you are going to need about 10-15% more fuel at idle and cruise, and about 40% more fuel at WOT, with a nice ramp in between. I am now running an external fuel pump as I sumped my fuel tank. I have a fuelab 41401 pump with 1/2" aluminum lines. I also have -8 an on everything and 120#/hr fuel injectors. A walbro 255 will work for up to about 320 wheel hp. The debate is out on whether ethanol affects rubber lines. Some people run it and don't have problems, some advocate that it will deteriorate it over time. Best bet is to make stainless or aluminum lines.

Cool!

If possible could you keep me updated when you do this?

BTW~ The Fiero looks great and sounds like it will get what you estimate.

You also need to cut almost a full second off your best ET. Unless you're going to cut like a 1.2 60', I think its going to be hard to reach. You already know the faster you go the harder it is to go faster, yet you almost sound like this is going to be easy. Hopefully you can prove me wrong this weekend, otherwise, we'll get a good laugh out of your excuses...

Well I think its going to be a tough task, but its very possible for us to go 9's. First off when I ran 126 mph I was in a 30 mph headwind. Then i went 128.5 but at a slower et because it had a weird 1-2 shift.

Anyway, we have gone back to 2.93 gears because I was running out of room in 3rd with 3.29's. Now I am good to 150 mph in 3rd. We have 105 more whp now, with a turbo that spools faster. I guess we will see. But my official guess is 9.98@139 mph 1.52 60foot.

heres a few requested pictures of the headlights.

Ive still got some wiring to do, these are just temped in. Im putting HID's in there, but I havent decided which ones I want yet.

The lower door sections were glued on with a product from Norton called SpeedGrip panel bonding adhesive. Part number 06115. Uses a special applicator gun thats like $40, but it works. You will find a lot of uses for this adhesive. You can literally glue a wet fish to a piece of drywall and it will stick. Its incredible. You could glue your entire car together and not use 1 bolt and it would never fall apart. anyway, hope this helps.

awesome man, how are you getting the manual to hold that amount of power? I know what power it takes to go 126 and I never thought a manual would get there. Im ready for some competition, make it happen!

Those 1 inch chains are really nice, but the pocket book hurts. I have 2 of them. $800 a piece.

Nice looking ride Ryan. Bring that thing to Ennis before season end.

Yeah, but 285#'s is a lot to tow down a strip, you're talking more than the 25% power lost of a 65HD.

And once again, time slips talk, not pictures.

the loss switching to the HD over the 5 speed will be overcome by the ability to launch and not shift 4 times.

FYI, a car with 100whp more than you, and about 80lbs heavier, ran a 1.62 60 and ran 10.0 at 138.

Willing to bet that it had a better tune for the backhalf as well.

my official guess, if you get the traction you claim, is 10.4@133

X if you break into the 9's at the Noble track then you get extra credit. Everyone here swears that track is consistently slow so they take their cars to Tulsa. When you get down here the guys at the track will tell you the difference. I can't remember what the spread was between the two tracks but I think they say around 2 tenths. I'm not sure why.
I know by 10pm the slobs have overfilled the bleach water troughs and it's wet all the way up to line... Should be fun though. I'm gonna try and get out there to see you run.

I got no knock on that pass (22 degrees of timing), but I guarantee I was losing a lot of power. BTW my intake temps are my boosted air temps. My temp sensor is in my MAF. Something is going on with my intercooler pump. After I launch it stops pumping. I dont know if the g-forces are causing a bubble to hit the pump or what. I will get it fixed because we are going to Noble next weekend for Buick Vs Ford. I think the car will go 9's next weekend. If not very very low 10's. I was fighting a 20 mph headwind today, and fighting my intercooler pump to boot. I ran a lot lower mph that what I expected, but my turbo spools like a beast. I ran a 1.45 60', where my old best was 1.57 when I was supercharged. The best with my old turbo was 1.61. I think it has more in it too. I may be able to squeeze off a 1.40. I think with a 1.40 and 138 mph we will see a very high 9.

Also I got a really cool picture of my car today. The guy shooting photos for HPP got a pic of my car launching with the wheels off the ground! I had it printed 8.5x11 full glossy photopaper, so I will have it scanned and put online. Its an amazing picture. Ive never seen air under my front wheels before, unless its on one of my lifts. hahaha.

Pretty awesome I dont doubt you lost alot of power to the absurd high intake temps thats pretty nuts that there was no knock, Makes me kinda wish I had set my last car up on e85 before I parted it out.
