I know the movie and the poster had the Lambo leaping over a cop car. The actual title of the movie was Speed Zone. The used a white lambo in the movie for the stunt while a grandfather was teaching his grandson how to skip stones in the pond.

The day after my son wrecked my 2.8 SE into a tree and ripped off the driver's side, I drove it home too. Very tough little cars!

Sure would like to have had the GT rear wing and wing stands they wasted. Some sob pulled mine off breaking the stands where they fit onto bottom of wing. Anyone know where I can get a set?

It's really fricken annoying the way MB drags each segment out way longer than they should. They could have shown the whole Fiero segment while they were playing with rat pee.

I thought the same thing as soon as the car pulled up.

I would have rather seen a lambo destroyed than the Fieros, then that's just me.

Soooo funny seeing the 86 Owner's Manual / DIY Guide come flying out of the center console along with lots of random papers. Made me feel like I had something in common with that Fiero.

They had to point out the fact that skipping a car over water is "very easy" but I'm sure anyone who has ever had their car hydroplane would say the same thing.

That was awesome, just shows how tough a Fiero is.
What is hotter than a blonde sitting on your trunk installing a 100 shot.

The 1/4 windows looked ok too after the flip.
How many cars can do a cartwheel and still drive home, sorta.

I hope the gold one doesn't end up in the junk yard. It looks like it can be fixed. I don't know about the yellow one. Sad... They could have used a toyota MR2 turbo.

I also let them know how i felt about trashing a piece of American History, though it will most likely only prompt a chuckle and a click of the delete button.

I can't imagine being that upset to write a letter of complaint. Thanks guys, you make me laugh.

I mean, people are dying every day. Kids starving to death. Who could really get upset over this?

Yes, it's sad that two Fieros were destroyed in the process. Still, it's a better faith than what some Fiero's have to suffer through in the hands of some "Fiero Lovers". I mean, the Fiero got some air-time (no pun intended), it was good publicity for the car's safety and they didn't mock the car.

They died for a good cause.

PS: I love the Mythbusters show (and will still do so after this episode) and I haven't seen the episode yet.

Yellowstone,
when I saw the show it made me think of your car when they painted it yellow anyway.

I was still sad that they trashed 2 Fiero's. the one cool thing to be said is that both of them still ran after
it was a good test of how well the Fiero's held up. one after being fliped and the other after a 100 shot of NOS.

Wasnt happy to see them get trashed but im not too sure on just how badly they WERE trashed!
They both drove away and could possibly be sold and made into nice fieros again.
Personally, if its not in a crusher, fieros dont die, they can always return from the dead!
I did like the little fiero drawings they used in between shots and the notchie did look cool skipping the water, it made me laugh.
I hated that they trashed that nice 1/12 lambo model too, im sure it was worth a good amount of money itself.
Is nothing sacred to them!?;D
Later.

Personally I still can't believe the gold one lasted through the NOS. I thought for sure it would bake before the water and die. And it definitely speaks volumes of the structural integrity of our little cars. Although it was definitely sad seeing that nice gold notchie get trashed. =[

Edit to add: Does this officially make our cars "rare"?

how cool was that !!!

I think they got the flames idea from my car!lol

What nobody wants to make their car remote controlled?? THAT was the coolest thing I was thinking!!

And what was up with the "back to the future" drier vent hose over the roof???

makes me want to do that same thing! but my ft. scoop will make me a sub!

So bottom line....................

Notchy are better than fastbacks???

The Mythbusters don't know too much anbout Fieros. One of the guys mentioned that they were 15 year old cars. I guess he doesn't know math either.
I think we will be seeing the Fieros in future episodes, as they seem to re-use the cars they buy until they are totally destroyed. I guess they don't know how to install nitrous in the cars either. Six nozzles seems like a bit of overkill to me. I guess the over the roof pipe was to try and prevent hydrolocking, so it does seem they weren't really intending to destroy the cars completly, this time around.

i remember seeing somewhere several months ago (can't find with search) that somebody was looking for 2 running Fieros delivered to someplace in Northern California, all for free. I just remember it because i thought 2 cars, running & delivered all for free, good luck with that. I want to say it was in the mall section but again, can't find it. Anyway they asked and somebody delivered so you can't hate them for it. Hate the person who gave them up. Plus it gave our little car some good TV time. Way better than a 2 second flash on a movie. They were the stars of this one! And like somebody else said, they will be back too.
