I should come in mine revving all the way stuck in 1st gear! Yaaay! Btw, check your PM's Rick.
Yo turn your phone on i left you a message. I cant take the tranny out of my parts car because its going to my powdercoater for payment on powdercoating wotk but we can go pull one at a yard. And yo if you need a fiero for carlisle you can drive my green one up.
Its about time that we start talking about Carlisle as its the biggest show in the NE. I was wondering why the chat hasn't started. I'll be driving my black 3800SC GT and enjoying it tremendously. Been corresponding with a number of 3800 swappers that should have their cars there as well. I registered on the MAFOA site last month. For those staying over, hotels in Carlisle are hard to find and very expensive for what you get. I booked the Radisson in Camp Hill (about 20 miles away) via Hotwire. Its an upscale 3.5* hotel for around $69 per night. Its worth the 25 minute drive in the morning to save staying in one of the fleabag 1* places for $150 per night. WHen there is a car show they rip ya off bad in that area.

This is true. I was at the style and preformance show with my car this past weekend and a guy i knew who was there said they paied $170 a night for a motel. If i stay im bringin up a tent lots of beer and campin the hell out
The Super 8 Motel near Hoss'sis like $40 in February, but about $130 during Corvettes. And the like $80 for Fords... I love how they up the price even more for the Vetters.

PK, are there places available to camp? Do they let you camp in the fairgrounds?
If I may be permitted to chime in: On many shows they do maintain a camping area but it might just be for RV's and campers. Go to the Carlisle website and info should be listed BUT be advised that they charge a nightly fee for it!!!! As for all those rip off hotels in Carlisle, anything decent (upscale) 3*+ is going to run you $200 a night. I'm quite happy with my 3.5* Hotel (Radisson Camp Hill, PA)purchased on Hotwire for $69.00. Being an older guy, comfort is important at this stage of the game.

Thanks Dennis! Looks like camping is available for the GM Nat. show but doesn't list prices or restrictions from what I can find. Supposedly they show their is "off-site" camping available right next to the fairgrounds, no details though. Are you going to be at Carlisle? If so, which car(s)? It's coming up fast!
I have the show on my schedule for this summer, it's not official yet but I'm sure looking at joining in on the fun!
I'm undecided weather I'll be taking a Fiero (if it's up and running by then) or my Sky but one way or another I'm looking forward to meeting some more Fiero People

Dead line for registration thru MAFOA is midnight May 21st. THIS DATE IS FIRM SORRY NO EXCEPTIONS! If you are a member you get a 7 dollar discount per car if you are not a member you have to pay regular price. Carlisle Events will take registrations past this date but you will not qualify for the member discount and you will not get express registration either. These guidelines were set in place by Carlisle Events so MAFOA has no control over this. With Express registration Carlisle Events will mail everything to you house and you will not have to wait in line outside the gate as in years past. Also remember that there are eight classes to enter but MAFOA will most likely reclass some cars that enter. There is a typo for the stock classes that says custom wheels are allowed. Basically if your car has custom or after market wheels on it it will be placed in the custom class. As stated in the events section here on the forum MAFOA has the option to reclass any car and the decision made will be supported by Carlisle Events. We are looking forward to see everyone there again this year!

I have a nice long list of things to do before the show. Well, not really big, but big projects. Here's what you can expect at the show: -fix temp gauge -fill in luggage rack holes AND get decklid painted -finish, or at least find a good ending point for my interior -and I decided to buy one of those Holley ram air intake
