We should have the tracking codes from Groundspeak early next week. Everything is on schedule. Production begins Monday.
I would like to thank those of you who have already sent your payment for your coins. I appreciate the speed of payment since it will keep things moving, but I am also honored by your trust and confidence in me to handle your money and complete the project. I will continue to do my best to meet your expectations.
On a side note, did the group pm that I sent out last night go through? If not I will send it again.
My paypal is still waiting for funds to transfer. 3 to 5 days yeah right. Says transfer will complete monday or tuesday. Will send the money as soon as paypal has their act together.

Not to derail the thread, but this is how long it takes for a bank transfer without your PayPal account being backed by a Credit Card. Being backed by a CC guarantee's rather instant transfer of funds.

Oh, I know that. But I have a CC on the account. And the bank transfer said 3 to 5 days 7 days ago. And it's "projected completion" date is still 2 to 3 days out. I may be from the south cacilaki edumicational system, but I'm pretty sure 10 is more than 5. But paypal has never liked me for some reason. My account get restricted every 2nd or 3rd time I try to use it for "suspicious activity". But it all eventually works out.

As far as transferrs go, Monday isn't a hard deadline. I would like to get the financial end done as soon as possible though and I appreciate your assistance. Projects like this are time consuming. I also have to process your orders perfectly. Getting the money end completed allows me to better concentrate on other aspects of the project.
So far in the three previous projects only two coins out of the hundreds made have been delivered with errors and they were the fault of the engraver. The manufacture is an excellent company and remade them properly at no charge. The buyer got a free coin in each case.
I have gone back to the Order 1 method of financing by not waiting for everyone to pay before ordering. It has given us a week head start but could leave me holding unpaid coins. I am not too worried about it because I am confident in our group. Most of you have taken part in previous geocoin projects.

I recieved the PMs. Paypal sent Thanks a lot for the creation and continuing of the Geocoin projects. You have proven yourself many times over to the Fiero community. We would always send you money in a heartbeat no matter what the project is because you always follow through and exceed everyones expectations. Thanks again, Chris
Very Important. There is a lot of information in this post. Please take a moment to read it.
From the 1st geocoin project I have always said that this is a group effort. This is your final responsibility if you have already paid. Please make sure that your coins have the proper engraving listed on Post 1 Page 1 of this thread. If nothing is listed after the quantity your coin will be automatically be assigned a geocaching tracking number. If you have requested personalized engraving make sure that it is listed correctly. It will appear on the coin exactly the way it is in the list. I am going to cut and paste to avoid errors.
The deadline is Wednesday at noon CDT to correct any engraving errors. Please send me a pm if there is a problem. We should receive our tracking numbers from Groundspeak sometime on Wednesday. At that time I will send our complete list to the engraver. Once the list is sent it can not be altered.
If you have paid and I don't show you as having done so please let me know by pm.
If your request is accurate and you have paid, your part is done. I thank you for being part of the 4th Edition Fiero Geocoin. Each time, I have enjoyed creating these with you.
If you still need to send your money please do so at your earliest convenience. The vultures have already begun circling for unpaid coins. (B)
Until I receive payment for your coins I am financing your requests. I have already made the first payment to the manufacturer. The ballance will be paid on Wed. If there are unpaid coins I will set a payment deadline sometime around the time that I ship the coins. If I have not received payment by the deadline I will send pm's to the appropriate people. If I still don't hear back or receive payment I will need to recover my money and release the unpaid coins to my alternate list.
I will take a wild guess and estimate that I should receive the coins sometime around the 27th.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you for coming back for another edition. I appreciate all of my returning geocoin project members.
Edited: hinesb1890, I have made the change you requested. I copy and paste exactly what was given to me for accuracy purposes. Thanks for taking the time to verify your engraving request.

Today I am trying to get all of my shipping papers in order. There are still some organizational details that need to be ironed out and they should be resolved shortly. None will effect our time line.
I did not get back home to Iowa in time to meet the cut-off for payment in order to get our tracking numbers today but I believe that will receive them on Friday. It should have little or no effect upon our completion schedule. I do apologize for missing the deadline today. I have been doing most of the work on this project with an Ipod Touch using wifi. For that reason I will not access my PayPal account or other security sensitive aspects of the project on an unsecured or public network. Your money is in there. I hope that you will understand.

Groundspeak sent our tracking codes this afternoon. I have forwarded our complete engraving list to the manufacturer. All we have to do now is wait for the coins to arrive.

Our geocoins have shipped, beginning the first leg of their journey. As of yesterday they were in Richmond VA.
They have a target arrival date of July 8, to my house. I don't believe that they will arrive at my house before I have to go back to work but I will send them out as soon as I am able. I will keep you posted about their location.
Edit: They left Richmond yesterday and are traveling west right now.

I got home a day early and have just looked at the new coins. They are fantastic. I am packaging them right now.
If you like it here wait until you see it in person. The photo does not do them justice. It can't. You have to hold it in your hand to fully appreciate it. Actual size.
The problem is that I have to leave again a day early and will not be home long enough to get to the post office since they are not open on Sunday. They will be ready to ship as soon as I get back. I will get them out as soon as I can.
Edit to add a little group photo. ------------------ Central Iowa Fieros

After nearly 11 continuous days of traveling I should finally get home in a few hours. Tonight I will finish packaging the coins and get them all in the mail tomorrow morning. (Except for Tim's. I will hand it to you on Sunday myself).
