I have updated the list. If I have missed your name or if you need me to make a correction on Post 1 Page 1 of this thread please send me a pm.
I have been away from home for the last 5 days but will be home for a while now. I will get the details ironed out so that we can proceed to production quickly. If you still have not paid for the coins that you have requested please do so at your earliest convenience. Thank you and have a great week.
Tomorrow when I get caught up with the details again I will post a schedule of events that will take place this week. Thanks for being a part of this project. It is a bit of a departure from the previous coins that we have made but I am very excited about seeing them in person.
Kenton

They will go into production later this week or early next week. This is not a quick thing but it won't take six months like the original run. We have it down to about six weeks start to finish. I wish it could happen faster for everyone. The only thing I can say is that they are worth the wait.
Just in case you didn't see it, (edited post on first page and included with paypal), would like my coins engraved with 1)SAGE, 2)REALITY,3)CRS. Don't see where it was updated with note of my payment, so thought I should maybe point it out.
Looking forward to the new edition, and extending my thanks again for coming up with this idea in the first place, keeping it going like you have, and all your efforts to organize each run and attend to all the details.
These are one of my favorite Fiero collectables to date.
Thanks and HAGO!

Sage, thank you for pointing that out. I had missed it. I have fixed it on Page 1, Post 1. (That is the list that I will be ordering directly from. The list on this page in quotes is for reference only and will not be updated).
They will certainly be different from the coins we have done in the past and will have a distinct feel about them. They are the first of their kind. Since we have never done a coin without any paint or epoxy it is completely new territory. We have an excellent manufacturer, and I am working with a new girl named Christy, who has been great. I have high hopes for this edition.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a moment to make sure your request is listed correctly on Page 1, Post 1. I will be going back through to make sure everything is accurate tomorrow and will be finalizing the order Thursday morning so we can proceed to production.

The deadline for ordering new coins has now passed. Tomorrow morning I will send our deposit to the manufacturer and we will begin production. I will also obtain the tracking numbers from Groundspeak combine that list with the custom engraving list and send it to Christy at coinsforanything.com

RACE, I just sent my payment via paypal. Unfortunately, in my haste to get it to you (I haven't been on the forum for a couple of days), I forgot to put my screen name and shipping address in the comments section. I sent you an email with the information. Thank you again for putting this together!

Today I placed our deposit and production will begin on Monday. Our order has been officially finalized. I have also paid for the tracking numbers and should receive them shortly. If I had to guess I would expect to receive the coins around August 8. I will get a more accurate date from Christy on Monday. Have a good weekend.

At least the cost of the tracking #'s, even with the increase, will not be to bad. Given that only 41 of the ones being produced of the 105 are trackable.

Annie from Groundspeak sent me the tracking numbers today. I have sent our completed engraving list to the manufacturer. I hope to be able to give you a target completion date tomorrow.

These will almost be as cool as the Double Eagles from the T/OT thread!

I hope so. Annie sent me a copy of the art work for approval. One thing needed to be changed. Hopefully I will get the corrected version today and we will proceed.
Update 07-25-2011 Our coins are in production. They have forwarded our engraving list to the engravers and everything is a GO. Christy emailed me today and told me that we will know the target completion date in a few days. I will pass it along as soon as I hear from her. I thought that they would have let me know that information sooner. Sorry about that.

Our estimated completion date is 8/12. The coins should arrive at my house sometime around 8/17. I will get them sorted, packaged and shipped soon thereafter.
Update 08-01-2011 I have been away for a few days but just completed our final payment for the geocoins. Nothing is standing in the way for them to ship to me once they are completed.
Update 08-06-2011 Nothing new to report other than roduction appears to be on schedule. I just wanted to keep you in the loop.

Hehehe a little jabbing, but all meant in good fun! I can't wait to see them, I am sure they are gonna look amazing!
I am curious though, you said you had to approve the artwork, and make a small change. I thought the artwork had to remain exactly the same, with the permission from GM and all for the coins.....

It had to do with the recessed areas. I had wanted it to be smooth but they said that when they are produced the surfaces are slightly uneven and look better if the recessed areas had a sandblasted finish. I ended up following their recommendations. The coins will be the same artwork as before.
My prototype no-paint coin had the same sandblasted finish in the recessed areas and really looks good in person, especially in sunlight. I am confident that it will be a good result with the antique finish on the raised areas.

Our coins are traveling. They have begun the first leg of the journey to you. According to UPS they will be on my doorstep sometime on the 18th. I will need about 12 working hours to sort and package them. If all goes well the coins will be in the mail again via USPS on The 20th. Those if you in the Midwest should begin receiving them soon after.
