That looks like Tim Toy's old black coupe..... This car has HID's as I recall and they were pretty bright!
Kit
Good eye, Kit. Yeah, it's Tim's old car and it does have HIDs. I haven't even touched it since we got it home so I haven't found out all it has yet. Spring is here! Gotta get the boat ready for the water this weekend!

I know i won't win "best fiero" but i'd still like to go to check out everyone elses and talk. When would be a good time to show up on saturday?

i meant paying to stay at the hotel/motel. i'd rather just drive and meet everyone. This is awesome! i've never been to a fiero meet before. O man...i don't know how i'm gonna sell this to the girlfriend. She hates my car as it is ha ha. Mostly due to the maintenence, restoration, time it takes away from her, the money and the list goes on and on. I think she will have fun though. Better finish my interior color change. I've got half black half gray doors and gray headliner with bubbles. Hopefully i won't be the worst fiero there. Better start on getting the car in top shape! keep in touch guys and thanks for the invite.

We thought about just driving up from Ventura on Saturday morning as well. I doubt we will enter into the show anyway so no need to be there all that early.

1. Tell you girlfriend she can wander around Solvang. The show is right in the town. Show her the pictures on the last page.
2. Don't worry about how your Fiero looks. You don't have to enter it in the show, just show up and have a nice time.

I will have a list of restaurants for people to go to lunch. I'll try to include bakeries. There are some really good ones, all within a couple of blocks of the show location. Oh, and tell her she has to try Aebelskiver for breakfast!

I will be there!!! I don't know if my Fiero will however. Made reservations yesterday. My wife should cook some Aebelskiver. They are delicious. I eat them all the time. My wife is Danish. Oh dear, I hope the town is big enough for another Dane!!!

Jess...shame on you... trying to get the competition not to sign up in the car show? The Judging for the show usually will start about sometime about 10am. We will have the field open with cars parking and contestants shining thier vehicles starting about 8am. As long as you arrive before the judging starts then you can have your car judged as part of the show.
We are looking for Judges....Anyone interested? We need 5 volunteers who do not have their cars in the show.
We also are needing an emcee for the banquet. Todd you did a wonderful job last year. Wanna do it again?

Thanks Todd. Looking forward to another great entertaining evening.
Still need those judges. Its going to be harder to get those volunteers this time when everyone would rather be out touring Solvang rather than judging cars. Anybody have any recommendations?

Fellas, Just curious, how many Fiero's do you (guess) think will be there? Perhaps a prize can be awarded for the one who gets the exact number. Perhaps we can donate $5.00 for a guess. Maybe the winner gets a trophy. Maybe the rest of the money can go to towards a group barbeque, a luncheon or some kinda Fiero goodie. Any other thoughts within this realm?

What is required to be a judge ,how much time ? I would consider being a judge if you will have it.
The judges need to be there from about 9:30 am to judge the cars until they are finished. Usually we are finished around 3pm. Then we have to tally the sheets for the final award banquet. It is nice when the judges are still there to help if there are any questions regarding what they put on their sheets.
I would like to get someone from every area and club represented in our judging to keep everything fair. Requirements to be a judge would be not to have your Fiero in the car show, to have a love of Fieros and enough time to help us judge the show.
If you are available let me know.

Actually, there is another option: A judge could enter their Fiero in the show but when it is being judged they simply do not grade their own car. In this case, their score would be based using the criteria of one less judge. For example, if there are 4 judges which includes the judge who entered their car, they simply divide the score ratings by 3 rather than 4 for his car.
This is what we did last year and I won 1st place in my class. (though I was a judge)

If you are interested in judging please send me a personal email with your personal phone and address so I can get in touch with you for arrangments. I want to be able to send the judges a copy of the judging sheets so they can review it ahead of time so they will know what they will be doing.
Anyone local to Solvang that wants to solict the local merchants for donations, items for our raffle, discounts for our Fiero Family while they are at the show ...etc it would be greatly appreciated. While John and I were in Solvang I was only able to visit a few merchants and gat a few discounts for our Fiero Family while the show will be going on.
Thank you everyone for your help making this show the greatest.

Called the Hotel. If you haven't made your reservation and you are wanting to go please make your reservations now to get the reduced rates. They only have 6 rooms available in our reserved block of rooms.
We have as an average of 50 Fieros at every show, not all in the show. Some were for display only or just visiting. We try to make sure we have parking for 50 Fieros at every show. We have more than 50 spaces available in Solvang and I hope we are going to run out of parking!!

What are the trophey classes? Maybe a "replica" class? I see where there are about 3-5 replicas that attend these fiero shows. Or like Custom/stock/ect. classes?
If there are classes...where do I sign up to enter in my class.

I would be interested in being a judge. I have 2 fieros that i have owned for over 13 and 15 years respectively. I have been in many different car club competitions and have judged shows in illinois and wisconson. I am a member of NIFE and recently moved to the central coast via hawaii because my wife got out of the mil. Let me know if you need some help. I am in grover beach.

I would love to have you show your cars, but if you aren't then you have a job as one of our judges. Send me an email to msbear@pacbell.net with your info.
We will be sending out registration packages soon to everyone in my database. If you have changed your email or mailing information please let me know so I can update my records. If you want to be added to the listings let me know too! Would like to have Name, Address, Email and Phones (in case your info changes and we need to contact to get updates). Mary

I stand corrected - I thought we dropped the "kit car" category last year. We didn't, so we will have a kit car/rebody category this year.
