dobey is gone and Boonie starts posting, defending him no less. Coincidence?
Neither a coincidence, nor a conspiracy. Boonie started posting a little while ago, and has been lurking the whole time. I know starting rumors is almost an art form here in TO/T. There are merely a few posters remaining who have a liberal leaning view in this area now. The rest have been driven off by the aggressive behavior from the looks of it. Is that the goal? Drive everyone else out so it's just a handful of people who agree on everything? Boonie is a good person, and never really attacks anyone that I've ever seen. Pick another target. Or, better yet, try not targeting anyone for a while.
Who are you talking too? I only asked a simple question.
Sorry, I saw a few people get ganged up on because people started saying they were someone else's alt (mainly dobey). I just didn't want that to happen to Boonie too.

Lambo has made it quite clear in the past that he doesn't approve of what I choose to post or the amount I choose to post of it. To the point of preferring that I not be here at all.
Unfortunately, he is unable to just ignore me. I hope somehow he can make peace with that.

Honestly my biggest disagreement with the forum is that it doesn't have an ignore function. Things would be so much easier around here if we could put people on ignore, preventing them from seeing them what we post and vice versa. Not that everyone would choose to use it but at least that way it would prevent these long standing feuds if one of the parties involved chooses to end it.

Kind of hard to ignore when one opens OT and 3/4 of the damed threads are started by you full of useless crap that you then want to start an argument over as to what you actually meant when you posted it. Gets kind of old...fast.
Some of those with whom I disagree, politically, are also some of my favorite contributors here. I would never use an ignore button, I might miss some entertaining stuff. If I want to ignore something, I just ignore it. Weird, huh?

Wait a minute!
Are you endorsing the concepts of self control and personal responsibility?

See? All I needed was a 'like' click. I have nothing to add.

Yeah, I post something and than I start an argument about it. No, I don't have to, others do it for me.
As far as post counts per day, strange how you don't turn that magnifying glass of yours on MEM or Tony.
"Useless Crap" is YOUR assessment. The majority here enjoy my posts. It's just you and a very few others who take unrealistic offense to my posts. If you don't believe me, just ask the other members.
The real shame is your inability to take personal responsibility for your own actions. Just don't click "Boondawg".
Why you would take the much harder road of trying to control me, and in the process keeping others from reading what I might have posted simply because YOU deemed it "Useless Crap" is beyond me.
How would you deal with you if you were me? Would you allow me to dictate to you what & how much you can post?
Of course not. We are free men, under God.
P.S. The man that owns this site has no problem with my posting habits. I have asked several times.
Unfortunately, the problem seems to be yours alone. Please, just don't click. We'll both be happier.

TO/T USED to have more discussions in it. There was a much larger selection of people posting in this area of the forum, with a stronger emphasis on more positive threads, games, etc. The political environment in this country has infected this part of the forum, and I can honestly say this has driven many member of this forum out of this section, permanently from the looks of it.
I wholeheartedly agree with Threedog and Boonie. What they have described happens here regularly. Literally just posting a liberally oriented post can earn someone a negative here in this section. It happened to me last night. I posted about how it seems people's political bias influences their views, and creates double standards for what people find offensive. I didn't post this specifically towards anyone, or say that either side is innocent, I just made a comment about human nature. My ratings bar didn't start going negative until two specific people started trying to turn it into a right v/s left argument and specifically tried to come at me personally. I didn't type one insult about them as a person, but the same can't be said for what they typed, and yet I got negged by one of them (I'm pretty sure who it was).
People here have become "verbally" abusive and attack anyone they don't agree with, simply because they feel like they have the numbers to do so. Nevermind that they're actually in violation of the terms of the forum. Nevermind that they actually stoop to insulting people's professions and anything else they can find. If someone complains about it, they're a "snowflake" or some other insult that denotes weakness. Yes, Dobey had taken things to a level which caused him to get banned. I've seen newcomers get banned just from posting in here, and from the usual suspects assuming it's someone's "alt", so they gang up on them.
Would you guys seriously treat people like this in person? I was shocked when I came back and saw how badly it had gotten here. Some of you acted totally different a few years ago when I was a regular on the forum. I admired some of you, and thought it would have been nice to have met you in real life. I have to say that I couldn't care which team you root for in the political game, how you treat people says more about you than anything. I wouldn't want to meet many of the people posting in this section, not because they're Dems or Reps, but because their behavior would be classified as online bullying, and it truly is sad that these people have chosen to act like this. I won't even get into the whole faith thing, but I'm pretty sure for any of you that follow a religious faith, that treating people in this manner isn't what that faith teaches.
I'd honestly like for you to look at old posts by RayB, Neptune, and most recently... by dobey. Those are some posts that geeze... you want to talk about abusive language.
I like RayB and Neptune, because I know that even though they post this stuff, I know they'd still be up for a beer... and would laughingly harass me about my political leanings at a bar. I can take it. But some people can't.
Let me explain... there are people who have invested their entire lives in their political identity. There are very few of them here, but I know people who are very much like that. They are unable to communicate with people if they know they voted for Trump. This is because they have concocted such an atrocious view of Trump that they believe anyone who voted for him must be pure evil. I mean, this is totally absurd talk. We all generally want the same thing, we just have a different philosophy on how to get there.
What you're seeing... the "hatred" in this country, is propaganda that's largely put out to gain support for a political party. The world is not ending, and it won't be any time soon. But there's only so much needling and prodding that one can take before they fight back.
I would only spend time on forums that I had a common connection with. (This is a Fiero forum in case you didn't figure that out yet.) That or get a life.

