• It’s my car, my choice, my freedom. • The effectiveness of winter tires is not proven, except by studies carried out by the manufacturers (like I’m supposed to trust them). • My neighbor Bob had an accident even after putting on winter tires. • Some drivers are already on their 3rd set of tires, which proves their ineffectiveness. • We do not know what the tires are made of. • The tire manufacturers scare us with winter just to enrich themselves. • In fact, I read on the internet that the tire giants invented snow and spread it at night when you sleep. • If I have winter tires, the government can track me in the snow.
Educate yourself, open your eyes, stop being sheep!
This year, I say no to winter tires!
No, I didn't write this, but it's great!

Why is it the people who say "my body, my choice" also want people to be forced into vaccinations? It doesn't seem they get the hypocrisy.

Read today that there's a class action suit filed against the organizers for around $10M.
Also heard that Ottawa is declaring a State of Emergency to deal with the Protestor's actions.
Someone closer to the situation should probably verify that. I don't buy from subscription sites.

So much for the fuel tactic (LOVE IT !! The cops can eff right off)

Why would I bother.? That would be way over your head.
Patrick, you may not like how I say things, but they aren't personal attacks on you. They are very functional thoughts and questions. I have not said anything that you couldn't reply to with a counter argument....meaning that you have an opinion and I do as well. You just seem to think yours is the only one. Yours isn't the only opinion, it is just one of many. This is exactly what I was talking about when I said wake up. The mandates are wrong and the truckers are doing the only thing left in dealing with a tyrannical government. A peaceful protest, unlike the burning, looting and murdering strategies used by antifa and blm.
Rick, it doesn't bother me how you say things. But you seem to think that people are obligated to respond to you. It doesn't necessarily work that way here... or anywhere else (except maybe in court). I can express an opinion. You can express an opinion. Sometimes that's it, there's nothing more to be said. I don't need to be cross-examined by you. Just let it go.

Can you imagine having to tolerate that racket over the course of several hours/days?
I've noticed on Twitter, etc... that people who are upset about this particular protest going on, are more concerned about the negative effect it's having on Trudeau's decline in popularity, and far less about anything to do with COVID.
In short, they fear this is making Trudeau look bad, and is gaining popularity for the opposition party.
You've really tapped into the nation's pulse there, Todd.
I will just say... I sure hope it isn't.
Twitter as a representation of the world, is totally f**ked up. But that said, it's people who feel free to say what they want... without having to face someone directly. So in some respects, it's very much what a lot of people are thinking... unfortunately. It's just a cess pool. I wonder how humanity has learned to deal with social media 20 years from now.

The power to stop it in an instant is in jt's writing pen. He doesn't want to stop it. This is is a TOTALLY tangible goal, stop the mandates, life goes back to normal. Unlike the burning, looting and murdering from blm who have an unrealistic goal of ending a mythical racist system or the antifa fighting a mythical fascist government. The noise and trouble they stirr up in the name of an unattainable goal is monumental compared to a traffic jamb and honking horns.
The squeaky wheel may get the grease... but doesn't mean to say that a noisy mob gets to control government, not in a civilized country anyway. These guys can try and get what they want at the next federal election. They had their chance just four months ago, but obviously the majority of the Canadian public had other aspirations.
, but obviously the majority of the Canadian public had other aspirations.
As one of those Proud Infidels on a fringe with unacceptable views....let me clue you in to something...
We dont give a CRAP about the commie-leftie-minorities (he does have a minority government) "aspirations" The MAJORITY voted against him, but split that majority in such a way that there was no majority winner.
We give a crap about defending OUR legal, constitutional, civil and human rights.
If the commies want rights ? They have the right to shut up. They have the right to go away. If they fail to exercise their rights, they have the right to us doing it for them.

