Nope, we slept on the floor. You and Tom must have done a little something something to hurt it.

Let's see - Gates open at 7am, and it's probably most of 2 hours to get to the fairgrounds. How about we plan to be ready to roll at 5am from the Starlite Diner in Fogelsville? They are 24 hours, so I will probably try to be there around 4am for breakfast, and I'll have my son along if I can get him out of bed. Let me know if this works.

All welcome to meet us there.

As long as I'm going, works for me. SS brake lines, S10 booster, and headlights are all going in this week!

you would have to leave very early in the morning to beat some of us there if i drive like a grandma i might be there in 45 minutes, and it may seem that grkboy707's fiero doesn't love him but it does it didn't wait for him to leave carlisle to seize up the brakes.

Just a little anouncement to help out a friend, Chris Hahn is going to be bringing a few short shifter's with him for sale. one of them is going into my green 86 GT and I already have one in my red 87 GT and have had it in there for close to a year now. These shifters are amoung the best i'v seen in a fiero they shift very smoothley and dont give you the feeling of driving a truck when in your sports car. he puts them at vey competitive prices+ your stock shifter. If your in the market for a short shifter talk to Chris. I can speek for them in the Getrag 5 speed and am so impressed with it im going to try one in my 4 speed. There craftsmanship is great and they hold up very niceley. up until a few month's ago my 87 was my daily driver and im a rough shifter when it comes to driving and have not felt this shifter try to giveout at all... So if you want a short shifter talk to him.
Also BOH and myself might... (MIGHT mind you all) have a little surprise for you all on sat. Im not gaurenteing anything though. (and no its nothing embarrising or imature like all of us from the short bus crew like to pull )

I would love to buy a short shifter, if my budget will allow... I'll wait till the end of the weekend, and if he hasn't sold out, and if I have $$$, I'll get me one! How much do they go for?

The 4 speed is harder on the shift then the 5 speeds. Its the gravel box shifter. You need to watch the rough shifting pk smooth, fluid coordinated motions not jam slamming like some ricer who is trying to give his hamster a stroke.

Thanks for the kind words, P-kid!
I will be bringing four shifters (one for p-kid is spoken for) to Carlisle, and the tools to install them.

THESE SHIFTERS WILL FIT ANY FIERO WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION.

I will INSTALL them for you AT the Carlisle show (if you would like me to).
Prices:
$35.00 installed - IF you allow me to take your stock shifter
$50.00 if you just want the shifter, but dont want to give your stock shifter as a core.

Anyone who is interested in one of these for me to bring to / install @ Carlisle, either post on here or p/m me, so I can set one aside for you
*It's pretty easy to find me at the show, I should be close to my Fiero (silver 87 gt, chrome 5-spoke wheels, TPI V8 motor)*

Sounds like a good deal! Go ahead and set one aside for me; it'll be like a 90% chance I'll buy one.

grkboy707 / macs86gt - I will definatly set one aside for you!
I am not good at matching PFF screen names to faces.... so, you'll have to introduce yourself! I dont bite, im nice! LOL!

As far as that goes... I have one more left if anyone wants one? Stake your claim!

Macs - dont worry about the four speed trans! I had one of these shifters in my brother's Fiero (that he used to have) and had no problem with it! .....that shifter in his Fiero was made BEFORE I knew how to weld! HAHAHA!!!

***Back on topic***

I finally got my Fiero back together. I just need to do the cleaning, and add the wire loom cover back on to cover up the wires. Then im ready for the show!

I got my balljoint situation figured out last night... This must have been a problem for a while! The "hole" where the balljoint shaft goes into, on that "knuckle" (???I dont know what the name of that peice is???) was oblong shaped, and apparently I had a bad balljoint before that wore that thing out! Weird! Never seen that before! Its a good thing that I saved a bunch of parts from a Fiero that had been wrecked over 10 years ago, so that poor dead Fiero could donate life back into another Fiero! The new knuckle part is in, all back together and tight.
