I have almost none.
Here's to a new direction, and a new outlook. We'll be over here waiting on you Kris.

Keep us up to date, if he has to divert through Kansas on I-70 let me know. Thats near my neck of the woods. I seen the (bus) schedule, but I also know stranger things can happen. I'll keep checking this thread through the day in case. (785.226.1480) is my cell if needed, too.
The Oklohoma bus route is too far for me to go to to keep an eye on him, (I am on duty at Fort Riley).
Once he gets to Missouri, If he needs some things like blankets or such, or money for food, let me know. I can send some on the first (payday).
Its amazing how a little plastic car can make people so helpful (also a forum based in the netherlands...)
