Farook has been described as "devout" and "religious". So, I ask you again: was he one of the good muslims or one of the bad muslims? Which was he last month?

Obviously, these two individuals were not listening to our fearless leader. Just the other day Obama told us their were no credible threats.
Trust is an earned thing, when American Muslims stand up against such terror, other Americans will start to trust them.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?
My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug
I watched this live last night, interrupted Judge Judy, so Melanie was already pissed at the TV.
I witnesses in the beginning said there were 3 inside, the police stopped the Black Burban and said one ran, later they found some man running across a runway nearby, he said he heard shots and just ran, yet this morning the news is saying only the 2 shooters who were killed in the SUV are the only shooters.
RIGHT !
Something is not right here.
I was listening on the headphones to the live police feeds someone posted earlier. They were looking for phantom man with a gun in a parking garage.
Something is not right here !
It would be nice to get the truth out of the media once in a while.

Makes me wonder at this point how long will the average citizen put up with the "ISIS is contained" meme.
And what happens then?
I don't think the leadership is actually as smart as they think they are but boy it sure seems as if they're orchestrating something to rile the masses.
Martial Law?
And then, as I've asked before, does the military follow those orders?
And don't we have something like 2 million former military, most of whom are armed, of which 90% of them are disgusted with the present administration?
" is said to have traveled to Saudi Arabia earlier this year .... Co-worker Patrick Baccari says Farook was gone for about a month in the spring. ... he grew out his beard several months ago. "
NOT tinfoilinfg it just yet. And those poor families touched.
I can see the SWAT training session coming into play as to just how quickly a response was made. But, early on there was mention of a "counseling center" already set up to offer services for those in need. Heart felt gesture of course, but the expediency of such a center grabbed my attention.
The latest new battle wagon for our protectors is the Rook. Yeah, not seeing it. I have a few thousand hours in a BobCat. The wall is a nice touch, but you do not want to be caught off guard when the tooling starts bouncing.
I could come up with some Sympathetic reason why they went of their rockers but it wouldn't negate that they did indeed go quite a ways off their rockers. So prone to being extremely violent in their response is still the same outcome. I guess no one at this time knows why they went on the killing spree?? I'd like to know.
But on the good side!
Statistically speaking this is a win. If we did this everyday we could get rid of all these nutjobs in a few years tops.
I don't think the families of the dead people would agree with that approach though.
Too bad a significant amount of our citizens weren't armed and trained, As A tax payer that is a program I would be happy to pay for.
Where are the outraged "moderate muslums" protesting this act of obvious jehadist attack?
Doni, where are you? You felt need to do a hit and run comment when the media was speculating that the shooter was a white, probably christian, male. Now, nothing but crickets. Or are you too busy trying to figure out a way to paint yourself as a victim to comment?

Now THIS is funny. After all the anti-Police threads about "militarism of the profession", some jokes about non-militarized equipment?
It's no joke. You think that Cat wasn't militarized? Upper and lower gun ports. Armor. It doesn't matter 'where' the police got it, it's still militarization.
588 people have been murdered in what is classified as a mass shooting and spree killing combined since 1982.
21,493 people were murdered in Chicago since 1982. One city. Our POTUS city.
It is similar to how people react to a plane crash. A couple hundred might die in the crash of an airliner; tragic, sad indeed; but over 30,000 people die each year on the roads of America, an average of 80 people per day.

Good morning.
That shat was militarized. Besides the paint, armor, gun ports (as stated by MJ), and the protective wall, yes, yes it is not militarized. Try going down to Sun Rental and get you one of dem.
Food for thought: Tracks look all badazzed, and are excellent in many situations, but having them in this application is borderline moronic. Tracks on pavement are not at all optimal for operation. Wheels are better suited, less jerky, and are not prone to disengagement on paved surfaces.
What I found most discerning of the Rooks setup, was the constant intrusion to the line of sight. Often leaving Police exposed. If you are going to have a professional vehicle, at least have a professional driver. It was cringe worthy watching that all take place.
The yellow paint poll was a nice touch. At least that is what it appeared to be. Made me think... A taser on the end of a pole would probably help in situations like this.
Thanks for all those that helped. Officers, nurses, and regular folks. Some run towards danger. Props to them.
If the following is true, (and you never know from media this early in an investigation what is real and what is not) it would be hard to accept this as workplace violence. I've been pizzed off at my job before, and have known lots that were, but never knew anyone that went home and started building pipe bombs.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Federal authorities on Thursday took over the investigation into the deadliest U.S. mass shooting since the Sandy Hook massacre three years ago, as officials sought a motive behind the violent rampage here that killed 14 people and injured 21 others.
Police said Thursday that they had found 12 pipe bombs and thousands of rounds of ammunition at the home of the suspects, in addition to the scores of rounds they had on them when they were killed in a shootout with police. They also said the number of people injured in the attack had risen from 17, the previously known tally.
“We still don’t have a motive,” San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said at a news conference Thursday.
I understand why the FBI took over the investigation, but I can't say I really trust them since their boss is more apt to call this workplace violence and he will need some kind of report reflecting that.

