I didn't know you and Jennifer had a truck and trailer! It is more than 25 mile to San Antonio from Cowtown, right. Or will you be towing Revin's Pflugermobile with yours?

Such a bummer, of course, on the positive side, your gaining a new family member, NO? Expect to see that one at next years event fer shure eh? Please let me know what to do with your registration and I will comply... Enjoy the new addition......
On another note.....hey folks! I would like to say that I believe that we put on one heck of a show....one that everyone finds something about to enjoy, so I want to go ahead and make this public at this time. If you attend one of our Roundup events, and for some reason do not enjoy yourself as a fault of something that we did or did not do, within reason, I will cheerfully refund your entry fee! So, with that out there on the table, please refrain from sending and further entries in with a date on the check of April 18, or post event for that matter! Hehe Guess that fella wanted to make SURE he enjoyed this years event rather than being committed or the like....!
Things are still on track here in the Alamo town, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone here and having one heck of a good time......
Oh and for the record......shame on you folk that couldnt keep an event highlight secret! THERE, I said it.....nuff said.
Revin, DONT even think about backing out now buddy.......you should know by now the type of group we are down here, and can easily say that should you decide to make yourself scarce on said weekend, that Austin is NOT that far out of the way and our Hill Country Cruise could easily, EASILY find its way to your home location. Jus think of waht the neibors would say. Better to take you medicine where the general public dont know ya......

Yes, a new family member, that I can do with as I want!! Yep, next year. The registration fee? Consider it a small donation to AAFO.
ok since maryjane ain't coming.... I will show up.
Rob, I didn't know we could post date the check!! dam! next year ok?
I did some campaining.....I went into the memberlist on PFF and pm alot of Texas boys to come and included the link to the AAFO site. Do I get a prize?
Just remember!....... pull a prank on revin......you WILL get one back
Hey everyone, On a sad note, I thought I would let everyone know that Heidi's mother is in the hospital undergoing some very serious cancer surgery. Heidi has gone to Pennsylvania to be with her and father. Her prognosis is not yet known so we don't know how long Heidi will be there or if I will also need to go. At this point, we don't think this will keep us out of the Round-Up. I will keep you posted....

Ken, Ditto on the thoughts for Heidi and her mother. It's always tough to hear distressing news from any of our extended AAFO family. We hope all goes well for Heidi's mom. You will be greatly missed at the Roundup if you are not able to attend!! Especially by Revin!!! He knows not what awaits him--your plot will definitely be the highlight of the weekend. Revin can lead the morning "cruise", then we can go on the PM cruise!! So, try to make it if family commitments allow. As for the rest of the Fierophiles in the great State of Texas--we need to see all of you down here for the Roundup!! Our get-together in the Alamo city is among the best Fiero events in the whole great State. Anyone who has had the good fortune to attend in the past can attest to the great times. Even if your drive is not running, jump into whatever you've got and join the greatest group of Fiero fans in the US. The comradery and tech talk will be worth whatever time and expense it takes to get here. You'll definitely go home with new enthusiasm for whatever project you have going with your Fiero orphan. Times running short, so get your registration in and make those hotel reservations and BE HERE!!!

Here's the low-down-go-round-down town pre-registers, I have heard several more of you say you are going to be here, where are YOU!
The "Hill Country Run" route has been tested and is outstanding, thanks to the Dynamic Duo...Ron Titus & Clarlie Cintron, ending up at a great grubbing place that the ladies will truly enjoy. No Big Mac this weekend baby, it's the real thing.
San Antonio ROUND-UP VIII is going to be GREAT, don't be to late, for your on sake. C.O.O.K.I.E.S..W.A.R.M.I.N.G..I.N..T.H.E..S.U.N !!
Blake....two weeks and a counting!
We will truely miss those who are unable to attend due to family or other situations that can arise as a part of life. I have been through those periods in recent times and I will go through them again. The blacksmiths and sword makers of the past found each time they put their steel back into the fire and beat on it a little more, it came out stronger. This is where the terms twice fired and/or trice fired originated, or so I was once told or made it up, I can't remember.

I'll bring before pics. But I will be sending it. Count this valleyite in. Oh, and Carlos is coming but he won't be bringing his Fiero. I bet he will be bringing lots of pictures so you guys can see what he did to it though...
See you guys soon!

Thanks everyone for the kind works about the situation with Heidi's mom. As of today, she is still in the hospital without a solid prognosis. It is hoped that she can gain her strength enough to become an outpatient for all the remaining treatments that will be required. Heidi is helping to arrange for professional help for her mom (if) when she is released from the hospital. Once that is done Heidi can come home - hopefully in time for the Round-Up! The Captain Revin Kevin Fun Boat's helm is almost finished. About all that is left is some wiring and a touch of paint for the final touches. If it turns out that I can't make it to the Round-Up I will try to find a way to get the stuff there so the boat can still "float". Oh, one more thing, we will need someone to do video! Time is running short!!!
If it helps any....you can just forget about the revin boat thing...... I know that it is hard to do two things at once! Just leave it alone and be with Heidi !!!!!!!

