I love my B12S... I kind of bought it on a "whim" a few years ago - popped up on craigslist with the side Givi's for a cheap price. Test rode it (with my wife) - and even she loved it. Bought it, sold my Kat 750 the next week... and haven't looked back since! When asked what I'd replace it with - my only thoughts are a newer B1250S ...or a BMW if I could afford it
Lurker - for mileage: I used to average 45-50mpg with my Kat 750. My Bandit (with a few mods) averages closer to 40mpg if I'm nice to it (if I'm riding hard it's closer to 35mpg).
Spektrum - A Suzuki TL painted Kawi Green? Are you just messin' with people?! LOL

Bought mine brand new in 01 for $6,500. Been a great bike & surprise alot of people that TRY to pass or out run me. When I was looking at bikes I was focusing on either a 600cc or 750cc bike. I saw a 1200s bandit off in the corner of the showroom & found out they also had a "naked" version, then I was told the price. SOLD!
just curious. what sort of gas mileage do these bikes get? i realize that mpg is not always the primary goal, and sometimes we like to mash on the gas a lot. my '75 h1 got about 50mpg, and about 1000gpg (grins per gallon)
My '95 Kat 750 is around 46 average this year, which is down a bit from my average last year, but this year's riding is a much more even split between backroad and highway riding, last year's was about 85% highway.
Still over double what my truck gets....which is a big part of why the truck is usually parked 4-6 days a week....

me and my dog taking off for a ride on my 06 vtx 1300. thing runs really well and fit me realy well to. this one the bike is realy dirty. it is the day my parents brought it home to me and it was pouring down rain and living on a dirt road sucks.
within 4 days after getting it i put on 1500 miles. now i am up to 2000.

They vary widely. It also depends on how aggressive you ride.
My 500R gets ~60mpg but can get up to 70 if I behave. My TL1000S gets ~35mpg and my DR-400Z gets around 45mpg(in stock trim it was around 55mpg)
Most 600cc-1000cc sportbikes get ~40mpg. My dad's Honda Shadow 750(cruiser) gets ~50mpg.
I would say MinnGreenGT is probably pretty accurate there. My Intruder hits around 50mpg with an 800cc V-twin. I think I could get more if I would stay off the gas a little...but what fun would that be?
I've had 2 mid-'70s Honda CB750/4s in the past and both of them got at least in the mid 30s mpg. Those bikes were heavy, too. You guys need to stay off the gas. I've had a bunch of bikes in my life. My first was an old 100cc Yamaha enduro I bought for $100. The last one I had was a nice 700cc Suzuki Intruder. I really spent some money on that. Drag pipes, forward controls, drag bars, LED lights, aftermarket mirrors, rejetted the carbs, etc. The ex gave that one away to her ex husband. (Figure that one out.) The sportiest bike I ever had was an '82 Suzuki GS 1100E. (Sort of a cross between a naked sport bike and a muscle bike.) That thing had TONS of power. The nicest bikes I've had were all Gold Wings. (I've had 3. '82 Standard (naked), '82 Aspencade & '87 SEi.) Anyone have an '80s 750cc or larger bike they want to sell dirt cheap? Doesn't have to look good. (Had to ask. )
My first bike a 1975 Kawasaki KZ400....Just sold it today, and I miss it already. Another one, just a few years old. This is my new bike a 1989 BMW K75....I wanted more of a sports bike, but this one was to good of a deal to pass up
That is a bas a$s looking Honda! I like it with its skin on.
Thank you! It been a lot of work but its getting there. This is what it look like last month when I bought it. What you see I what I got. It was missing a ton and badly damaged, note the broken rear wheel and broken tail frame. On the good side its a clean title with only 1,200 mile and now it runs and rides great!

Not to play mom, but if you're going to be stunting you should probably wear a bit more gear than just helmet and gloves.

My new grocery hauler a green 08 Kawasaki KLR (not mine this pic is from KLR.net.) Mine looks just like this one--the fastest ones are green machines. I love the look, it's a great riding bike. Does 18's in the quarter mile
Btw, Chris, cute girl. I agree with the previous post, tho. Scars and lost appendages aren't chick magnets. Get some protective gear on!

AHHH i don't stunt much at all, Im working on the plastic protective gear, all i have now is a leather jacket, helmet, boots and gloves. I really want a chest and spine protector. Kinda sucks wearing leather in 90 degree weather.

You hit that right on the DOT!
I cant tell you how many times ive said "woman.... go put some shoes on."
Heres my 1989 Honda CBR 250R. Imported from China.
Pretty fun bike to ride with a 18k redline honda inline 4, makes about 46 HP not too bad for a 250. Plan on keeping it for a couple years and get a newer 600 in the future.
Here's my 1978 Honda Hobbit. I only recently got it running properly and my top speed is 33mph. I'm going to spruce it up a bit once I find a job and am able to afford to buy things for it but mostly it will stay stock except for a pipe which will probably get up to 40mph.
AHH I WANT ONE!!!! Seems like when i was a little kid these things would sell for 30 bucks all day long, now with gas prices like they are the price has just skyrocketed!

You might pickup a textile jacket, they breathe so much better than leather ones. I'm in Oklahoma and this time of year its 95+, and I ride nearly everyday. I actually sweat less in on my bike than I do in my car.
My first one... 1998 Suzuki Marauder. This photo is about 3 years old. Exhaust, paint, and seats have changed since then. Rode her since new in '98 until the itch for something bigger (in both ability and ergonomics) became impossible to ignore.
Current ride... 2001 Yamaha Roadstar Warrior. This one's a crappy dealer photo from just before I brought her home last fall. I haven't managed to keep her clean enough so far this season to take any better photos.
Don't have one right now, but my last bike was a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 that I bought new. I sold it in 2004, as I just didn't have time to ride anymore. Shaft drive, liquid cooled, double discs up front, and classic cruiser styling. Loved it.
Not to get too off topic, but how much are you asking?
I want $10,000 for it, it's an 89 completely stock (have original alum wheels - excellent condition - that go with the car), it's considered to be a "Class 2 Show Car", not perfect, but pretty darn close. It's a Classic and prices are starting to rise slowly on them.
Back on topic, the ZX7 and the Marauder are up for sale as well. I want $5,000 for the Ninja (4,976 miles - excellent condition - with choice performance parts). $5,000 for the Marauder (3,290 miles - excellent condition - piped and jetted).
Anyone having any interest, please pm me.