It may come down to them figuring out why he got mad and left the party. Unless, of course, that was just a cover and they've had this planned for some time.
It could be that he and his buddies were planning something bigger, a "Paris Style" attack in LA; but the Christmas party got the better of him. Perhaps he got into an idealogical discussion which grew into an argument and decided to escalate the situation, having the means to do so in a grand fashion; "I'll show them!"

The one where you attacked him and effectively associated him as a murderer and terrorist because of his religion?

So, is it wrong for the Police to have it? And no, it is not military equipment. What branch of the military is buying this "militarized" equipment? And the threads I referred to were NOT modified rental equipment, there have been threads crying about military surplus going to Police Departments. Not even a "good" dodge, divert and redirect tactic on your part to to miss represent my comment. But it seems like a good enough answer for you to NOT give an answere.

Suit yourself Rick. There is a "reason' the military surplus has been partially clawed back and limits now placed on civilian police dept use of it. So now, those departments are just replacing it with equipment that does the same thing, armored just as well, has similar functionality and is tracked. A rose by any other name is still a rose. Did you actually ask a question? No. But I did address your assertion that I was joking.

Do I think the depts need it? Not as much as they think they do. Money would be better spent on more training and hiring more qualified officer recruits.

It doesn't look good for the 'workplace violence' theory. FBI is treating it as terrorism from the git go.
quote
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — The F.B.I. is treating its inquiry into the massacre here as a counter-terrorism investigation, two law enforcement officials said Thursday, based on materials the suspects stockpiled — including explosives — their Middle East travels and evidence that one of them had been in touch with people with Islamist extremist views, both in the United States and abroad.
No proof whatsoever, but I feel these 2 had something bigger or different planned, and let their emotions at the Christmas gathering get the better of them--spur them into acting sooner than they had planned. People of this ilk don't generally make a bunch of explosives then not use most of them or even take them to the location they are going to do their dirty work at. It would be interesting to find out what the explosive compound was that they used and where they acquired it. Pyrodex? Smokeless reloading powder?

Thank you for the answer. What suites me is giving the Police Departments ANYTHING they ask for. This should be no problem for some, given opinions on the the definitions of Second Amendment rights, ie nuclear weapons and Battle Ships owned by the public.
Seems to be rallying around not putting blame on jehadists?
This question leads me to ask "What tragic events has this administration said officially was a jehadist attack or muslum terrorist related?"
Yes, the current narrative.
Hillary Tweeted. I will give you one guess as to what the Tweet was...
All of this for the 588 murdered in mass shootings, but 21,493 in the same time period since 1982 murdered in Chi-Town alone. The numbers are astonishing, but the narrative narrow.
They weren't terrorists, if they were they would have been yelling Allahu Akbar or WTF ever it is they yell.
Steve
Yeah, I don't care if they were shouting, "Fieros catch on fire!" Religion is not the issue, they were members of a large, well known murderous cult, and murdered as many people as they could. Guns are not the issue, if they were not so inept at building bombs, many more might have been murdered.

oh I agree with you Willie, the face palm was supposed to show that.

I know you do. I didn't mean for it to sound otherwise. But some still don't get it. The problem is not religion, the problem is not guns, the problem is islam.
Remember the "good ol' days" when the only "bad guys" were Muslims and Black people?
Way to go- drop a turd in the punch bowl and leave the party. I kind of expected better from you, Doni. It is sad that someone with your background and legacy would stoop to this level.
