I got it out and drove the snot out of it before the snow hit, figured I would drive west untill my destination the mall or turn around if it hit before I got there. Had time to shop and got outside just as it started to flurry, headed back east on the interstae and out ran the front. It sure felt good to appease my addiction

Got the 4.9 mounted to the cradle for the XTC swap, argued with the code compliance nazis and took the V8 Coupe for a spin around the backyard. Thought about Tyler a lot today!

I added a little more width to my driveway so I can get the Fiero in and out of the garage without moving 1 or 2 other cars.

Well,........ back in the day anyway.. It really danced

The head unit is a Sony CDX-C680.

Strapped her down for a day of dyno tuning at my school. Spent just enough time to discover just how bad my clutch is slipping... took her back off and am now mad that I have to buy a new clutch!

What are the best? I want to hold 350 ft lbs of torque and maybe 300 HP

Fixed the gas leak again. Wasn't really loose, but was leaking slightly through the feed line. Pulled it apart, new tape on the threads and tightened as tight as I could get it. Shouldn't be any problems. The engine is moving a fair bit under load though, so I'll be watching it closely to see if it gets pulled loose again. Gotta try to be light on the throttle. :-/

Cleaned the windows, some Armor-All in the interior, and a quick cleaning with spray wax on the body... Then drove it to the VA Fieros meeting. And ordered a new steering wheel this morning on eBay. New Malibu/Colbalt/etc... style with cruise and audio controls, and wrapped in black leather. Need to find a new horn button though, but should be able to install it next week when I get it.

Getting the car ready for the Tyler gathering in July. Installed the new dew wipes and test fitted the door panels. Also ripped out the interior, put new black carpet in as well as black carpet on the rear panel behind the seats.

I replaced a worn out parking brake handle and parking brake release springs on the calipers. Now that everything functions, it's just a matter of getting it adjusted so I can pass inspection. It seems to grab "ok" on the left rear wheel, but it's not doing much at all with the right.

Washed it, then took her for a long shake down drive. Drove for almost three hours at highway, and stop and go city traffic. She's been hibernating for what seems like forever. I want to get some road time on her before driving to Daytona next month.

It was a blast. I got compliments everywhere I stopped.

Aside from driving her today, I did a little paint modding. First up, the plastic gauge surround was cracked around one of the torx screws, and otherwise ugly. I had another I got a while back, but never put on, to replace it. I finally got around to painting it, and putting it in today.

I also wanted to experiment with painting the LS2 intake that will be going on my LS4 swap this spring. I don't have the engine and everything yet, but the intake is sitting in my garage waiting for a nice big V8 to sit on top of. Anyway, I noticed most people just paint the coil covers, except for troyboy, who seems to have had the coil covers and intake all painted chrome. I decided to go my own route with a scheme fitting for replacing the stock 2.8 in the Fiero...

It still needs a little trimming in a couple of areas where I couldn't get the masking perfect, and there are a couple of spots where the paint didn't grab well that need retouched, but it's a good start. I think it's going to look awesome once I get the LS4 swap done.
