Sorry for no pics...I do wish I could post, but pictures are few and I don't have a way to post. I have myself too have been maily monitoring the forum for info I gathered like the sabb intercooler, and hidden capertment behind firewall. I also seen the lambo doors post but only recently avaliable and just installed. I will be making my presents known at all T.O. tracks. I may attended the mr2 run at shanannoville this year on may 16 ...but thats a qote from a mr2 guy for a race day monday?. I may be their only if a this guy recieves his car back in time with a new 97 turbo motor. We are schedualed to race soon since he has claims his modded mk1 can defeat the best of all fiero's? This type of talk is around alot of mr2 owners. I do understand every car does have is own particular benifits, but aftermaket does determine just what you can change or / choices available for that a particular car.

If you see a fiero with the plates 2EXTREME you know you read it hear first! If you see a delorean with plates BK2DFUTR you know you read it hear second!
As for all the serious guys, I myself can't wait to show it to the public minus tickets. This is why I will prepair it for first day showing this year at the first track I go to whenever I get their...and I will be driving the fiero. The delorean is and was my daily driver for summer since I recently crashed my 87GT winter car.
Well, the description of his weight-reducing sounded legit. And, opinions on power output aside, 300 hp is only an estimate, if a generous one. But for the love of all that is good and holy, man, BUY A CAMERA!!!!
There's many forum members in Ontario I believe, see if one of you guys can check out his Fiero. If he makes up some excuse saying the car is away somewhere being worked on or he stops posting completely, then we know BS. If his story is true, stimpy eats a bug.
BTW, we Fiero enthusiast will like Fieros more than MR2s, and MR2 owners will like MR2s more than Fieros. I personally like both, my brother-in-law has a white 91 MR2 and I think it's sweet.
You said you wrecked your first 3 Fieros, So you build one that is faster and cut the door supports out and take the impact beams out of the bumpers???? What are you thinking

I don't know why people still insist on saying the Fiero is slow.
It's a mid 1980's car
A properly running GT with manual trans does the 1/4 mile in the 15 second range, that's on par and very respectable comparing it to other 1980's performace domestic cars such as Mustang, Camaro, etc from the same era.
As far as comparing the Fiero to the MR2?
Buy the book Pontiac Fiero - Performace Portfolio
It's has a lot of the info your looking for. There is a guy always selling them on eBay.
someone that got it right.. you figure if nothing had forced induction today the fiero would be pretty much even family sedans and what not. Minus the vette of course mostly everything in the 80's was a dog.

I'd like to hear more about this... do you mean that you've built a custom frame to triangulate the strut towers off the firewall?

Seriously, I'd love to eat a bug on this one. If you're for real, it sounds like an interesting ride.
I can pack 275's under stock bodywork with appropriate suspension mods. It's not a big stretch to think that +4" per side can fit 315's...
I'd love to see you eat a bug, too. That would be funny, and just absurd enough to start the next internet fad. Do we get to pick what kind of bug?

Well no bugs here, I just don't understand why so many people come to there own conclusions if they don't have the proof. I feel like I'm in court again, freedom is limited to only as much as your willing to spend, or if you can afford it, so then why even talk. I payed my dues, work dam hard, and get things done because if I don't then is just a dream, or another joke. I would rather be listening to a professional comedian to be tell me jokes, thats what they get paid ... I am not here to convince people what is or not possible, money is the biggest fator! This is not a show car, nor is it perfect, nor is it the best or fastest. I wanted the ultimate handling car, and thats were I chose the fiero GT for is endless kitcar / aftermarket options. I cannot think of any other car that has as manny opitions / becoming the choice of your exotic dream machine. I once considered buying a mr2 (mk2)...I also know a particular individual that has a 91mr2 with TRD wide-body, and alot of extra $$$. Every claim I made about my fiero and its performance charicteristics is true.

Was it his lack of spelling skills or grammar(sp?) that convinced you? Like he said earlier, what do you say to his other car being a DeLorien(sp?)

You're busting on somebody else's spelling but you're not sure how to spell grammar or DeLorean... wow...
His grammar and spelling are a heck of a lot better than a lot of what I've seen on this forum. Come on people, get serious. How well he bothers to type doesn't have any bearing on his car.

Thanks Will, do you think I should I mention that I am educated too and with a certificate ! I don't usually talk nor post things on the net. I have had some pics taken, but like I said, I am I fiero guy, not computer guy and I don't own a scanner. I understand that pictures are better than words, but my spare time is scarce since I use most if not all my time on my cars. As for money, I'm not rich either, rather a labour / slave in construction, busting my balls to get these goals done in my damm life....did i spell that wright?
Anyways, it would be nice for more modded cars to be in the right places rather then just somewhere on the street. As cops claim, your only looking for trouble. Hopefully I will make my destionation and back every time I plan to go racing...as for dreams.... Targa Newfoundland seems to be in the near future, or any other T.V. broacasted event with shots of this car....that should then change the way people think about Fieros.

WOW, hasn't this topic gone waaaay out of line!!!! I'll just say that I prefer a Fiero to the MR2. A friend of mine had a 92 MR2 and I have to say that being a turbo car it was pretty quick. Having worked on both though I think the Fiero is a bit more user friendly, MR2's are a damn nightmare! Everything is packed in really tight. I'll have to admit for 1984-1988 the fiero had the MR2 hands down. It's a shame that GM had to ax it! Just like the corvair a couple bad experiences pretty much doomed the Fiero after the first model year. DAMN you Ralph Nader!!!!!!! The man doesn't even have a drivers licence!!!!! I only wonder what the fiero could have been if given the chance to evolve.

Thanks guys for speaking out some fiero facts. It seems like I have a hard time trying to let people know just what exactly I mean when it comes to a car most of us own here... should have an idea of its possibilities. V-8 are not commenly put into mr2s, but yes it can be done if your willing to get a chainsaw and making it fit somehow? I don't dispute that any / every car has its modifcation limits 4 performance, including the fiero. Everyone also has thier own opinion on how far mods go before its not the same car as its name should represent ie. a rebody fiero = replica / kitcar, or NOS 4 power = non existing real power / cheating. I personally feel for a car to be faster legit, should be powered by its given engine...or at least some say at it must be same manufacture or production line of given model. I have seen and heard of 400hp+ fieros too often, but how many Mk1 / Mk2 can easily pull it off, I think not !
It does come down to your own preference... my advice would be just to save $$$ and just purchase the car of your dreams... and such an investment should satisfy you , and it can always be resold without any major $$$ loss or time involved. I started too in the street racing scene, and thousands of dallars later, I learned that speed does not belong in places that have posted limits.
