Now that Round-up 11 is in the history book, Galveston Ruckus planning is in high gear. As if I didn't have enough to do being a full-time single parent summer Dad, and getting my own car ready for the 25th... I will be solidifying the Ruckus plans here in the next couple of weeks.
Everything is subject to change, but you already have an idea what this is going to be like from the opening post.
I didn't even know this thread existed. I'll be there!!! Be advised, on both 4th of July, and Memorial Day weekend, the wait time for the Bolivar Ferry crossing exceeded 1 hour from Gal to Bolivar. Not nearly that on the return trip back to Galveston.

Lisa is about done with her shirt design ideas. I will scan them in and post them to see which idea for her to continue with. I should be able to post them at the end of next week.

Lisa has finished the T shirt design. She is currently getting prices and t shirt colors. She is also looking into the possibility of getting some shirts made just for the ladies so they don't have to wear a men's shirt. As soon as she gets me a jpeg of the design I will post it.

It looks great! As soon as the design is finalized...it will start getting plastered all over the place. The planning is ongoing behind the scenes. Probably will scout out the route/hotel/restaurant this weekend.
I am going to fight for a decent hotel rate like I had lined up for the G-Barf, but I might have burned that bridge when I had to cancel at the last minute.

trying hard to get vacation. Hate to interrupt, but
Hi, New P/C, lost all e-mail and personal addresses and phone numbers, BUMMER. Please send me any info that you don't mine me having while I rebuild my personal data base. send to: fieroseblack@yahoo.com
I was going to try and finalize the hotel this weekend...but so far Gustav has me pinned to the weather channel to see if I need to book out of town. But we are going to be making some plans here real soon. Yeah I checked and the Flagship is not too bad considering it's right on the water...literally.
How about a roll call and see how many are serious about going to the Ruckus.

jscott1, I was at the NTFC's, (North Texas Fiero Club), lunch last weekend and everyone was wanting info about the "Galveston Red River Ruckus 2008". I plan on going back up for the next meeting, maybe you could come up also. There was about 12 members there for the lunch last Sat . They are having a pool party after the lunch this next month in Terrell.
Maryjane try to finish up your fence so you and Clamityjane can come. It was just 2hrs 20 min from Huntsville.
And I would like the seat cover you are holding for me before "Galveston Red River Ruckus 2008" so I can put it on my seat.
Count me in for two in Galveston.

I sure wish that one of these years I could make it to another Ruckus. I have such fond memories of the inaugural Ruckus at Lake Texoma. I'm glad to see that this idea has survived and thrived. I think everyone should make it a mission to make it to a Ruckus at least once in their lives. It's great to have an event that is all about the people and the love of the car instead of trophies and judges.
Have a great time, y'all.

------------------ Pleased to meet you, I hope you've guessed my name.
Heh, being 'on' the water is why I chose it on our trip last year and I would love to go back! And again, it was cheap. And close to restaraunts, etc. And not too dirty either
As far as a tally goes... count Jed, Daniel, and myself in for sure. And Stephen, regardless of what he says I'll make sure he's there.
I urge everyone who can, to take advantage of Jonathon's planning, regarding lodging. Sometimes, the discounts only are in effect if XX # of people show up to claim their reservations. Let's not let him down.

I`m in too. I missed the show in San Antonio but I will make this one. I gotta make sure my AAA is up to date just in case of problems. I`m just hoping it gets a bit cooler in the next month because my AC has gone kaput.

Wish you could too Jeff. RRR1 was really what got us seriously started into the Fiero experience. Fond memories!!
I am in for this little trip. Going to have to bring the Honda though being the Fiero is in the shop for repairs. The mechanic said it will be several months before its ready.

Cost is in the $10 range. We are still waiting on the shipping charges to determine final cost. The color will be a blue similar to what is in the picture. Sizes S-2XL are available plus girl shirts.
Jonathan make sure to include Lisa and I in the attendance.
