Yeah, weel they both led our Calgary Stampeders to Grey Cup Championships as well as earning the MVP. We miss 'em though, the guy we have now stinks!
Right about now I wish I had Garcia quarterbacking for them Buccaneers. With some of the quarterbacks available in the upcoming draft, it really makes you wonder, eh? Is Shaun King really the guy? This is the first time i've said this but, I hope not.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw that score. Bengal4, I saw your earlier post about fairweather fans. I lived near you from '86 to '99 (Wilmington, Middletown & Waynesville) and felt like I was the only true fan. It made me sick how people were only fans when they were winning. Gonna have a Houston team to cheer for soon, so I'll have to stop being a WhoDey. But if they ever ditch Mike Brown they'll be alright. How's that new stadium?
OH HAPPY DAY. The football gods were smiling on my boys yesterday. Unbelievable rushing performance. Sent all those Denver fans home with their tails between thier legs.
Chadman, I will be there with the car in about 3 weeks. Have the steak ready.
Cheever, Paul Brown Stadium is awesome. Now all we need is a winning team and at least for one week, we do. You know what they say, The sun doesn't shine on 1 dogs a$$ all the time. Well today, it's shining on mine. Next up, a Couchless Brown's team. Lookout Chadman, maybe it will be 2 in a row.
OK, Bengal - email me the day before you come so I can go buy some fresh steaks. No freezer burned "door to door" steaks for my Fiero pals!
I can't believe the Bengals won - and Corey Dillon rushed for 270+ yards! The Bengals always had talent, but no leadership - now it looks like the players have decided to lead themselves. As for the Browns, without Couch, I'm very afraid. I hope they play Spergon Wynn next week or we're dead meat.

Life is too good for Uaana right now. He has a Fiero AND an undefeated team. Now if he could only have a "stunt" coach for the play-offs, life would be so good he couldn't take it.
Cris Carter--that's exactly why I CAN'T STAND him. Culpepper seems decent, though.

Did any insomniac catch the Jets-Dolphins game Monday night (Tuesday morning for some)? I only saw the 4th quarter! I sure came at the right time. Dave Wannstadt. Gotta love him. He's going to do for the Dolphins what he did for da Bearssss. The only bad thing is that now the Dolphins are going to madder than wet hens when they play their next opponent which happens to be...my Packers! Oh, oh.

We should change the name of this thread to: "Oh, those icky Buccaneers". It's taken me since last Thursdays game to stomach reading this thread again. But who knows... if the Bengals can win a game... any game... maybe miracles can still happen! Maybe the Bucs can beat the Vikes this Sunday . Yea, right. I read in the paper today that Dungy say the reason why the offence isn't producing is because the offence has gotten too complicated and, therefore, he going to simplify it. LOL . I guess he going to bring back Shula. Funny... I thought he never left...

And it also looks like my Couchless Browns are the worst team in the NFL. Oh, this is bad. The Bengals fan here at work who has been hiding from me is strutting around here like a banty rooster. And I'm sure BENGAL4 is in heaven right about now.
But I don't think any team that can only manage 12 points against my hapless Browns is playoff bound!

2 in a row. I dont know how to act, it's been so long. The Couchless Browns are terrible. I think the Buckeyes could give them a good game. We are getting better, slowly, but better. Coach LeBeau is giving the team some much needed discipline. I'll take a win, any way I can get it. The Ratbirds are next. We owe them for throwing the ball with a 35 point lead in the 4th quarter. Brian Bilick is an ass. The Ratbirds are sinking and maybe we can finish them off.
Hang in there Chadman. Both our teams STINK. But for right now, yours is worse than mine.
Hey Bengal, the ravens might be sinking but no matter how low they go , they will still be able to whip the Bungles.
Lets see a 200 yard rushing game against the ravens defense, actually, lets see a POINT from the bungles against the ravens. We need to play a sorry team like the bungles to wake up our offense. Don't be suprised if Billick starts the ROOKIE...lol

