I went and tinkered around with my 87 GT today. Hooked up my laptop to it and got the winaldl stuff to work. Then it ran out of gas sitting there idling before I could take it for a test drive.

Joe
There`s not much to see at the moment.
All of the stuff I`m doing won`t be going on until I do my fastback swap.
I am trying to get a large compressor that will drive my HVLP gun and then paint all of my panels off of the car before replacing them.

It took me 4 hours to get to that point. It's fairly simple, I just need to finish with another layer of glass on top and finish the bottom. You can do a search for Blacktree's build thread, that is where I got my inspiration.

I bought stainless steel hose to run the fuel lines under the blower. I also picked up a couple of adapters to finish up the intercooler pump install. The pump is mounted but not connected yet. Tomorrow should be the last day of work on it and it will be up and running.

Changed the oil.. figured I'd give Royal Purple a try. Finished connecting the HE pump for the intercooler. Made and installed fuel lines, put on new supercharger belt. Topped the coolant off. Started bleeding the intercooler system.

Changed the oil, tried to fix the crossthreaded plug that the P.O. hackjobbed. Adjusted right rear toe by about 1.5* out. Began planning for valve cover removal so as to adjust valve lash.

Wished I had more time.

I bought a bunch of stuff off of forum member Chris_72 including an instrument cluster,GT nose emblem and 2 V6 exhaust manifolds.

I took apart the cluster I got from him and replaced my cracked instrument panel lense and worn out light and trunk/defog switches!

The emblem will go on next year after it get painted and the manifolds i may just keep as spares or port and install them next summer.

oh.. and i also broke one of the wires connected to the tach filter....so mow my tach doesnt work...

Been forever since I responded to this one: Drove mine to work today (I know, lame-o me did that the last time I posted in here)!

Since then, I drove it down to blackrams for a cookout (Hi Jake!), Autocrossed it, and generally ran the crap out of it.!

I hooked up the tranny shift cables, and brackets. I was able to put the ball joints back on the right way. I put the tires on the car. Now she is sitting on all four tires, something that hasn't happend in two months. Soon I will be able to take her out for one last drive before winter starts.
