Replaced the harmonic balancer in my Dad's relatively warm/dry/lighted garage in Tulsa (a couple days ago). Doing any work outside in my apartment parking lot sucks right now with the crappy weather and the sun going down before I'm done with classwork

I picked up new plugs and wires today to try to get rid of some arcing off my plug wires to the head.

Started clearing out all the parts I've got in storage. Amazing how much crap I've accumulated in a few years.... filled up my 2 car garage and the shed out back. Still have 2 more storage units to clear out.... and I got my 84 running again! 4 fuel pumps later

I blew the cobwebs out just before being tucked in to bed for the winter. Boy do I love the smell of race gas on a cool fall day. Well, maybe the smell of race gas is good on any day.

Finally finished installing my Allante intake.

Started right up. Didn't have any fluid leaks or anything else ugly.

The throttle response is amazing, and I haven't even driven it yet.
The exhaust note is... different. Possibly because I've got a brand new set of injectors. Probably is hitting on all eight.

Fixed oil leak in "Project Mayhem" and then rewired trunk blower fan to be on whenever key is in run position. Hopefully I won't have to worry too much about burning through ignition modules now that it will have plenty of cooling all the time. OH, and found a big staple through the sidewall of one of the rear tires, so, now it's flat and useless... And I was so close to driving my free se.

Got FL license plates... paid $427 for the privilege! I wanted to get individualized plates but reconsidered since that would have cost even more.

That was with registration and sales tax depending on how much you valued the car for , every thing was doubled by the mayor recently....give it some time and reapply for it and you will only pay for the plates then.

Drove it to work skipping 3rd gear. Synchro is almost gone. Fiance's car lost a wheel bearing last night and she stole my other car so I had no choice.

Played with idle screw on the 4.9... which does nothing. Also annoyed that I have to pick a new thermostat for it today. Happy it is only $3. Replacing that today also.

No sales tax here since it has been my car for 15 years. But the "initial registration" alone is $225! Add to that $87 for reg. tax plus the plate and fees...

Replaced the EGR solenoid, and what a difference in the way the car runs and performs now! No more bouncy tach, and acceleration seems to have improved significantly.

Of course, the rubber air hose broke off from the metal line on the firewall, so a 15 minute job took an hour when I had to learn how to drive my dad's truck to go get a new rubber hose.

I wonder, however, if this hose has been my code 32 problem the whole time.

Now it needs a bath again; we get maybe half an inch of snow and the county dumps enough salt on the roads that you'd think we had a blizzard.

Installed a new H2O pump in my 88 Formula. I was worried that it was a front freeze plug but once I got the belt and pulley off I could see it dripping from the weep hole.Everything went well except for the 2 small bolts on the bottom of the pump. Thery were a PITA to get out and back in. My big ol mits just do not fit in there too well. Took me about 3 hours total and that includes a couple rips to the parts house and a break for lunch. Just another great day of Fiero ownership!

Took the "summer" wheels off and put the stock wheels (winter storage) on for the winter slumber. Tucked the car into the garage, hooked up the trickle charger, and covered her up for the winter. I'm sad.
