Has anyone installed a SPINTECH SPIN TECH MUFFLER for Fiero Single in / Dual Out on their car? Does it fit the stock exhaust system without any modifications? Does it sound better than the stock muffler?
not picking but ---- the answer you seek is in the first thread on the same subject you started just a couple of days ago. The short answer is it sound better that stock - the Spintek web sight has their opinion on the sound quality and YouTube has at least a dozen vids with sound for your viewing pleasure. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
Found this and sent info to fierogtguy1 but thought it might be of interest to more than just him --- Was going thru my old boxes of catalogs and found a specialty company I used for glass-pacs in the part stores I GMed for. (Jones Exhaust) found their web page and it looks like they have a performance muffler that is very close to the stock FIERO size!!! www.jonesexhaust.com
Under the FULL BOAR full flow line they have a 1 in 2 out with a can length of only 13" and a total length pipe end to pipe end of 18" ! Can't get under my car tonight to measure but I think it's real close!
Has anyone used this product on their FIERO? Inquiring minds would like to know.... and yes ---was noted in the list of muffler search's above Might be worth a look and a phone call tomorrow ------

I'd like to hear it on a Fiero too. Sounds good on a Chrysler V6 - mellow not harsh.

Agree that the Hooker Flotech Afterburner crossflow is very loud but when I replaced it with a Spintech the exhaust tone only got just a little lower. I am running a 3" in and two 2 1/2" outs. I've heard that if I had used a dual 2" out Sprintech the sound would be lower. Another muffler that would fit is the Lawson 13" Insynerator crossflow but it is advertised as a 2 chamber design??? . If you want a low tone you can install an exhaust auger in the input end but I am not sure what this will do to performance. Getting back to the OP's request for a stock replacement. AFAIK, there is no such animal except for the one with pipes sold by the Fiero store (Walker?) . The bends on the stock muffler are so tight that IMO short of welding it would be a hard job just to cut out the muffler and replace it.

Flowmaster released a NEW Super 10 Series muffler a few months ago. Probably the smallest they have - only 8-inch long body. Muffler note is listed as "aggressive" - meaning LOUD I expect. http://www.flowmastermuffle...gory=&kw=10%20Series

At some point I would love to experiment in real life with that technique. SO.. I really should get myself a welder in order to not have to rely on shops.
*oh just saw your new post in that thread too
