Because they want all the up and coming ricers to think their Hondas sound like real race cars with their beehive exhaust...

Use a USB thumbdrive. You can save the pics directly to it in photo mode on the PS2.

another race that's good for quick money is the american events; Stars and stripes, 10K a race, and you win the 600 HP LM camaro race car worth 212K

You need the IA license to run in that one though, or you can just be the director if you don't have that license.

Umm i'm confused as in what you have to buy or get?? I have a USB drive in the front(1 slot that I usually use to quickly load pics onto my pc from digicam) and 2 in the back. So do I need to buy some sorta cord or something?? I'm confused, pics and a link to what stuff I need to buy would be helpful for me and others too.

A thumb drive is a media storage device that plugs into your USB port you can store data in it and retrieve from it. Plug it into your PS2 and save the pic to it,then take it to your computer and retrieve the pic from it. Then all you have to do is resize pic to forum regulations the post it like a regular picture.

I got this pendrive/thumbdrive from Wal-mart for like 40 bucks. It has 256mb of storage compacity.

Anyone know if you can save replays and other videos from GT4 to the usb disk? I'd be cool to show some on pennocks.

For the exhaust, I've found that you can keep a "true" sound if you stay the step below on the exhaust. Using sport instead of racing. Usually costs a few hp, but worth it for your ears!

So are you saying if you get semi racing exhaust on a car it sounds like a real V8? making a mental note of that one

Here is the one I like. Sort of a futuristic World of Outlaws sprint car without the wing.

Very cool.

I'll have to put the sport exhaust on my GTO and see if there is a difference between it and the racing one.

Has anyone unlocked the Sunfire GXP and the Soltice?? If so what races??

Also whoever gave the tip of going to the Special Event Races and to the 2nd one, Capri, THANK YOU. That is awesome, 27X,XXX $$$$$$ cha ching lol. Plus it's not that really hard, my GTO smokes the cars on the 2 races. Plus it puts your car to the test, and how well you can handle your car. Also on a side note that I didn't notice at first, on that race you tires don't wear. So put on or buy the best tires you can if you already don't have them.

Some races won't allow you to run unless you have a sport tire equiped ie no racing tires.

I've got a RX-8... Do the One-make race and you'll get 2k per race, 15k for winning the series, and a nice RX-8 race car.. not sure how much its worth.

I like the muscle cars, but they handle like crap. So theres definatly no Fox body mustangs?

Yup, I picked up the SVT in the used car lot.

I've got a '70 Chevelle SS 454, put a racing suspension on it. After a some time spent tuning it handles pretty darn good. Of course they're pretty bad, stock. The game is supposed to be realistic, after all . Currently using it to clean up in the European 1,000 miles series with b-spec mode. The series only allows pre-1970 cars, the other ones in the race are all UK built with less than 150hp. Pretty one sided, but you get 150k a race plus 300k for winning the series.

I wonder how my '97 Camaro Z28 would compare with your SVT? I've got it to 490 hp/670 torque right now with supercharger, nitrous (no idea on hp with nitrous, but I get like half a sec off the qtr with it), balancing, port and polish, computer chip, and the racing exhaust/intake. I also have racing brakes, 3-plate clutch and a racing flywheel and a carbon driveshaft but they don't add hp. Working on a custom tranny and suspension. Just for numbers anyone (Standard please post yours heh) say what you get in the qtr mile (Las Vegas Dragstrip). I get 11.5 sec at 138 mph or so depending on traction and shift points.

My SVT runs a 12.79 @ 119 in road race trim (398hp/411tq). Stage 2 weight, S3 tires, cage, racing suspension, all tranny mods, sports exhaust and chip. Some R5 tires and suspension tweaking, it'll run 11.93 @ 120 off the bottle, and 11.09 @ 135 spraying.

I had the Sunfire, it sucked really bad, I tuned it up a bit and entered the FF challenge and got spanked. Maybe it would've been better by the time it got fully tuned but I opted not to waste anymore money on it and go with a faster front wheel drive car. My favorite car so far is my 900+ HP Cadillac Cien (Soon as I save a little more cash and get the 3rd stage of N/A tuning and Supercharger it'll be well over 1000 hp)

If I remember correctly you need to retake and re-earn your "A" license.
