Except in this case, the "6-year-old" outsmarted the truckers. The truckers want to block traffic... fine, two can play at that game. Downtown Vancouver is basically surrounded by water on three sides, so there's only a limited number of ways to get there. The access routes to downtown were therefore being cut off to large trucks by the cyclists. The general public has learned a lesson from the Ottawa experience... don't let the anarchists gain a foothold!

What they deserve is a group of mostly peaceful truckers to kindly escort them aside so the trucks can go about their business. The bikes can become cobble stones. Then the truckers should get an award for road construction improvements.

With our election system, there IS no vote for P-M.
You vote for a party in your own riding (a seat), and whichever party gets the most seats is the government, the leader of the *whoever* party is automatically P-M.
The PROBLEM is, seats are based on population density alone. SO, you end up with big-city-student-liberal areas getting say *20 seats* to vote on, while thinner population-density areas (like here) get 1, or 2 at most.
It's a case of heavily-liberal big cities in Ontario and Quebec are dictating to the entire country, excluding small town, the west and rural areas. Last election we had ONE seat for 3 counties (about 400,000 total population) while Toronto had 20 or something stupid (dont remember the exact number). The system is HEAVILY biased toward 5 or 6 major population centers who have issues people outside those areas simply dont and dont care about, and have no intention of dealing with.

Yah, sure "terrorists"? America has been using this strategy for years, we just say "racists" in place of "terrorists". But hey, we use that word too..... we just don't use those words in actual cases of terrorism or racism, that would be "politically incorrect".

Now come on. We all know that if he was of a certain religious group, racial group, or Political group that he would just get a slap on the wrist and released in most parts of this country.
That's how I felt this morning when a bunch of large trucks came down my street on their way to a gathering in downtown Vancouver... and the first truck I saw was flying an American flag. Only convinces me more that there are outside influences in place.

Not sure why you would think or imply (as this post demonstrates) that people who have been vaccinated wouldn't or shouldn't protest mandates? How about the people that were forced to vaccinate against their will, don't you think they are even more inclined to protest? People who brag about vaccination rates that are forcing it on others is pretty pathetic, they should expect the victims to speak out or even act out. But when the victims do speak out or act out, the forcers are shocked and repulsed, truly bizarre world we live in now days.

For about 6-9 months now the governments (and corporations) have been using every strong-arm tactic in the book to force the vax.
People are being held hostage with jobs, social gatherings, banking, travel, there was even talk of drivers licences (THAT was short-lived).
We are gearing up to move (will get word tomorrow or tuesday if this one is a go) but even housing has become a "vax" issue. I personally had it out with my property manager here over it last month and flat out told him if he ever bothered me again he would be leaving in an ambulance....This house is a duplex and people don't want to rent the other unit with us unvaxxed apparently (that was his excuse anyway)

All the government has to do is rescind the vaccine mandate.
A mandate which, at this point, does little to nothing at all.

Well, they might want to consider leaving before the fuel gets cut off. I'm surprised it took this long for the folks in charge to figure that out but they did.
Read today that there's a class action suit filed against the organizers for around $10M.
Also heard that Ottawa is declaring a State of Emergency to deal with the Protestor's actions.
Someone closer to the situation should probably verify that. I don't buy from subscription sites.
Been watching some interesting live feeds from the area, I wonder how they are they gonna get fuel to stay warm (police confiscated their gas cans)
Somewhere in this thread someone said something about tow trucks. If, the protestors don't get fuel, those tow trucks may get called anyway. It's a long walk home and those trucks are too darn heavy to push.
Gosh, seems like someone mentioned how using the time, effort and money this is taking to protest could have been much better utilized by supporting a different set of leaders. Someone said something about that and how denying the rights of everyone else to use those roads............ Oh well, I can't remember who that was. Oh Well.
