Ill keep that in mind about the drive up. I am suddenly obsessed with trying to get mine together for the show. Gonna work from 8am tomorrow till I can't move tomorrow cleaning up and painting my rear frame. Got suspension parts on order. Cleaning up the work bench to start re gasket the motor. Its summer time and I got the bug real bad.

Well, as my luck would have it, I had a front caliper hanging up on the way home from Freysinger. I made it home, but my front right was dragging some. So it looks as though I'm going to have to buy new calipers, pads, and hoses for the front before Carlisle.

Word to the wise; because the Fiero show is only part of the huge GM show, rooms in the area are going very fast. If anyone intends to stay over book now. I just checked and those greedy hotel owners are charging top price for even the 1* fleabag places. They double and triple the prices during show days, do you believe that crap? After seeing $150 and $180 per night rates in the Carlisle area, I booked my lodging 20 miles away and got an excellent 3.5* hotel for $67.00-Radisson in Camp Hill. Found it on Hotwire.

When I used to spend Sat. night there, I always stayed in Mechanicsburg. Just one more exit out the turnpike, or about 30 min. on non-toll roads and the rooms were half the price.

I live about 45 minutes from the fairgrounds if anyone needs a place to crash. House is a bit disorganized due to some repairs atm but that should be straightened out by the time carlisle rolls around.

Mechanicsburg has climbed on the "Carlisle show rates" bandwagon; perhaps $10-20 less than around Carlisle but I don't believe that you'll see a 50% discount there anymore. Its become a popular destination for car folks. I recommend going on priceline and making a bid or using Hotwire. You can specify everything that you want (including the star rating & location)) but you won't know the hotel name until after you book. After being quoted a rate at the 1 star rated Carlisle Sleep Inn of $169.00 per night, I said bullshit and went to Hotwire where I got the 3.5 star Radisson in Camp Hill for $69.00. I tell you those hotel owners in Carlisle, they gouge you, they friggin suck.

Yep. Got one waiting for you! I was planning on bringing it to Freysinger.... but I forgot that I had other stuff going on that weekend. You're more than welcome to drop by here if youre in the area some time, and I can get it to you then! Im about 5 minutes away from Hulki-U-BFF's house!
Otherwise, see ya @ Carlisle!
I will do what I can to bring a tent to Carlisle also, like I did last year. My tent that I have it too big to fit into a Fiero, so I have to find a donar car to haul the tent! LOL

my tent's bigger! LOL!
Its a very tight fit, and I dont like to haul it. Last year my dad also drove his Pontiac Torrent, so it was easy to throw the tent in the back of that.
Gotta find a better tent that folds up smaller......
*plus, my trunk is a little bit smaller....*