OK! Everyon around here is BACK onthe Bucs bandwagon. It was a great game for Bucs fans but bad for the Vikes fans. I think the key was the pressure the Bucs defence put on Culpepper along the the double (read: blanket) coverage on Moss (Did I mention I hate him?).
Combine a great defence with a little offence and the Bucs had the Vikes SOOOOO confused. When a team has grown accustom to putting big points on the board from big plays they look almost incompetent when you take a big lead and prevent the big play.
The Bucs made it look easy. So... the big questions this... Where has the offence been the prevous four games??? The Bucs should win the next five games (sorry packer fans ).
Chadman: was it a coincidence, or was your remark about door-to-door steaks a reference to Ickey Woods' profession? Last I heard, that's what he was doing (serious). Maybe Bengal4 knows the latest. Before he got hurt I once saw him at the mall carrying a couple pizzas. Suppose he'll be in the XFL? I hope so.
Ha, Cheever, I wish I were clever enough to make an obscure Bungles reference like that!
No, I actually bought some steaks from a guy selling them door-to-door out of a freezer truck this past spring. They were pretty good, but the last few aren't tasting as good as the first few - think they've been frozen too long.
If BENGAL4 actually brings his supercharged beast of a GT by my place and takes me for a ride, I will go buy some fresh steaks for him. Unless he makes too many "Browns stink" jokes, in which case I'll try and slip him some Gaines Burgers when he isn't looking.
Cheever: Ickey was selling steaks, door to door for awhile. I dont know what he's doing now.
Black88GT: I really thought the Ratbirds had chance to do something this year. I never hated them the way I do the Browns, but after Billick's no class act, I put them right down there with Cleveland. With Sirragusa out, we might have a chance to run the ball, we sure won't be able to pass though.
Chadman: I never dog a real fan. You have met me. Don't you think I can tell the difference between steak and dog food. LOL.

ALL THE WAY TO THE SUPERBOWL, BABY!!!!!! (well, this thread at least, not my team. Get to be embarrassed nationally this week instead of just regionally.)
You should have seen some of the commercials for the Seahawks before the season began. They had Mike Holmgren saying how the Seahawks were a championship caliber team, and how the Husky stadium is going to be louder than the Kingdom.

onfire, welcome to the forum; and to the football fray!
The only happy Packer years I've had since my childhood with Vince Lombardi, has been with Mike Holmgren. He is a great coach and will do a good job for you. But if you are sick of him, tell him I said hi and I would be glad to have him back. You know, if you run in to him.
What's your theory on why the Seahawks are so bad this year, onfire? After last season I thought they'd be a force to be reckoned with this year. Why are they 2-7?
I'm really curious, not sarcastic. Here in Columbus, we never see the Seahawks - just the Browns, Bengals, Steelers, Lions, and whoever's the current "bandwagon" team (we get a lot of Rams games now - we used to get lots of Bronco and Packer games).

Inexperienced quarterbacks for one.I'm not saying they are bad, they just need a little more experience. So maybe next season. I think they are still a good team. A couple of the games were close. They could have gone either way, just not ours.
Frontal lobe I think we will keep Mike Holmgren, for a few more season's. Or at least til we win a Superbowl.

Sorry "onfire" but the Chargers are due this weekend, and the seahawks are ripe for the taking. Don't get me wrong, the Seahawks will be a great team, but not for a couple years. It's because Mike Holmgren does not have a leader on his team. He builds a team the way he wants to and he gets rid of all the punks (guys who don't want to work hard). In Green Bay, Brett Favre was ready to break out and Holmgren and Favre fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. From there on. it was gravy. I think the Seahawks weren't as good last year as people think they were (remember the chargers had an 8-8 record!) Once a leader emerges and the younger players grow into Mike's style, the Seahawks will be a force to be reckoned with. They might get Drew Brees out of Purdue if they keep struggling. That would be sweet.

I like the Bengals, and they currently suck. Though the last few games with an NFL record broken and a win or two hasn't been bad at all. I think a Bengal striped Fiero would look cool. You can see a design of one I did here: http://www.kelleyfamilyfieros.homestead.com/Stevesfiero5.html

I like the Bengal GT. It's giving me some ideas. As for breaking NFL records for your first win, I will take a win any way I can get one. Score for Sunday.
Hey BENGAL4, I'd like to gloat over the inaccuracy of your predicted score in the Bengals/Ravens game. But I can't, for two reasons:
1) All true Browns fans believe Art Modell is Satan, and must therefore hate the Ravens until he sells them.
2) For the third straight week, my Browns looked even worse than your Bengals. To call the Browns bad would be an insult to bad football teams everywhere.
What's with the Rams? Do they miss Warner that badly? I guess I underestimated just how strong an on-field leader Warner is.

Are we allowed to talk about teams other than those in the Central division!?
I really thought Indy was going to pull it off yesterday! Several scores in the last few minutes of the game (10 minutes?) and a recovered on-side kick ... only to be shot to h*ll by a fumble!!!
And what kind of crap is it when my 6-3 Redskins (now 6-4) lose to a 2-6 (now 3-6) Arizona team!?!?!?
Time to turn off the boob-tube and take up stamp collecting!