Oh, that's right. If I recall, you believe that if you don't own a Fiero, you shouldn't be here. Am I remembering that right?
Even in the T/OT? Does it count if I used to own a Fiero...in Alaska?
Does this belief you have pertain to just me, or does it apply to everyone?
I used to own a Plymouth duster, I used to own a chevelle, you won't find me trolling the mopar or chevelle forums.. As they are forums for owners of those vehicles..
The problem is to many of those without the model car anymore are pushing those that do. away..
OTOH, at one time I was a spousal caregiver and I was active on a forum dedicated to those folks.
I'm not a caregiver any longer but I'm still active over there.
It's not like my experiences became unimportant once my wife died.
And then there's the whole 1st amendment thing.
not say'n A person shouldn't be allowed if they don't own the vehicle anymore, but face it, here more without one do what they can to push those that do away.. Many also neg others.. You know what most forums call people that are not part of the forum theme.. ?? trolls
Hey Boondawg, in order to conform with these new rules of the forum, I have an extra Fiero that I will put your name on. Please do stick around, you are one of the good ones.

I am a member of a specific motorcycle related forum that requires proof of qualification. Believe me when I tell you, most of you would not want this place to be like that one.
I have several. Many of us do. Does that mean we can have as many screen names as we have Fieros? Anyone without a car in hand is welcome to say I have theirs in storage.....
So we all share the love for that little mid-engine sportscar. Chances are we share more interests. This is the place for totally off topic discussions!
New Topics: All registered users may post new topics in this forum. Replies: All registered users may post replies in this forum. That, is the closest the 'rules' comes to dictating any deciding factor for membership or posting.
Any other declaration like the ones posted in this thread are simply a figment of someones very active imagination.

The owner of this website does not exclude anyone based on weather or not they own a Fiero. For him, more members means a more robust web presence. Its just good business.
Exclusion is not a good business model. But it sounds like Lambo would even exclude Maryjane (I believe he sold his last Fiero a while ago). Maryjane.
So, access to a wealth of information & experience, gone, simply because he no longer owned a car. That don't make no sense.
And I don't buy it.

I cannot apologize for your judgements. I just cannot do it. I am 100% correct about what I wrote. You know this.
I also have the freedoms to comment within the walls of this very forum like you.
If name calling hurts you... Toughen up buttercup. I catch you being a hypocrite, post accordingly, and you get a bit twisted? Mm,kay?
Again, where did you dip your Fiero? Did Mom cook last weekend? I am betting I am spot on. If not, I can and have apologized SINCERELY in the past. If you do not agree with said sincerity, then I would seek the greatest of actions against my internet posting. Go and file an internet complaint with the internet complaint board of directors in your area.
Who have you helped today?
Eh, you already know it all...
Edit: And yet you have the time to cry to me? Just no time for the DOZENS of other questions asked by other members?
If I am your issue... My gawd man.
I don't think I even need to react to this, it sums up O/T pretty well.
No other reason...not black/white, not left/right, not tree-hugger/timbermill...that I can deal with with..
Wanna tell me how you are gonna punch me in the head....dont be too surprised if I do it first, and the mistake was warning me in advance that you plan to do it.
