That TD6 might be a little tough to get parts for but damn well worth it if you can successfully restore it. I'd love to have one of those. No, I don't have a use for it but, I'd still love to have it.

I know, I could pull a 16" wide cut push mower behind it to mow my not so friendly neighbor's yard.

actually parts are not bad to find for them.... its just finding a good machine to start with that is the hard part... had to travel 14 hours each way to get this one

Something I thought about reading through the John Deere resto - have you considered sandblasting and powdercoating some of the parts? It seems like it would be more durable finish, and last longer, both of which would be definite +'s on a tractor that actually gets used.

you could but then it wouldnt be correct. in the restorations i do i do it as close to factory as i can. Sand blasting would work as i do it on alot of my larger tractors. with this one being so small it really wasnt worth sending out to the sand blaster to get done. most the the parts on the TD6 are going to the sand blasters when i get ready to do that project
