I got mine on the 23rd. Sorry it took so long to report, been really busy. As usual these are really nice. Great work Race. My collection is still up to date!!
I have one full set with DL10 on them , One full set that is trackable and a few with GBCT on them......I would have 2 other full set if I hadn't sent several coins geocaching
I have a few coins out in geocaches........some have been stolen but I have one that is now in Germany
I added a couple extra coins just before the closing date, to experiment with. The antique silver finish they sprayed on comes off fairly easily, leaving a nice gold coin underneath I just have to stop while I am out tomorrow and pick up some Mothers Polish, and hit it with the buffing wheel to finish it off.
So I got my 25th Anniversary silver coins, and a nice shiny gold one to boot

What did you use to strip the finish? I like that.
Thanks to everyone here who have ordered coins. This would be an impossible project without the group pooling it's resources.
Once again I am honored that you all have placed your trust in me to hold your money for coins that don't even exist until the production phase begins. I have started a thread in the Mall section to give you a chance to rate me as a seller, good or bad. Link
Thanks everyone and please let me know when your coins arrive if you haven't already.

Ok, I promise not to say I told you so
I used the finest sand paper I could find in the shed. I placed a shop rag down, for a little padding, and the sand paper on top of that, and wet the sand paper. I then just ran the coin over it in circular motions... a LOT when all the coating was off the surface, I used some polish I had on a rag, also laying flat on the work bench and went in circles with the coin again. I wanted to use a buffer wheel, but its almost impossible to hold the coin flat do do so. Now I need to get some Mothers or Brasso, and finish it up, as the polish I had was simple car polish, and not quite strong enough.
My intention at first was just to buff the silver and shine it up, but when I started, the coin underneath is brass or something, so that was even better I really wanted to see what one would look like in a nice shiny gold.

Has anyone received a coin by accident with, "Mattwa" engraved on it. I think I have made an error. I will pay for your return shipping and send you another coin to replace it.
Thanks,
Kenton

I show 13 group members who have not received their coins yet. If you have your coins but don't have an "R" after your name on page 1, please let me know if they have arrived.
Freshj, if you have not received them by Wednesday I will see if there is anything I can do on my end at the Post Office. If not we will make other arrangements.
I am still looking for a coin with "Mattwa" in the engraving box. Please let me know if you have received it in error.
Thanks everyone.

Several people are having issues with the U.S Postal Service this time. Everyone in the US should probably have received them by now. I am going out of town for the next four and a half days. If you still have not received your coins by Wednesday evening we will try to find another resoloution. Who would have thought that you could not trust the government with something so simple as a envelope.

Sadly, the postal service has been pretty poor lately. I recently had a package come to Iowa from Georgia and it took 2 weeks to get it here. It had went from Iowa to Georgia and back twice during that time. I found out during that 2 weeks that Priority Mail is just a name and does not mean it will get there on time. No wonder the Post office is losing money.
I ship UPS for everything but the smallest items anymore.
I know of one person who is still waiting for his coins to arrive and am making alternate arrangements. Please let me know if you are still waiting for delivery.