Always an excuse. Rally your troop of misfits MEM, and take over the country.
What's really sad is on Twitter (Dumpster Fire) the Left is posting that A: Antifa doesn't exist. B: Antifa is only a social construct and therefore not real. C: Antifa knew this guy was a pedo in 2008, and didn't let him join because of it. D: There is nowhere to sign up for Antifa, so it doesn't exist. E: Antifa isn't bad, it's the Proud Boys that are bad. F: Antifa are the real Patriots and will destroy all the truckers. Most from the same people.
But people like Rogan are spreading misinformation.

Not "theLeft." Because there is no singular or monolithic "Left". And to talk in that way is as tiresome and ridiculous as it would be for me to disparage some Republican officeholder that "Fats" likes (if there are any) because of the demented ravings that appear online, on certain online message boards or forums (including this one), from members who loudly proclaim themselves as "Conservative" or "Right [of the aisle]" or "NOT Left" or "anti-Left" as they recklessly disparage anyone that they perceive as outside the boundaries of their particular "Venn diagram circle."
It's reasonable to think of the people on Twitter that "Fats" singles out here, for their Antifa-related remarks, as Leftists, or Left-leaning, in terms of the old Left-Right terminology. I expect most, if not all of these voices on Twitter would say that about themselves. But they don't speak for everyone in the political and cultural spectrum that runs from just Left of center, and further to the Left to liberal, and then progressive, and even beyond that, to the radical Left and the true Marxist sympathizers and activists. That's a song that some Pennock's forum member(s) never stop singing, but why would anyone--other than those particular Pennock's forum member(s)--be stupid enough to believe it?
I don't think that Joe Rogan has been deplatformed by Twitter, or any of the other social media entities(?) So he's still on an equal footing, in terms of access or platforming, with these Antifa sympathizers (or apologists, or deniers... "what have you.")

They are likely to get what they want before then. Actually they are likely to get what they want before the horns stop honking. And rightfully so, the mandates are wrong and sense you mentioned (after I have) the election hadn't seen the worst of the mandates or the hypocrisy of the government. The voters haven't seen how bad the government was at the time of the election. The situation evolved and is now in a different phase.

So now you're an expert on Canadian politics? I'm impressed. However, I'd just like to again point out that the federal election here was four months ago... not four years ago.

I never said I was am expert and I did mention that the election was held recently. The squeaky wheels in America aren't any different than those in Canada, it's just human nature. All I did was point it out. People had enough of the mandates. The Canadian Government is the one that is wrong this time, steeling fuel from truckers and threatening them with police and or military actions. Then threatening ANYONE who assists them,........ This is all bad for jt.
I remember the days when Jacques Villeneuve was Chancellor of the Canadian Republic, and he raced right to the election with Tim Horton as his Vice Chancellor.
I'm a little rusty now... and I don't get the time to spend on the Twitters like I used to, but this new guy just doesn't do it for me.

He doesn't have to. Like all large protests, the tide will turn against the protestors. The people that DGAF about people whining for/against vaccines will get irritated with whoever directly interferes with their day, not the reason for the interference.
Everyone seems to forget that the middle still exists because they're in their little echo chambers drumming each other up.

There are very few of the DGAF left here. A few retired shut-in's. NOBODY left unaffected by the mandates.
The feds and provincials governments have spent the past year gradually imposing more and more social restrictions, then a few months ago started going sector-by-sector and mandating the jab to stay employed.
No jab, No job. No job, no money. No money, no home. No home, no food.
THATS what we are fighting against. It's not a vaccine against a virus, it's a shot against unemployment and homelessness. Basically, a fight for survival for millions here.

That's what your echo chamber thinks. How many trucks are we talking here, 10, 20, 50,000. Still a drop in the bucket.
People roll over for that sweet government money all day, everyday. Canada or US, we ain't that different in that respect. Getting a shot to get it, whether direct or indirect, is a part of doing business.
Unless you believe the shot is gonna give you microchip super aids or something stupid.

Another Province ends mandates. Saskatchewan is done. The Truckers win a big one. When jt comes out from hiding he is going to have to answer to his lies about the Truckers being racists along with ending the mandates.
After all these years, we finally have a Canadian topic in O/T that our American friends can sink their teeth into. I think it's great. Next we'll be discussing our favorite sport!
