I'm glad you folks can make it, we look forward to seeing you again. Have you two been to Solvang?
We have never been, looking forward to checking it out. Looks like we are bringing the girls again, they had fun last year and this year should be better since we are right next to a park.

There is plenty to do there, or look at if you like to shop. The horse draw trolley ride, rent surrey bikes, and so on. It's a really cool place, there should be plenty for the girls to do.

Oh oh! Sounds like horse drawn trolley is on the "must do" list.

We are supposed to have a discount worked out with the trolley folks (a buck a person?). They say they give a lot of info during the ride, such as history and things to see.
The start/end point of their tour is right next to our show location

Just got word that the Hotel was sold out of our block of 25 rooms but might still have rooms available that they will give at our discounted rate. Last heard they only had 4 rooms left in the hotel for our weekend so anyone who wants to stay in our hotel and get our discounted rate needs to call now!
There are other hotels nearby, Motel 6, not as nice, doesn't have a pool and will accept pets is one that comes to mind. We stayed there when scouting things out for the event. They didn't have a nice parking lot for Westfest or a place to hold meetings but would not be bad to sleep if you need a room for the night.
Max and I will be there for Saturday. We're trying to drag Kaleen along, too... hehe.
We're centering our summer road trip around Westfest... the Wednesday before we're heading to Vegas, so when we arrive in Buellton we'll either be crazy rich, or crazy broke! :P
Going to call around for a hotel in the area for Friday night tomorrow.

Ok, so do I need to pre-register for the show, or just show up?
It's up to you, but it really helps us if you pre-register. I should have the forms put up on the net for downloading soon. I'll also be mailing them out in snail mail.

I have (finally) finished the forms. They're being copied right now. I also want to put them on the web, so you can download, print and send them. This will save Westfest some printing and postage money. I'll post when the forms are available for download.
I'd like to ask that everyone email your snail mail address, so we can check our records and add new people. We often send the forms and info on Westfest through the mail. Send the mail to Mary: msbear@pacbell.net

Registration forms are going out in the mail in the next couple of days to the folks that we don't have emails for. I hope to have downloadable forms on the Westfest website by the end of the weekend. I'm trying to save Westfest's bank account the cost of printing and mailing forms to everyone, so I hope you'll be able to download and print your own sign up sheets soon.

The Bear is still working on the construction of the page. The PDF format is working best to print documents. Please go to the website, download your documents and send in your registration forms.
Those that I do not have an email for will be getting their copies in the mail and we will have some copies at the meeting on Tuesday.
Would like to get 5. Anyone interested who is not showing thier car? I already have someone who volunterred from GGF. I would like to get other clubs to submit volunteers that way we can keep our judges not to be too partail to any club. Anyone from West Coast Fieros? Reno? CV FOG? Las Vegas? San Diego? Arizona? Sacramento? We have a lot of clubs out there that could be offering us a judge!
Thanks
Mary

Keep them coming. I will be needing to let the restaurante know how many will be in attendance so please get those registrations in ASAP! If you don't want to send your check in the mail, at least send in the form so we can reserve your space and know how many people will be in attendance.

Marie and I will be visiting during the day on Saturday but this falls on the same weekend as her high school reunion so we'll have to leave mid-afternoon.

I've heard of two rooms that have come available at the Hotel. Chris West made a reservation for his daughter and wife but they will not be attending. Maddy is going to be in a play that weekend so the star will not be able to attend our event. Contact Chris about that reseveration or the Hotel soon as it could be a available with them.
Another member in our club, Deb Leavitt made a reservation but decided to bunk, and share a room with another member. Her room is now available. Contact her to make arrangements.
If you have any questions on how to reach either of these fine Fiero owners let me know.
Good news!! I've got my 5 judges now! We are ready to have a wonderful car show! Get your registration forms in!

I hope we talk when we are in Solvang. My wife also makes Aebleskivers. Is you mom Danish? I said earlier, in the post above, my wife's Danish. She'll be there too. What kind of Fiero do you have? I'll look for you...
Cordially, Kevin
