Hah the licenses can be pretty hard and annoying. Especially with the normal ps2 controller :P. It took me a lot of practice to get A license with all silvers, I can't imagine all golds.

Same as GT3, only in GT3 you had to gold them all before you won a car. In GT4, you win one for just getting the license. Plus, you can win another car for getting all silver, and another for all gold.

No wonder thats new to me cause I never won a car in GT3 lol, I never tried to get all Golds or silvers.

So if I get all Bronzes, I get the sunfire in A? What about Silvers & Golds in A? Thx.

Yep, cause in real life you can't do that. N/A engine upgrades are different then what a Turbocharger/Supercharger would have, thats why you can't have both. I just learned this today.

Alright I got it today. It rocks!! Although I don't like using the analog joystick to controll the car. maybe I'm old school but It feels much easier with the normal controlls.

Anyone tried rally racing yet? Definatly more realistic that GT3, need to use a heck of a lot more steering and throttle inputs. That and getting used to the new rally tracks make it some of the toughest races so far.

So who wants to have a PFF GT4 "Track" Day . We should all agree on a "fiero replacement" and then have a week to prep & tune. I vote on the two first generation MR2's, simliar to the Fiero exterior wise, and is a mid-engine. You can ONLY get the first gen MR2's under the Historic lot, there is 2 models. Well i'll wait for feedback, i'm off to get a headstart lol.

No, he didn't miss it. He said DSM, which means turbo (and i think AWD too)

The talon ESI, is FWD, and i thought they were non turbo too, but i'm not sure on that. Either way, it's not the DSM he is refering to

Looking sweet. I wish you could buy them so I could pick what color I want, but nooooo they have to be difficult. How do I regenerate for more MR2's to show up?? I just bought a white one cuz it was the only one and I figured that would regenerate another one. Do you or anyone else know the colors available for them?? Thx.

The colors are random, I think. You have to wait until the used cars cycle, every 7 days. I got lucky and there was a red one when I looked. Was even able to buy gold 10 spoke wheels for it

And to answer your question about A-Spec points, they're just for bragging rights. The more points a race is worth, the tougher it is.

Yeah most races i've done were under 20 at the most, then I did one with like 150+!!! Dang, it was hard. Hmm 7 days.....Well i'll just keep buying the MR2's, and if I never find a color I like i'll just pick outta the ones I want. So how do you make the days rack up, a Race = 1 day right?

Yup, a race is a day. Buying a car, wheels, or a wing will also. Selling a car also advances it a day.

One thing I don't like about the a-spec points is that they can be misleading. I've had 30 point races that were impossible, and 150 point ones that were easy. I've heard that if you fully mod a Dodge Ram, you'll get 200 points in almost any race even though you destroy the other cars.

Wait the # of points you get are also affected by the type of car you drive and how modified it is??? That's odd.....

Of course. HP, power-to-weight ratio, ride height, and some other stuff I'm not sure of all affects how many points a race will be worth. If you go into a beginner race with a 500hp race car, it's only gonna be worth 1 point because the competition is so out-classed. The max you can get is 200.

So basically you'll get more points if your "even" with the competitors in that race, or unfair for you??

So anywho else in a 1/4 Mile Race contest using the 1st gen mr2 besides Standard & I??

Alright I just got it two days ago so bare with me. lol Is it just me or is The coffee break part of getting your license THE HARDEST PART! I breeze through the rest but the a license I can't knock over all those damn cones!!! Do you have to do it to get your license?

BTW I screwed up whenn I started. I took a lancer evo...unfortunatly it's an all wheel drive car and they don't allow to many all wheel drive cars in alot of the first races.

The coffee break is untimed so just go back and get the cones you didn't hit the first time.

Yep, I realized that too when I tried it. To get the Bronze it's what ever time you beat it in, then for silver & gold well it shows what time you have to beat.

Also anyone know how to get that Camaro Race car??? Once we get more particpants for the 1st Gen MR2 1/4 mile PFF challenge we'll set up a date .

You can win the Camaro in the American Stars and Stripes race. Can't find the C5R in any prize list, so you may just have to buy it.

So when can we start posting GT 4 virtual fiero timeslips? I've got some unrealistic 1/4 mile times for only 232 hp Well here are some picks of my fiero wanna be.

Got the fast run on vid from my digital camera under a meg and kinda crappy but can clearly see the numbers.

Oh yeah when you get a chance make a pitstop to bad you can't get a pic of it its pretty cool.

I just got a question. I know in arcade mode you have 240 car to choose from and as you unlock cars in gt mode they will appear in arcade mode but I have seen a list of online from about 155 car to unlock and I've seen a few cars in the game in the used car showrooms that are not in the unlock list like the svt mustang etc.....

How are those car suppose to be in the arcade mode of the game? By buying them and using you memory card?

Nike car sucks, all it's good for is looks. It's not even fast at all or handle well. The same goes for the Caterham 7, it wont let you enter it in any races which sucks.

The '98 3000GT VR-4 is a freaking beast in the 1/4! I couldn't believe how hard it hooked. I believe I ran an 8.6 @ 170+!!