Money orders are fine, but if your not actually selling Fiero stuff, or entering a car, then save your money and just buy a T-Shirt at the event and pitch a couple of bucks into the jar for the Guide Dog Foundation!
In any event, jus like Doc said, bring what you can, just bring yourself!

Several possibilities have been discussed, but it looks like we're settled on San Angelo - that's right... home of maryjane. The date is October 9. (Don: have you gotten my emails lately?) I would ask if you can come to that one, Steve, but your answer will change many times over the next 6 months.

If that was the case you would have several paques with no picture on them!!! You ran around, (HAULED), that red faided GT with black fiberglassed primer paint for years. Every Fiero worth having has been in primer at one point or another. Give Steve a BREAK! Everyone can tell he would like to come to ROUND-UP VIII.
San Angelo, I was there a few months ago. As a Manager for Corporate Goodyear I got to go out to the proving ground area and run on some test tires. We got to drive "earth movers", 4X4 and high performance applications. The high performance was a blast!
It would be great to see Don & Mary Jane again as I missed RRR due to my Mom's death.

So I'm coming to San Antonio one way or the other...hopefully in a Fiero. After having TWO cars in last years show neither is presently on the road. I wrecked my coupe and it's undergoing repairs and my GT is scheduled to come off the jack stands sometime this weekend to try out it's new suspension.
I wouldn't miss Revin's boat ride for the world, will see you guys in two weeks!

Guess it would be hard for me to come up with an excuse to miss this one huh? Yep, got your emails, including one tonight. Did you get the pictures I sent? I will check with Mitchell Pontiac, about 1 mile from my home BTW, about holding it there, but I don't know if they have room in the back to move the new cars to, but I have seen them host classic cars there before. I know there isn't room there for a blindfold race. Someone will be off in Red Arroya before they know what happened. There are at least 2-4 restraunts within walking distance of Mitchell Pontiac-4105 Sherwood Way. A very big Mr Gattis-4349 Sherwood Way Rosa's Mexican Restraunt-4235 Sherwood Way Applebees-4333 Sherwood Way Outback-4505 Sherwood Way Logan's Roadhouse-4384 Sherwood Way Little Mexico-4289 Sherwood Way
Autozone, O'riellys, and 3 River's Autoparts(AC Delco distributor) are within a mile or 2 of Mitchell's Pontiac. WalMart, Target, and The Hated Mall not much further.
Nearest decent motels are about 3-5 miles away on Loop 306. La quinta-2307 w. Loop 306 Best Western-3017 w. Loop 306 Hampton Inn-2959 w. Loop 306 Comfort Inn (accross from IHOP & McDonalds)-2502 w. Loop 306(restraunt and cocktail lounge) and another I can't recall the name of.
Sherwood Way is where the ricer kids hang out on Fri/Saturday night usually in the Sonic or Baskin Robbins Parking lot.

So mike, any chance WE can go there and race? or in maryjane's case......just drive around it?

It is a closed site. There are several testing areas for different tire test. I don't know if there are outside tours available, but I will check. I guess it would depend on what being tested and how restricted is the tire production test. We were escorted everywhere on the grounds. But I don't believe any TRAILER tires are tested there.

You talking about the test facility out north of San Angelo, on highway 277? I went out there several times, when I worked at another machine shop. The big truck & trailer tires are, or were tested out on the highways. You see that big hopper looking thing, kinda looks like an 'overpass'? That's where they load the steel shot onto the trailers for carefully measured weight, or used to anyway. It's strange to see the tractors going round in circles, tethered to the pole. Deer used to be a big problem out on the hi speed track too. My ex boss bought 2, 90something vettes they auctioned off, and one had had hit a deer. Lots of miles on them, but they still ran good. They came with new tires too.

Yes, Don and the tractors aren't teathered anymore they run by remote computer controled steering.
I got to ride with one of the test drivers in an non-production modified Camaro, I thought Revin's driving was scarey, these guys are scarey. We did a wet track test where they didn't use the brakes at all, the stoping was done by bringing the rear of the car around whereby the car stoped as it was sideways into the skid. No need for XLAX.
Revin, they may have only held rooms till April 1, 2003. I don't know what's close by.

Really bad news... Heidi's mom has taken a turn for the worse. I'm afraid that neither of us will be able to make the Round-Up. Major bummer. I'll try to stay in touch.
Just an up-date. It looks like it is going to be GREAT weather. Ran the A/C today, had to be high 70s low 80s. Still nice and cool in am and pm, no need for jacket.
I am truly expecting this to be the best ever ROUND-UP! It just keeps geting better as our circle of friends grows, so grows the ROUND-UP. Hey, we have said it before, if it were not for you, this would just be another AAFO meeting. You are the difference! VIVA La Difference.
If you have not signed up and you are anywhere where San Antonio is do-able, do it! You will see some realy cool cars and meet some of the greatest people that you could hope to meet and then there is Revin too.
The Hill Country cruise will be great, bring your cameras and radios as well. The spot that has been picked fo dinner on Saturday PM is outstanding. Your spouse or other will be pleased as punch. Dancing as well if you wish!!!
YO.... Blake one week and couning, get the oven pre-heated, TEXAS SIZE COOKIES are on the way.
