According to Robin, you dealt directly with him and paid him. It is absolutely astounding that you continue to insist that George owes you a refund.

It's a good thing I didn't write all the things that Robin had to say about you, but I'm sticking to the facts.

Hmmm I go away for awhile and this thing is still going on....hmmmm I have to say very uh "Entertaining" but now that its getting long in the tooth,,,,

I offer a part resolution. As you can tell from my location and from my signature I am completely across the nation from the FieroShop. I will say, I have called there and recieved good information and assistance from Georges shop. We have the North FLorida Fiero club out of Jacksonvile. I state this because I have NO AFFILATION with his store nor do I personally know him. I offer a test. Not of George's shop practices but of the clutch. This is not a knock on anyone but lets just see if the clutch is bad or not, that comes from George. My complete clutch system is about to go down the crapper. So since I need one, I am going to take the risk and order one from George. Call me stupid or whatever but there is always MANY sides to a story and these ridiculous posts prove it! As was mentioned before, this is a waste of Bandwidth. I hear people saying that George is losing business because of this issue. Well I wil not comment on who is right, because what we say doesnt mean crap. Because no one really knows what happened in this. PERIOD. Only George and Archie

I propose to purchase from George the clutch and then once received, Install through a local performance clutch shop and then drive the car properly and let's just see how well the thing works. I can document all the steps. If the purchase is a success, Then we know partially some of this is BS. I dont take the words of a message board. I want to see for myself. Because if this is a hack job done on George, and we all are in this for the Love our cars, We are ignorant to even get involved. Do you really think George or Archie care about our opinions.?? Not being hostile just a realistic person. With that said..George E mail me.. OR I can call ya. I tend to think there is a lot of BS on this. I will buy one just so I can sse what the deal is. My curiosity is getting the best of me. With us doing this, IT will provide a totally unbiased opinion. How's that?

Then, its not George being hurt or Archie. IF Archie has a legitmate gripe..Then it needs to be settled. But IF George does sell a completely better clutch than stock I dont care what happened in their little war, I WANT IT. Dont let your car not get the best just because of some war you dont know the whole truth on. I will purchase one and let eveyone know what I have found.

And if for some reason the clutch does not work, Heaven forbid I will see how his business practice REALLY is.

So more to come on this.

I assume you have a V6 that you'd put the Fiero Shop clutch into. I've driven at least 3 cars (maybe four or five) with this clutch in it.
1. My old 87GT
2. George's 88GT
3. An 88GT with a 5-speed and 3.4

The clutch grabs right off the floor, works very smoothly and the pedal effort is no harder or softer than the clutch you're probably used to.

When my 88GT needs a clutch, I'm going to put one of these in. Hope this helps.

Ok... I've hesitated to get involved into this... but I also feel that the gesture of an apology from George is top of the line. And I give him much due credit.
BUT... I do see what some people mean George. I don't take anything you said about Archie as slandering in the least, but can see how some people could infer it differently than I. As long as I've been here I've heard nothin but good things about either of you 2 OR your businesses. I feel that all this is silly... and really retarded to speak honestly... Really a message board is not the place for businesses to have words back and forth to each other to begin with... but the fact that the apology has been offered still renders useful in this situation.
AND on George's statements that anybody that does not know the WHOLE story, by either being there.. or hearing the calls... SHOULD not aide either side in there oncoming insults or slanders. This isn't the only care this info holds useful.. do you ever just go out and do something to get even for somebody cuz they told you this guy did that without talkin to that other guy first? If you do I pity you, as that's not a very intelligent thing to do.

I think we should all just thank George for his posted apology, because I for one feel that he never meant any insult to Archie nor anyone else on this board. Also, I believe that no one should distrust or lose confidence in the FieroStore. I've not ordered anything from them.. but plan to do so in the near future, and believe that they will back up their product.

And Archie... I mean no disrespect to you either.... I plan on comin to you later down the line when I can afford that LS-1.. Hehe... I still have full faith in your services as well...

Even though this has been long... and probly borin and pointless... these were my 2 cents... thanks t o anyone that read and myabe is persuaded to stop lookin into the black and white. Lates

Like I have said before, I have been reading here for a long time and even know a few of you through E-Mail. James is right, this is no place to air the differences. The fact that there is a problem is between the two of them, not the entire forum. I remember when I first started reading this forum there were about 400 members. Archie, at the time, was not held in high regard for problems stemming from another tech board. Also, at that time, his buisness ethics were under fire because of alleged "Poor Customer Service", and a very hostile attitiude. The only slandering here has been from Archie towards George. All I can say about that is that Archie should be careful when threatening leagal action. If in fact George has lost buisness due to this inane thread, Archie could lose his buisness or some of it anyway. This is all very innocuous an mundane.
However I do like Voyteks take on all of this. I think Voytek should copy this entire thread and write a screenplay entitled "The Fat And The Furious". Staring Don Knots as Archie and Jakie Gleason as George. Boy what a thriller that would be. Well, that's my 2 cents!!!

