I like the stuff you guys can do! All of it looks great!

couple things, Black shirts "look" cool.....but standing around in TX heat with them NOT cool as in HOT (we could still have them ) I vote for a white or other color

Hats ..great! Should we add the name under the logo?

Like the filled in fiero make that flag "pop out" darken it up.

The nice thing if we use a place like cafepress we can each pick our own colors in the order.

Maybe just add Bat City above the emblem. That way the Fiero in the emblem would add that part in?

personally I like the simplicity of just the logo on the hats.... it's such a small area, it get's really busy really fast ( I have found this out while designing some hats for my DJ company)
put me in the camp that thinks not everything has to be spelled out.... that ID from image can be a good thing (think Nike and swoosh)

but I'll see what I can come up with... the logo will definitely have to shrink.

can do this...
but note - the color's / shades of red and blue I used are the "official" Texas flag colors.
I tapped them directly from a real Texas flag to match up the colors exactly,

also...
regarding the "burnout'

keep in mind that what you guys are seeing above is a greatly reduced version of the picture.

here are details of that area - you can also see the difference between the gray and white shadowing better here in the larger than life... but - a bit closer to print size- detail.
Gray shadowing:

the white shadowing (note, I still have some clean up to do on this version)

Oh and I like no shadow

Let's pick 3 of each for a final email vote! I am ready for new wardrobe

Hey guys,
I'm glad to hear your starting a new Fiero Club in Austin. This will give me a chance to visit there now. I did a small graphic on photo shop. I like the idea of having meetings every other month, and do a drive afterwards. I'll be back in San Antonio, August sometime.

Shaun,
We welcome all to come visit the club and have a drive with us! Next meeting is Aug 13th. back by then?
We have two other military guys in the club one is there now and the other leaves here soon. So you are in good hands .
Don't forget, there IS a S.A. club there . AAFO ( alamo area Fiero O ) I forgot what the "O" stood for...

The shirt ind logo info will be going out tonight(hopefully) all on the Email list. Ya'll need to make some decisions about what we want on the shirts, hats, bussiness cards, etc.

Not a member? Just send me a PM ....

"Owners" Revin--the 'O' stands for Owners.

A bit early I guess, but I'll ask anyway.
Can we expect you guys/gals to soon pick out and announce a time slot for an annual Batevent??

Roundup is Aprl or May. And Spring Fling for NTFC has it's niche carved out --and Ruckus is always in Oct. And, Houston has their get together on the 12th of _ _ _ _ _ ....

I expect something no less than spectacular out of the Capitol of Texas. (naw--no pressure--not a bit)
Just jerking your chain, but if,
Let us know when your group decides so we can put ya on our calendar please.

Paul,
Yea I was going to but I had a change of heart. I like these little mid-engine beasts. How are things in Florida? I got modilized in Feb, for a DOMEX tour in VBC, Iraq. I should be coming back mid month August. You still have the two Fieros's, I heard you bought that Hard-Top Solstice that was on the Gunn lot around the corner. Get back with me.

Nah--not a challenge, (certainly not my place to get in you guys' business at ALL) just "puttin a bug in your ear" regarding something you might want to think about--there are some blank time periods in the Texas area Fiero events calander that could be filled by a new club if they wished to.

Even IF I get AC this time round What about the cooler months? Feb March Nov Dec? All of that falls under holidays or close to other events, so getting everyone on that same page will be a huge deal.

We just are getting started on this club. We had a great turnout at the 1st meet. Driving and fun to come!

I think we will take a cruise at the next meet, sort of like a mini round up or Ruckus. we want to drive at the meetings, so I think the meetings will be meet somewhere in Austin, take a nice drive somewhere, stop and eat and have meeting, then drive home after that.
So we could end up in Wimberley or Fredickburg, heck maybe even Aggie land

And each meeting will bring us to a different area n,s,e,w of the city so no one will ever say the meeting is too close to me or in same place. Exciting and new is a parts of this club

The olive branch is out there for ALL my Texas (and out of state) friends (and enemies) to come join any of the meetings/cruises. at any time!

this is a great idea, and sounds like it has a lot of potential. May even revolutionize the 'club' meeting concept.

Congrats BCF! Also, really nice job on the innovative artwork. I really like the batwing Pegasus.

congrats revin on being voted as helmsman. I've been on more than one boat you have captained and always had a good ride.

Shaun,

I am glad you changed your mind; I know I would regret selling mine later on. I sold my 85GT to my brother.

I bought the Solstice Coupe from Gunn and it’s a pretty cool car and gets a lot of looks wherever it goes. My 88GT is currently at Whodeanie’s Customs getting a chop top, wide body and 3800SC install.

We are about to PCS in August and will be much closer to Texas… yeehaw!!! I will be bring the coupe to the Ruckus in October, hope to see you there.

Paul

I think I will use my powers as your club president, to envolk YOU as the offical facebook rep./administrator for the whole club!
IF anyone gets on there you can provide the club information to the people of facebook! Wonder if that means more members will come to meetings?

Did everyone get the email with the shirt info??

I got the email but I'm at work so I haven't had time to respond. (I'm on lunch now but about to go to a meeting,) but when I get home I'll send you the info.

Did you mention how much the shirts will be? The limit for me is probably $15 or $20.

the quote for the per shirt is dependent on the over all amount of shirts ordered... there's a break point discount that kicks in at a dozen.

a single sided print on basic tshirt with an order of 12 or more... ran me between 8.00 and 9.00 with 2X and 3X a couple of dollars more.
this however is a double-sided print (front/back) so it will be a bit more... (about 1.00 - 2.00 more)

these are not screen printed (which cost a lot more with the screen setup, which is a method that is better suited for large numbers of shirts 9like a couple of hundred)

these are printed in a method called sublimation...which still looks good but is a cheaper path -
after talking with the printer, she says that dark colored shirts (like black) will cost about 4-5 dollars more than light colored ones like white and yellow.

the reason that is, a black shirt would have to have and extra printing of a white base... a a white negative of the image printed first, and then the image printed on top of that., otherwise the image would not show up on the dark shirt.

so, keep that in mind when ordering your colors.

Sublimation works well for printing on black shirts, and lasts a long time. When we were promoting my comic book a few years ago, we ordered a number of different designs and color combinations, some examples of which I've worn every week for years with only minimal fade. CafePress and VistaPrint both offer this type of printing technology for cheap, though it sounds like you already have a supplier. Someone local, perhaps?

Anybody want to enter a car show?
I`m thinking about going down to one of these car shows this weekend.
The first is tomorrow at JT`s Sports Grille & Billiards in Cedar Park from 11AM-5PM
The second is at Austin Park & Pizza on Sunday in Pflugerville from noon-5PM.

edit: Now that I read a little further I think the one in Pflugerville may be the best one, but hey I`m up for either.

I would go but I already made plans to go to Dallas this weekend. Plus still need to figure out the charging issue with the 84.
