Bump Is the weekend of the 28th still a good weekend for the Gbarf? I haven`t seen any other thread about it and I wanted to make sure that the date was still good.

I'm free from Thailand in a week and will be heading back to Houston the day after Christmas with the Fiero this time, not just the family SUV. I will probably be on the road on the 29th somewhere between New Mexico and Houston...I know, lot of land to cover in that part of the country...
So, if you decided on the weekend of the 5th that works GREAT!!! hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean?
Hope I'm back in time to make it.

Well, then, if you miss the G-Barf, we'll just have to get together anyway and call it the RE-Barf. Looks like I will still be in town at that time.

Hmmmm, my cupholder and I will be heading to Houston on Thurs, 27th. We have an appointment on West Loop 610 Fri morning at the Russian Consulate. After that little detour, we'll be heading to G-BARF for Friday afternoon arrival. No Fiero for this trip. Suburban will hold the necessary fishing gear (and the vodka, hehehehe).
See you guys there!
Jonathon, what hotel for Fri., 28th and subsequent?

I'll be selecting the host hotel this weekend... All we need is low prices, lots of parking, and a view of the beach, (if you stick your head out the window and look several blocks)

Actually, there is lots of those at the chosen time of the year. They are begging for tenants.
O.K. now, got any good suggestions for a pilgrim and his wife on Thurs 27th near 1333 West Loop 610 South?

I was with jscott on the search for a hotel, and this is a great place. It's BRAND NEW, and the rooms are BEAUTIFUL. A nice pool too, so bring your suit. $68.95 is truly a terrific deal for this.

Hey Chuck, thanks I forgot all about the link to post# but either you linked to the first post or it doesn't work on the PDA edition of PFF.
I'm anxoius to get some feedback on who has called reserved a room. As Chuck mentioned we went up and down the Island to get the best deal and right before New Year's we got an awesome deal.

Cheever (and others): Because my bride needs to be at the Russian Consulate on the morning of Friday (28th), I have made reservations at the Candlewood Suites (sound familiar, Chuck?) for the 27th. We'll be there 2 p.m. or so. Dinner in the Galleria, maybe?

Are we talking 2 pm the 27th or 2 pm the 28th? I should be off work the 27th, but might have difficulty with that on the 28th.
The Galleria has The Cheesecake Factory, Bennigan's, Ninfa's, Chili's, etc. Name yer poison!
