Honestly, i don't care who gave me what.. remember its a forum, its not real life .. they aren't coming and stealing my lawn gnomes or something.

Might I just add, that I LOVE your proper use of THEN / THAN. If I could give you another positive I would.

Boondawg, I've tried to enlighten people that they should all like you... I think I've been mostly successful... but I'll keep trying.

Interesting that you should say that, as it just JUMPS out at me when people use "then" in place of "than" and vice versa. Two other words (among others) that people constantly get mixed up are "advice" and "advise". Drives me nuts.

No, but nice try with symantics.
But I can play; Where did I say I was "Mr. Perfect"?

And I still say you would bite your tounge, in person.
People in public have better manners then to insult a perfect stranger.

Well, if we were to meet in some situation, we wouldn't know each other by sight so, that would make us strangers. Perfect, I think not.

I CANNOT tell you enough, how much it drives me nuts. I certainly do not claim to be an expert in proper English grammar; however, I can't stand when I see people mis-using THEN and THAN. It too jumps out at me all the time. Also "it's" as in possessive (which can't be), or they're and their and there.

Well, according to some here, one of us would be!

But it does bring up an interesting thought:
If 2 people have shared of themselves over many years in writting, but have never seen each other, are they strangers?
If those same 2 people are put in a room together without knowing the other is there, are they still strangers?
Is a face-to-face visual acknowlagement the only way to not be strangers?

Ok. I'll try to change my grammar than. It will get better from now on. I am sure poor grammar is what makes me different then you. (JOKE INTENTIONS ONLY)

Why yes, it is mine. It's mine. Of course standard grammar rules wont apply in 20 years when were all speaking "spanglish."

He's not the one running a gay brothel out of his house (Barney Frank).
So, not against gay.. think it's about time time to dial back the hypergay sensitivity. If someone is straight and disagrees with you it does not mean they want to kill you and your family.. Just a difference of opinion.. But this like the Abortion debate .. heavily charged with emotional sentiment.
(For the record I don't give a F about either issues.. I'm an economic voter) Abort away, Love away but I want someone who will understand a frigging budget.

stan, you need a new writer. tell us again how your mother told you to return carrying your shield or on it. or one of your other many stock phrases. your appearance of originality is used up. may i suggest ray b.? he lacks your lyrical style, but for disjointedness, broad brushing, and leaps of dubious logic, i think you guys could work together. (sorry, ray, i dont mean to be cruel)

.a year or two ago I posted instead of a western foreign military I had served in the legion.
I wanted one prominent person on the forum to know this was true ,so I showed him credit cards with my legion name & had the impossible to obtain legion dog tag in my hand,my matricule sadly he could not figure out why I was showing him this ,he post mostly in tech but I knew this would start a Fire storm with those who have never been any where & never done any thing,I am an older man now but I have military service much worse than the legion..I had even denied I was in the legion to people who were in my home & saw my legion memoribilia..It is beyond your feeble comprehension.I no longer give a rodents lacy pink tutu

ah, now we're getting somewhere.
i was at your house. you showed me one picture a formal commercial print. you got all misty-eyed over it, either sincere emotion or superb acting. i can't tell. you told me in pm that you never actually served in the legion, but took part in a "training exercise" in the mediterranean. so where is the truth?

you've got fantastic stories to tell, and we love them (and you for them) but we've seen many lapses and inconsistencies. so where is the truth?

you mention your mother in one of your many canned phrases, but never your father. why?

yes, and we hope we never have to. there are boys and girls coming home from afghanistan and similar places who are muslim, catholic, gay, liberal and gave their all for their country and you routinely kick them in the dirt. show some respect.

How did I know that once the thread topic changed a little bit Stan would pop his head back in here to stir things up again?

Stan, just because we don't all choose to post in your indomitable style doesn't mean none of us have strongly felt convictions. I've railed against pedophile Catholic priests here many times. I found This thread (one of many I've posted in on this topic) with just a quick search. A short quote from it...

Catholic priests have been diddling little boys for centuries. Homosexuality runs rampant in the higher echelons of the Catholic Church. I can't think of a more hypocritical organization. Makes me want to puke.

The pope's brother has now even been implicated! Here, from today's news...

Stan, you can be funny, and that's what has kept you here this long. But the other stuff is wearing thin. Looks like you'll have to decide if you wish to dial it back and remain at PFF or not.

I fought mostly against the marxist commies & democrats & Moslem baby butchers
I fought to preserve western values,I FOUGHT FOR THOSE OPPRESSED,THE DOWNTRODDEN & THOSE BEING BUTCHERED BY THE BETTER ARMED..I have seen the dead babies, the butchered women,,al a joke to a bunch of lefty liberals
most of my detractors here want a different America, you are watching the destruction of America & the western countries .
Buy as many expensive foreign asian products as possible just continue as you were doing!!
Obumbles has done so much damage ,, it can not be repaired in our lifetime ..
right now Obumbles & the other lefties are creating & approving treaties that favor Marxist
every day Obamunism hurts you in so many ways Lets hope Germany, France,Poland & the Netherlands prosper & survive
The Poles know the democrats ,only the older Czechs hate the democrats & commies more ..we need these countries to survive the financial firestorm,we desparately need these countries .
Taxes are like crack to Democrats & marxist (another old uhlanism)
NEVER forget what Obumbles said to the russians WHO HATE US ,when he thought no one was listening.NEVER,NEVER.NEVER FORGET !
the marxist professors are at work in east europe , greece, spain & Italy blaming capitalism!!

Stan, I still support you. Anyone that fought the commies is a life-long hero in my book.
