Installed my new Harmonic balancer. It is possible to swing the cradle down far enough with a V8 to change it.

Robert's Fiero shifter bracket in his Formula broke. He ordered a replacement from The Fiero Factory but had no idea how to install it. I went to his house after his car had been sitting for 3 months and it was disassembled, interior wise. Long story short, we assessed where the car was at and laid out all the bits on the lawn and went to town. 3 hours later I had it all back together. We charged the battery overnight on a 6 amp trickle and it fired right up next morning. I am happy to report that he is out driving is Formula every day again!

Spending the day cleaning K&N filters in bothe Fieros. Installed the heater control box back into the center console, but I still need to re attatch the flapper cable. A PITA to get my fat hands to screw in the screw to the anchor position.

Shocks, struts, bushings, balljoints, tie-rods, rear brake callipers, front and rear wheel bearings, coolant hoses, not sure if I missed anything. Everytime I took one thing off, I found another thing that needed replacing. Here's a picture of a pile of 26 year old (yes, except for the front shocks, everything there was original from the factory).

Why did you use bolts and not rivets? I think rivets would have been cheaper and lighter. But, that just means I am probably wrong.

Xyster -- I have never seen anyone here do it with rivets ... must be a reason ... probably rivets are small and will not hold the two parts firmly because it really needs strength.... when I fill the seam in with SMC filler it REALLY needs NOT to move at all. Can anyone else chime in on this ... I may be wrong ??? THX

I ordered a used electronic mirror switch from the Fiero Factory. I can not figure out why the oil idiot light in the aux guage pod doesn't come on when the key is on. I swapped out new bulbs, cleaned the shiny circuit, new bulb sockets nada, the guage works. It worked before I took it out. I installed an old guage pod and neither of the idiot lights come on. ?? Does anyone have any ideas??

Took the Coupe to get gas, left the gas station a little heavy footed - got a little tire smoke / sideways action then it started running bad? Got home and found that the Dizzy was loose? Retimed, cranked the Disszy down tight - still not running right! Maybe I burnt a plug wire? I'll hunt it down in the morning. I think I'll start calling this car "The Sidewinder"...............