I've met both of these guys. I'd cast the movie differently. Archie would be played by Dan Ackroyd and George would be played by Regis Philbin.

Fiero Bear, how baout making it an action drama with Archie being played by Martin Shean and George played by Marlon Brando? The title could be "APOLOGY NOW". I really like this. We could go on forever trying new charactors and titles. Keep em' coming folks

Apology Now - LOL! Good one. We could have some fun with this!

"I love the smell of Kevlar in the morning...smells like...motorsports"

If we're going to make an action flick, we need Jesse Ventura as Archie and Charles Bronson as George.

"I'm gonna give ya ta tha count a ten to refund me the clutch before I pump your guts fulla lead... One... Two... TEN!" buddabuddabuddabudda*HAHAHAHAHAHA*buddabuddabudda-tinkletinkletinkle...
"Keep the clutch you filthy animal"

I say that we also feature a Toaster from space.

Time to unleash My Opinion!
First of all, my experience in this thread is that Archie is VERY defensive, and quick to lash out at any percieved slight. I don't know him, and I haven't had any problems with him or his product. However, his business is well established, and of the 200-300 Archie-Jobs I've seen, I've heard 3, maybe 4 complaints. 96%-97% success rate is better than most surgeries. I haven't dealt with Archie himself yet, so I can't comment on his professionalism.
Now, that having been said, the posts that Archie has made in this particular thread have been rude and unproffessional. Given that this has been a long-running issue, some may be forgiven, as things tend to build up. That's just my view. Archie hasn't lost MY business YET.
2) George has been nothing but professional about this whole deal, on this forum. However, his customer service skills could be a little better. The willingness to wash his hands of a deal that he initiated doesn't speak well. That said, he doesn't have any legal responsibility to Archie, based on what I've seen here. HOWEVER, in terms of customer satisfaction, and service, he should have been more involved. It's all fair and good to take back an item if it self-destructs, and THEN determine that it was due to mis-use. HOWEVER, to my understanding, the clutch never left Archies shop. That was a mistake. If the clutch died because of misuse, then Archie is owed NOTHING. But the attempt MUST HAVE BEEN MADE. Since George initiated the deal, he should have stayed in it, unless it was made perfectly clear that his business had nothing to do with it. As it was, it wasn't his product, but it was offered THROUGH GEORGE. This is important. This sets the expectation that George is responsible for all the RMAs.
Again, I don't have all the facts.
George: You have conducted yourself in a coureous and professional manner. I applaud you for that. In terms of service, I think that you should not have distanced yourself so much from the product, but that was your choice. You haven't lost business from me either.

How about "The Apology that would not die" for a movie title?

Or "The Good, The Bad, and The Apology"? Go ahead, make me sorry!

Or perhaps, "To Woo Fung, I'm apologize for everything, Julie Newmar" - try to picture George as a cross dresser!

Sorry to ramble on, I apologize!

FieroBear, how about "CAR WARS" with Archie as Darth Kevlar and Terry Owens as Clutch Skywalker, who was trained by George Miller as Breakin Juan Kenobi. Twenty years from now we can start the prequals with Episode One "The Kevlar Menice"
"In a garage far far way"
We could all be little Ewoks!

OH MY GOD!!!! WHaaaahaaahaaa WHaaaahaaahaaa, that is to good. This is definitely the most fun this thread has ever seen. Maybe we could move it from the big screen to the Tele? Make a series out of it like, "Starsky and Clutch" or "The Dukes of Kevlar", Archie could play Grandpa, George and Terry could be Bo and Luke, Fierochic88 could play Daisy, Boss Hogg played by Toddster, Sheriff Roscoe played by, yourself and I'll be Enis. You could get brittney to sing the theme song, "Clutch me baby one more time" The possabilities are endless. See what you started Voytek.

No, you were the one who came up with stuff like "Apology Now" and "Car Wars". It's all your fault.

Now we can go and start a new flame war thread over who started the movie thing.

Excuse me, but it was Voytek who started it all by saying that this thread was a daily staple for him and likening it to a Soap Opera, get it, a Soap Opera, the thing on television and HBO? So there, that's my ambiguous and barely discernible proof. Just because I embelished on what he started doesn't make it mine! HAh!!!

P.S. But, if turns out good, I want credit!!

Well, yes, he originally likened this to a soap opera. But it was your ROTFL movie ideas that got it going.

You know FieroBear, I was thinking (and it hurt) but this thread is getting rather old. How about the movie being called "JURASIC CLUTCH" Now I'll let you decide the charactors and who plays them. But I must add that either Archie or George should be the T-Rex and the other be the Velosaraptor(not sure on the spelling). If you want to go retro Action Thriller, we could go with the "Gear Hunter". I guess according to Archies account of things, we would find him sqealing like a swine with George hovering over him. Oh man, I just crapped myself, this is more fun than should ever be had.
